I came up with me and my girlfriend and from the first phone call Tom was excellent from allowing us to check in a little early to letting us check out a few hours late, he was very responsive and accommodating. The house was blissful overlooking the lake and perfectly quaint. The Hopkins inn vineyard and the neighborhood was very warming and nice. We cannot wait to come back!!
Exactly as described, perfect views, peaceful!
NEW ENGLAND COTTAGE
Lovely cottage in a beautiful New England setting located with a view of the lake. Loved staying there and enjoyed the greenery and flowers of spring in New England.
Thank You, very much.
Anytime you need to get out of Fla. please think about us.
Tom is a very nice host. His house is great and very comfortable. Lovely place.
Thank the "French Gang" for the way they left the cottage. Really for six people the house was left in great shape! Also how you knocked out a 1000 piece puzzle in three days tells me you achieved your goal of a relaxing vacation. Please come back and see us again.
Perfect cottage on the lake
We really enjoyed our 4-day stay despite rain and fog at the beginning. We lit the electric fireplace and went next door to the Hopkins Inn for lunch. When we finished the bottle of wine we brought, we went across the street to the Hopkins winery and bought two more. When the sun came out we went to the lake and hiked for 3 hrs in the Macricostas Preserve, climbing a hill to view Lake Waramaug from the back side. We did some sightseeing around the county including the covered bridge. This is a beautiful area and we will return! Cottage had everything we needed including comfortable beds and two kinds of coffee maker. The chairs on the front porch were wonderful, bring binoculars so you can see the kestrels and the houses across the lake.
Thank You Very Much,
always great to hear what folks do in four days that I can't seem to accomplish in 10 yrs.
should have mentioned to you that field glasses are in the bookcase in main bedroom. They will be there for your return.
My husband and I wanted a quick getaway where our dogs could swim. Tom’s Bliss Cottage is exactly that...blissful. It was comfortable and clean. The wonderful muffins that greeted us was a nice touch. Tom stopped by to make sure everything was to our liking, and we enjoyed chatting with him. We had my in-laws and a few friends up for a visit to sit on the porch and have some wine and cheese while taking in the view. Hopefully the diners at the Hopkins Inn didn’t mind some singing with their dinner. We would definitely recommend Tom’s cottage if you are looking for a peaceful retreat. The private beach on the lake is a short drive or walk from the cottage.
