Right in the heart of Kailua-Kona on the Big Island, there are NO STAIRS to access this unit and we have a keyless entry system so you don't have to worry about late arrival.
A beautiful ocean view from the lanai for sunset relaxing. Amenities include: a king bed, 2 twin beds (converted to a king by request), and a queen sofa sleeper. Fully appointed kitchen with dishwasher and an ice maker in the fridge. Large washer/dryer in unit. Ceiling fans in bedrooms and living room, with Air Conditioner (honestly you don't need it with ceiling fans and sliding glass doors to the lanai in every room).
Condo is beautifully decorated with print by artist Scott Westmoreland and other Hawaiian art. Includes cable TV (many HD channels), free wi-fi & free long distance to mainland/Canada. Beach towels, coolers and beach chairs for your convenience. Under ground parking that's accessible by elevator. Complex amenities include a completely remodeled pool, gazebo, a bbq area with many tables, and a reading room. One block from downtown Kona and walking distance to 10 restaurants. Also near three popular Kona beaches: Honl Beach, Magic Sands Beach & Kahalu'u Beach.

About Linda and Tom Dreher
We are two lovely people from So Cal who met in junior high, stayed friends through high school, and married 30 years later. We've dreamed of moving to Kona, and knew this was the place for us when we spent only 10 minutes at the DMV and got our Hawaii licences. Literally just 10 minutes! We love the island and the many things we have done and discovered in paradise. The day-by-day the dream of being full-time Kama'ainas became a reality in 2017. We purchased a few of properties in the Kona area over the years, and now we are permanent residents.

You will not find a more beautiful 2 bedroom condo in all of Kona. It's right off Ali'i Drive and steps away from 10 restaurants. You don't even need to rent a car if you don't want. Also, there's no stairs in or out of the unit. Great for Seniors or families with small children.
What makes this Condo unique
2 bedroom, 3 BATHS! Yes, three baths! Three people can take a shower at the same time. Where are you going to find that? Huge unit (1200 sq ft) easily sleeps the maximum capacity of 6 people (that's the max, house and HOA rules). King bed master, 2 twins that can be converted to a king on request in 2nd bedroom (for a small fee). Queen sofa sleeper. Electronic lock so you don't need a key to get into the unit, just type in the code. No stairs on and out of the unit. GREAT FOR SENIORS AND RUGRATS. 1/2 block from town, seriously... you can walk to 20 different restaurant and too many shops to count. Walk to Honl Beach and Kona Pier easily.

Kona Pacific A102 is exceptional!
The condo is one of the best I have stayed at in HI and I have been traveling to HI for 20 years. Linda and Tom's unit is beautifully decorated and very well equipped. They do not miss a detail. I haven't stayed at a rental property that thought of so many important and cost-saving supplies! The unit is in a perfect location as it is an end unit, so you can watch the sunset each evening, watch cruise ships arrive, watch the people run and cycle by, etc. The property is very nice with underground parking, a lovely pool and grill area. Linda and Tom provided us so many tips on places to eat, snorkel, tour, etc in Kona and all over the island. They were so helpful and responsive. I will recommend this unit to family and friends and hope to return someday! Aloha!

We love that you enjoyed sitting out on the lanai and taking in the beautiful view. We always like walking doen to town and going to one of the restaurants nearby. We enjoyed our stay at Kona Pacific very much, The condo was close to many things within walking distance was clean and had everything we needed even beach stuff we could use. The pool was relaxing and not busy at all. The complex was quiet and everyone was very friendly. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for 5 of us. This was the first time our adult children visited The Big Island and pretty sure they are excited to come back. We would rent this condo again. Linda was very pleasant and efficient in corresponding back to us. Thank You for sharing your home.
We are very happy you enjoyed your time at our condo. We love the pool area as well. Beautiful pool and nice and quiet. Love laying out in the sun in the afternoon and barbecue for dinner. The walk to town is so nice and close. Love all the restaurant choices nearby. I hope you used our washer/dryer in the unit if you needed it. We made sure to leave you washing pods for your convenience. If you return to the Big Island, please think of us. We look forward to having you back.
We have stayed in many different condo units in the Kona Pacific including Linda and Toms other condo but I think this is my favorite. It's on the main level so didn't have to deal with elevators. Thought the pool and road noise may be an issue but didn't hear either. Condo is close to restaurants, bars and shops. The condo was clean, well equipped with kitchen supplies. Lots of beach chairs, boogie boards etc. View of the ocean during the day and the Bay at night from the lanai was beautiful. We had one small issue one day and Tom had maintenance knocking on the door within ten minutes. Wonderful people to deal with. I would highly recommend this condo. I would most definitely stay here again. My only hope is that they aren't booked when I want it! Mahalo Linda and Tom!

It's a nice condo with lots of extras in a nice location.
The condo is "accessible " to a wheelchair if you were just visiting for an hour. The narrow hallways and 90 degree turns are difficult. The master bath does have a walk in shower, but none of the 3 bathrooms are wheelchair accessible. None of the bathrooms have grab bars anywhere. Nice as the condo is, it was a very difficult, uncomfortable, dangerous week for us
Thank you very much for your comments. We have had a number of guests with wheelchairs visit our condo and have not heard complaints in the past, but as this is a condo, and not a hotel, the wheelchair accessibility you were looking for would not be found in probably 100 percent of the vacation rentals found at Kona Pacific condos.
It is explained on our listing verbatim there are "no senior rails in bathrooms or showers." I am wondering why you did not notice this in the listing. Also, all the photos show all three bathrooms without senior railings.
We do understand that your husband is severely disabled, but we did offer exactly what was promised.
We never claimed to be ADA compliant. We are on the bottom floor, we have access to the elevator close to the unit, we have a double door entrance and a straight shot from the foyer to a full bathroom. The master bathroom does have a walk in shower. Our doors are all normal sized, as are the doors in every unit in Kona Pacific (and as you would find in most vacations rentals unless they claim to be ADA compliant).
It might benefit you in the future to ask "is your rental ADA complaint" before you look for another vacation rental. Or maybe, choose hotels with designated ADA compliant rooms when traveling. I think you would be much happier with your stay.
Central Location for a Perfect Vacation
We enjoyed our stay at Kona Pacific. The unit was spacious and clean (there were geckos that came and went, but this is Hawaii and our kids loved them). We loved having breakfast and coffee on the lanai overlooking the ocean; and, the lanai was a perfect setting to have a beer after a day in the sun. The beach gear in the closet was very convenient, and saved us a lot of money - we surely would have bought towels, snorkel masks, water shoes, and rented beach umbrellas otherwise.
The property itself was nice. We used the pool a few times, and it was clean and relaxing. We were able to walk to all of the shops and cafes in Kailua. The Royal Kona Resort is right across the street for a Mai Tai, or a view of the surf. Parking was convenient, and it was very easy to get to major highways. Would stay here again.
So happy to hear that your family enjoyed your vacation at our condo. We also love sitting on the lanai and viewing the ocean. The Royal Kona across the street has one of the best views on the island for a sunset dinner, and it's great fun listening to local artists or catching sports on their many TVs (hello football season!).
