Thank You... for a Memorable, Beautiful and Authentic Stay in Paris

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved staying here. The owner, Ms Limerat, was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish, and the apartment, perfect in every way. The location on a quiet side street near the Gare De Lyon was ideal, not just for its proximity to great transportation options to all that you’ll want to see in Paris but also for the variety of the neighborhood – a great bakery around the corner, any number of charming cafes, a wonderful eclectic collection of galleries and shops under the arches of the nearby viaduct. The fact that it’s somewhat off the regular beaten tourist path gave the experience of staying in the neighborhood a lovely realness and a sense what it would be like to live here. And then there’s the apartment itself, filled with light, and art, with beautiful terrazzo and wooden floors, elegant contemporary furniture, high ceilings, literature… and overall, a wonderful and authentic ‘feel’ of Paris that made our stay in the city so very complete. If – or rather when – we return to Paris we would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you so very much for a most memorable stay in your beautiful city!

Fantastic location and huge apartment

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is like someone's home that they just stepped out for the day from. There are tons of books all over. The kitchen is fully stocked and has things left from others before (always helpful!). The apartment is somewhat L shaped, and the bedrooms are on opposite ends. Maybe not great for toddlers, but was perfect for my teens. Bonus- if the windows are open, one could actually briefly (and somewhat quietly) talk across the back courtyard.

The location is great- right by the Gare de Lyon (train station) where there is a parking garage. We paid 75 Euro for about 48 hours. Lovely breakfast place right around the corner. About a 10- 15 minute walk to Notre Dame Cathedral down safe and interesting streets. Quiet neighborhood aside from the elementary school across the street. No worries there as they don't really start until 9am, and by late afternoon it is quiet again. Would happily stay here again!

Perfect place to stay to experience Paris!

  • 5 of 5

This was a lovely apartment in a nice neighborhood. It was literally steps from the Metro and train station, so very convenient to navigate the city. We loved the balcony that overlooked the schoolyard - it was a nice place to have a glass of wine after a long day walking the city. The apartment had all the amenities plus interesting artwork everywhere. It felt like we were residents rather than tourists. Thanks for a perfect Parisian holiday!

Perfect for small family, or two couples

  • 5 of 5

Our week here was not enough. We are a family of four, and found Chantal's apartment to be more than enough room for all of us to spread out and have some private space. Now first off; The location is PERFECT. You are far enough away from the tourist attractions to get a sample of "real life", but also, a 150 yard walk from a line 1 Metro stop, which gives you access to most sites in a few minutes. One of the best markets in Paris is a few blocks away, my kids and I walked down there every morning to get fresh fruit, snag a few pastries and get a couple shots of espresso. There are numerous grocery stores, wine shops, chocolate shops, tabacs, and generally everything you could possibly need, all within a few block radius. We found an almost unlimited variety of places to eat, from amazing higher end seafood in a famous French Bistro, to sushi, Thai, late night cafes, kabobs, and corner side roasted chickens with everything in between. We found several cafe/bars that were open until 2am or so, for that late nightcap.

Touring from the apartment was also a breeze, being so close to a metro stop, we felt that within 15 min you could be anywhere in the city.

The apartment has all the amenities you would expect, plus manages to retain some of its original Paris charm. All the beds were comfortable, and both bedrooms were very private from each other. One of the 2 toilets was in its own room, so someone could bath at the same time. Also, very importantly to us, you could have multiple showers in a row without using all the hot water(a rare luxury we have found).

Overall, sitting on the small balcony, overlooking a school yard, it was a truly memorable experience enjoying our evenings with some cheese, bread and wine listening to the children play,

Chantal, Thank you!

Perfect location for families

  • 5 of 5

This was our first trip to Paris so we were very nervous about which district to rent an apartment in that would feel safe yet provide us the Paris experience we were looking for. Without hesitation I can say this apartment was perfect in every way! Not only is it beautifully furnished with fabulous art work at every turn, it is literally foot steps from Gare de Leon, the largest and oldest train station in Paris. There's a police station around the corner on Diderot which is a major street with great restaurants, cafes, and groceries. Rue du Cotte is a couple of blocks away with several Michelin rated restaurants - make reservations in advance! There's an elevated pedestrian promenade across the street that leads to Bercy Park (beautiful) and Bercy Village (shopping, restaurants)...note: you can't ride bikes on the promenade or in the park. Chantal, the owner, was a pleasure to correspond with and made us feel very welcome in her home. I have recommended this lovely and very spacious apartment to friends visiting Paris this summer. My family will definitely stay here again.
