4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths with hiking hills and small lakes (220 acres)
The ranch has been in the family since 1966, focussing on citrus. We grow some of the best oranges and grapefruit found anywhere. The ranch house was built in 1985 and recently renovated. Now we want to share this special place with others.
Steve purchased this Farmhouse in 1966
Why Steve chose Springville
Dad picked the most beautiful ranch with three small lakes for fishing and swimming, large hills for hiking, citrus groves and spectacular mountain views. This has now been passed down to us.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
Go on a day hike through the groves, hike the hills and swim across the lake while never leaving your property.

Outstanding views from every room!
We recently hosted a Christmas family reunion at this lovely property. When we sent out the invitation and details, and one family member's initial response was "Location?", we realized this particular detail would be under scrutiny (!)... so we were extremely pleased and relieved when we saw how beautiful the property was, and how perfectly the house would suit our needs. The views are amazing from all the rooms, the house is spacious and comfortably furnished, and perfect for a family get-together. It was well-equipped with kitchen tools, cookware, dishware, towels, blankets, etc... even shampoo/conditioner and body wash in the bathrooms (which is uncommon for a rental property). Everyone was able to do their own thing... go for a hike, play darts and pool, work on a jigsaw puzzle... no one missed the absence of TVs, and it was nice to "unplug" for a few days. There is no Verizon cell phone coverage in the area (AT&T phones worked fine), but if you have wifi calling on your phone, this shouldn't be a problem. (And yes, there is a land line.) We enjoyed some rain during our visit (which made it feel more like Christmas!), views of the snow-capped mountains, and lounging by a crackling fire in the beautiful stone fireplace. Some family members have rather discriminating tastes (!), and everyone was extremely happy in this lovely and comfy home. Thanks again to Steve and his family, for sharing their very special homestead with others... We made family memories which we'll never forget. :-)
Great stay, Loved the citrus
Thanks for hosting us. We enjoyed our stay.
Best family vacation
My niece and son literally yelled “best family vacation ever” while staying at the ranch. We had plans to visit Balch park but didn’t even get to it because the ranch house was so perfect. It was spacious enough for us (6adults and 5 kids ages 13,7,6,2, and1). Check in was very easy, Steve texted us the codes and we had no problems getting in. The ponds and rope swing were so much fun. We had to pry the kids away at the end of the day, they just loved swimming in the pond. Our 13 year old actually unplugged from his phone and was in the game room most of the time playing pool or darts. The horses were very friendly, we fed them carrots. Loved everything about our stay. I was worried when I read about the narrow road but that was no problem at all.
Excellent Family "home away from home"
We were in the local area for my sister's wedding and were looking for a home large enough to accomodate 12 of us. This home and property were perfect for our needs. The kids had a wonderful time at the pond, feeding the horses, playing in the game room and exploring through the citrus groves. The back deck was excellent for morning coffee and evening/late night drinks for the adults. The location was quiet but close to the wedding venue and Springville. We highly recommend!
Thank you Steve and John!
Great place had an extremely fun time an awesome experience!!! Love waking up to the beautiful views around the facility
Stunning views from every window. Awesome game room for the young adults, pool table, darts, fun!
We were a group of 10 in town for a wedding. The house is so large and comfortable. We really enjoyed the views from the deck. A few of us hiked around to get a better look at the ponds. Serene and secluded, yet 15 minutes to Porterville, and 2 minutes to Springville. We are just sad we were so busy and didn't have more down time at the house. Thanks Steve for great communication and an amazing "home away from home".
Ranch is 1/2 mile from the Springville Rodeo which is every April.
