Excellent!!

It was excellent!! There is everything you need in the house like kitchen essentials, towels enough for more than a month. It is a small cozy studio apartment. The only problem is the absence of sunlight but it can't be complained as it is already mentioned in the description. Overall i would highly recommend this place.

Great guy Luis, but only average accomodation.

No light in the suite, so not a place one wants to spend much time in. Rainy days would not be enjoyable. The back little patio , maybe 12 sq. Ft smells of a sewer from the drain. Not nice.Typical Portugese bed, rather hard.

Garbage truck wake up every morning , right outside the front door at 2 am

Everyday except Sundays

Can also hear perfectly every noise and movement from people in the apartment above.

No fixture attachment on wall for shower head faucet, so one must hold the faucet

In ones hand.

Internet not connecting without a special device from Luis.

Luis was very attentive to be sure, but the apartment is not great. Sorry

Owner's Response: Hello, Brian! I'm so sorry that you just consider it to be only average accommodation, although, as it states on the description, I don't promise more than average. Yes, no luxuries or views, just a small studio to sleep and cook some days for a budget price. Actually, I think that's because of that description that guests enjoy the place. But, of course, there are different expectations. So, I took your comments very seriously and I would like to reply to each. "No light in the suite": It's in the description of the place that it’s not a place with much natural light, but it has windows on the front door direct to the street. "The back little patio": It's usually closed, it's only for draining water rains or in the summer, storage or if someone wants to have a smoke but doesn't want to go to the street. "Typical Portuguese bed": You were to first to find it too hard, so I got you a soft topper for the mattress, remember? You’ve seem to enjoyed it. Anyway, it's now on the flat, if anyone wants to use it. "Garbage truck wake up every morning": it's a small old neighborhood street, those damn garbage trucks are part of Lisbon's life. We are always trying to put an end to it, but for now we just consider it one of Lisbon wonders. So, you're right: if you rent this flat it's possible you hear once in a while the garbage trucks (at least until they definitely change the system). "Can also hear perfectly every noise and movement from people in the apartment above": There are residents and more tourists on the building, maybe at the time there were noisy people upstairs (you should have told me so I could talk with them to keep it quieter). "No fixture attachment on wall for shower head faucet": yes, although nobody ever complained about that. But I’m glad you've mentioned, I’m inserting one now. "Internet not connecting without a special device": Yes, it happened - another first time ever, until now no guests ever had that problem. The special device you mention it’s just a portable Wi-Fi hub. I hope I've answered correctly all the questions presented. And thank you for the compliment: yes, I'm included in the pack (most of the times with a good humor and for free!, when I’m not available I always have friends ready to help). Besides that, yes, I try to be a rather good host and I'm always happy to help all the visitors and try to solve any problems or questions quickly. Nice apartment in the centre

The apartment is nice, and in the historical centre, close to the metro station and the railway station (Santa Apolonia). From the railway station it is very convenient to take trains to other cities in Portugal and also Madrid. Luis, the owner, prepared everything for the comfortable stay and his fiend Dario helped me with the accommodation and gave useful advice. I liked living in the old district.

"Luis thank you very much for everything,especially for your help with taxi!the apartment is very clean and in very quiet place, there is everything nesessary for stay.also the Sao Vincente cathedral and Pantheon are very good landmarks for getting home)))just near the house in rua da Veronica there were a bakery with tasty fresh bread and little cafe "o mio diamante" with very friendly host and very-very tasty fresh grilled fish (prato do dia- grilled fish+boiled potatos+salad+33cl beer+desert+coffee=7euro!)we stayed in July 2012 and there was not hot in the apartment in the evenings.so we are very glad that we had stayed in Luis apartment)))"
