About The Owner/Property Manager
We bought the plot for this villa in 2005 and built the villa over the next couple of years. We visited frequently and got to know the Apokoronas well. We would like to share this experience and hope that you enjoy as much as we do.
The Owner/Property Manager purchased this Villa in 2006

A perfect place to stay!!
It is situated in a lovely part of Crete.
Has everything within the villa to enjoy your stay. The pool is just lovely.
We will be returning next year. We have family there and visit every year, have stayed in several, prefer this one.
Thank you for your positive comments - you would be very welcome to stay again at the Villa
An enjoyable break in great accommodation
We have stayed in this general location over a number of years and have always enjoyed the experience and this year was no exception. The accommodation is clean, fresh and well laid out. The three bedrooms are well sized and the kitchen and living spaces are more than adequate. The pool is lovely and a great size for everyone to enjoy. If you are hiring a car get one with good suspension as the final drive up to the house can be a little uneven though don't let this detract from the villa as it is in a great location for access to the beaches and countryside.
A very nice villa!!
Thank you for your Review and I am pleased you enjoyed your stay.
It is good news that the Dimos (council) has finally agreed to tarmac the drive and this is due to start later this year or early next.
It will be a great improvement and I hope all goes to plan.
Property in a remote but lovely location, with great views to the mountains and over the bay.
We really had an excellent holiday and would love to return.
Lovely Relaxing Holiday
We had a lovely and relaxing holiday in Crete staying at Villa Aurora. Location was a little more remote than we thought but the views were stunning and the villa was well equipped and comfortable. Pleased we had a suitable car for the approach road and when the temperatures hit 42' for a few days, a shaded parking area would have been useful. The attractive stonework of the villa though kept the property cool inside and the air conditioning was very efficient.
A wonderful relaxing holiday.
We had a lovely holiday at villa Aurora. It is a great location for exploring the local area.
Delighted you enjoyed the tranquility and privacy of your time at the Villa. It is so nice to know that guests appreciate our welcoming and take the time to tell us. It would be a pleasure to welcome you again.
Kokkino Chorio is a small traditional Cretan village. You can walk through the narrow streets of the village and think yourself in another era. By the village square is a Taverna serving a variety of traditional recipes for all tastes in a picturesque centre. There is a well-stocked mini-market called Voreinos run by Giorgos, who is very friendly and helpful. Further along the road is a Snack Bar serving Drinks, Breakfast and sandwiches etc. Opposite, is the The church of St Halambros and on the outskirts a glass blowing factory where you can watch traditional blown glass at the workshop. Alongside, in a pretty setting is To Yaladiko, an organic taverna with a pleasant atmosphere, wonderful views and serving traditional Greek dishes.
Above the village near Agios Giorgios Church you can visit the German war dugout but remember to take a torch through the underground bunker complex. The walk may be a little steep but the view is stunning from the high position.
