My family loves to travel and we have stayed in many rental properties around the US and the world. We are pleased to offer this option to you!
Nancy purchased this house in 2013
We fell in love with Pine Island Lake as a relaxing vacation home. We live only 40 minutes away and are happy to accommodate your needs.
The view from the living room of the lake and the many windows that slide open for an open breeze are our favorites about the property. Stepping outside and going for an evening or early morning kayak ride is a bonus!
I am originally from western Mass and came home to visit family. I never feel like I am on vacation and usually feel like I have lots of running around to do. This was the first time I truly felt like I was on vacation. And I never really wanted to leave the house! The house had everything we could have needed. It was clean and comfortable. When I had a question, Nancy was quick to respond. The lake was quiet and pristine and there were numerous recreational items- kayaks, canoe, pedal boat, toys. Everything kept my kids busy and happy. Woke up to the sounds of birds chirping and the sun shining on the lake. I hope to come back again!
A well kept house on the lake with an awesome view of Pine Island and plenty of space for our family of four adults made for an enjoyable vacation. We used the kayaks, canoe, and paddleboat provided on a daily basis during our week long stay. Fishing was pleasurable as bass abounded and were caught often out of the canoe and off the end of the dock.. We have the pictures to prove it. Our daughters made several paddles in the canoe out to Pine Island to sun on the rocks. Easthampton was a short twenty minute drive away that provided access to groceries and restaurants. The cable TV made it on once during the stay for a quick HGTV fix for mom and daughters. A full kitchen made the homemade breakfasts easy to prepare. Nancy was a delight to work with and the whole process of reserving the house was uncomplicated. We definitely are looking to return.
This was our second year staying in this home for the Memorial Day Holiday weekend. Our teenagers enjoyed it so much last year, that they requested to rent again this year. We had a fabulous time enjoying the kayaks, and the paddle boat, and just relaxing by the water. We are early risers, and the lake is serene at 530 AM. The views from the windows are spectacular, and on a cloudless night, there are many stars visible. The amenities are first class, I don't think there was anything that we needed that wasn't already in the home. I would recommend renting this property again- teenagers are already asking for another weekend! There was an arts festival in Northampton the same weekend with lots to see and do as well.
Beautiful house right on the water. Nancy was phenomenal and was extremely helpful and responsive with our questions. Would definitely stay here again!
Thank you so much for sharing your lake home with us. It was the perfect relaxing weekend with friends. Your home is very well taken care of and clean. Thank you!
My wife and I stayed here for a week for a sort of late honeymoon. The house is clean, has a great view of the (very quiet) lake, and has just about everything you would need for your stay. Nancy the owner is very nice and accommodating and left plenty of information about the area.
There's lots to see and do in neighboring towns if you don't mind taking a little drive (check out the Bridge of Flowers in Shelburne Falls, and Northampton is a nice town to explore). The night sky is also incredibly clear, I don't think I've ever seen so many stars before! It's definitely a quiet and relaxing place.
