About The Owner

We are husband and wife team Andrea and Kurt. We are proud to welcome you into our lovely holiday homes, 'Meg's Cottage' and 'The Bolt Hole', which have been lovingly restored from a 250 year old agricultural barn. We are located in a private courtyard set back from the road in the village of Tiddington, a stone's throw from historic Stratford-upon-Avon town centre. We live about 250 metres away but you won't see us hanging around getting in your way, although we are always at hand if you need anything. We have been in Stratford for many years and we feel that this location is perfect for enjoying what Stratford has to offer or as a comfortable base for touring local areas. We have both spent our working lives in corporate hospitality and working closely with people, interpreting their requirements and going that extra mile. Why The Owner chose Stratford-upon-Avon

With Meg's Cottage and The Bolt Hole you will enjoy the contrasting features of a charming and cosy renovated building that is comfortable and inviting together with some modern technology to make your stay as entertaining as it is relaxing. We have been in the locality for over 30 years, and Andrea's parents before that, so we know the area and can help you make the most of your holiday. What makes this barn unique

There are two very charming, comfortable holiday homes full of character and style. We have retained many of the features you would expect to find in properties of this age, and enhanced them with heating throughout, flat screen tv, mood lighting, wifi and hifi equipment. Both have private garden areas and secure parking, with barbecue and outdoor furniture. You are welcome to borrow bicycles free of charge if you wish to cycle into Stratford town centre, or you can take the riverboat taxi and enjoy a leisurely trip on the River Avon into town.

Lovely time

We had a wonderful stay in Meg’s cottage. The barn was beautifully decorated and welcoming. The children enjoyed using the water taxi into Stratford and the crazy golf. We would love to stay again one day. Thank you

What a little gem!

  • 5 of 5

The property was immaculate, cosy and well equipped. Kurt met us and was very welcoming and went through everything, very knowledgeable and gave good advice for eating out etc. The cottage is a good base for exploring the area. We had a wonderful stay and made use of eating facilities in the village as well as Stratford itself. We were able to chill and relax in the evenings in the peace and quiet of the property. We would definitely recommend Megs Cottage - Ian & Christine, Alison & Stuart.

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

This cottage has everything you need, beautifully decorated, and warm in October with underfloor heating and hot water at any time of day. Great to be able to play own music and get into own accounts on smart tv. Welcome pack is very nice and all useful things are there such as dishwasher tablets, hair dryer, towels, etc so you don't need to bring anything which really makes a difference when you are only there for a few days. Excellent location, can go on boat into Stratford or drive as easy to park. Also village of Tiddington just a few minutes walk away with excellent restaurants and shop. Lovely towns nearby other than Stratford; Leamington Spa and Warwick are both really nice towns to visit, and castles - Warwick Castle obviously and Kenilworth. Owner Karl is very helpful with suggestions of all the things to do in the local area, and lives nearby and is happy to help out with anything; lots to do in Stratford, may well return as didn't have long enough to do everything. One of the best cottages we've ever stayed in.

Beautiful cottage

Stunning cottage, everything you need right on your doorstep, gorgeous 20 minute walk into Stratford town and also a beautiful 15 minute river taxi on your doorstep. The Indian restaurant in Tiddington town is amazing and only a 5 minute walk from the cottage.

There is something to suit everyone and all budgets - unique attractions, historic buildings, stately homes, sipping outlets, idyllic villages, health spas, golf, leisure, cycle ways, vineyards, canals, undulating countryside and winding rivers... All on your doorstep.
