About Kerry and Danny Winchester
We are Danny and Kerry and we live in Hastings. If you need any information on the area please call or e mail us.
Kerry and Danny Winchester purchased this Cottage in 2015
Why Kerry and Danny Winchester chose Icklesham
This beach area has always been a favourite of mine since my school holidays. The location is good for people who love the beach and the countryside as both are on the doorstep. The location is perfect for travel to all the local historic towns ,beaches and gardens of the south east. Rye nature reserve is within walking distance along the fabulous coastal route. There is also a good fishing area.
What makes this Cottage unique
A fabulous property close to the beach and local pub/ restaurant in walking distance. Although a grade two listed property it has the charm of an older cottage with the benefit of a complete renovation to suit modern living.

Every convenience and emaculatly clean
We stayed in this beautiful cottage over the Easter break. Spinet has everything you need for a very.comfortable stay. The decor throughout is lovely, the rooms are very clean, light and airy.
The close proximity to the beach was a real treat, being able to walk to the sea was a pleasure. Having good parking outside the cottage was also a bonus.
Kerry and Danny have put a lot of effort into making this holiday rental feel like a home from home.
We would be happy to return again one day.
Could not fault, beautiful cottage !
LOVELY SUSSEX COTTAGE
WE WERE VERY SURPRISED AT THE STANDARD OF EVERYTHING IN THE COTTAGE,FROM DECOR TO BEDS ECT .THE KITCHEN WAS VERY WELL EQUIPPED WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEED. UNFORTUNATELY IT WAS RAINING MOST OF THE TIME,BUT THERE WAS EVERYTHING TO ENTERTAIN.WE DID CELEBRATE OUR ELDEST GRAND DAUGHTERS BIRTHDAY WHILE THERE.THERE IS A GREAT WALK FROM WINCHELSEA BEECH TO RYE HARBOUR WITH A VERY NICE PUB AT THE END.
THERE IS ALSO A GOOD BUS SERVICE BACK.ALL IN ALL WE HAD A VERY PLEASENT TIME AND WOULD RETURN.WE WOULD RECOMMEND A STAY IN SPINET TO ALL.
Great location, great cottage, great for a relaxing week
Handy location - Battle, Bodium, Hastings, Rye - all less than 30 minutes away, Cottage is lovely, well equipped, with out being packed to the gills with useless stuff. Plenty of room for our family of 5. Very convenient for the beach - has a very pleasant walk to Rye via the coast - straight out o the front door.
On our arrival the property was most welcoming it was very clean and the welcome pack was superb quality .having spent the night there it was very comfortable and quiet the only thing I could fault was the lounge seating .as there was six adults it was a bit of a squeeze and we brought the arm chair in from the dining room but it was a bit overcrowded but apart from that it was really great .we were very lucky with the weather as it was lovely
Wetlands for bird watching, photography and beach in short walking distance from the cottage as are, local co op store and four pubs with good restaurants (one within short walking distance) .The historic town of Rye is 5 miles away and has many festivals including Jazz and scallop.Rye has a weekly market on Thursday. Please see the tourist websites for Rye, Battle and Hastings. Hastings has the smugglers adventure caves, museums, Jerwood Art Gallery, the Old Town fishing fleet and many restaurants. Camber sands is 6 miles from Pett Level and has a kite surfing centre as well as a fantastic all sand beach.
