The moment you enter thru the luxurious front entry your cares will slip away. The serenity and lushness of your surroundings that you will see through the opening of the large glass expanding doors, to the large lanai right out to the 11th green are spellbinding!
You take a deep breath as you realize you will be in Paradise for the rest of your stay!
The main level which you entered in on features a gourmet kitchen with stainless steal Wolf appliances and sub-zero refridge, large kitchen island with bar seating for 3 and a connected dining area which seats 8. Living room provides a 70' flat screen and blu ray player hooked up to surround sound for better viewing pleasure. The main level lanai offers additional seating to watch the gorgeous Hawaiian sunsets and ocean views while you grill up some fresh catch of the day or some grass fed Big Island Steaks on the BBQ!
One bedroom is located on the main level which works well for those who don't handle stairs well and is right next to the upstairs bathroom with walk in shower. It has a king bed or we can convert to 2 twins when necessary and has a smaller flat screen TV.
Going downstairs, you arrive at the den/family room with a 55' flat screen and DVD player and Tempur-Pedic matress pad pullout sofa for additional guests. This room leads you to the backyard lanai area which has your private pool and spa.
There are 2 master bedrooms on this floor. First master has a king bed with matching end tables and dresser, high ceilings with bamboo, an in suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub, separate walk-in shower as well as separate toilet, dual sinks and large walk in closet. There is also a sliding door out to the backyard pool area.
2nd master also has king bed, 2matching nightstands, dresser, and its own private tropical lanai sitting area. Just right for the morning paper or that 1st cup of KONA Coffee! Adjoining full bathroom with tub/shower combo

The amenity center which is adjacent to this property is the Best in Mauna Lani! It has a large family pool and Jacuzzi, adult lap pool and a fabulous workout facility with everything you need including another Jacuzzi behind the gym for a little more privacy. This area has an extensive BBQ area and outdoor kitchen with plenty of seating. The 2 acres of lush and tropical grounds and have a magnificent view of the mountains! There is also a putting green on the property.

Take a stroll outside KaMilo Gates and you can walk to the Fairmont Orchid Hotel or the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel for lunch, dinner or sunset drinks. Both hotels also have excellent Spa's. Just a few minutes away, walking distance too, is the Mauna Lani Shops which have numerous restaurants like Ruth Chris and Tommy Bahamas and a local Foodland grocery store for all your needs.
For the golfers there are 2 championship courses on Mauna Lani.
Owners Beach which is a private beach for owners and guests of the resort is only a few minute drive from the unit. It is located in the Mauna Lani area and a key card is included in your stay for access to the beach. There you can rent paddleboards, snorkeling gear, take scuba lessons and so on. Great place to look for turtles too! Owners Beach restaurant provides food and drink at an additional cost.
Aloha! We are a family from Northern California. My husband and I went to the Big Island on our 1st anniversary and have been going back ever since! We have 2 grown children, 1 married and 1 in college. Our children have grown up visiting Hawaii several times every year and our daughters wedding was on the Big Island! Its in our blood!!

We chose Kamilo after owning and selling in other parts of Hawaii because it has everything we all wanted! My husband is an avid golfer and loves loves loves the Mauna Lani courses and I love love love the beach so with the owners beach so handy it was a win win! Kamilo also has the best amenity center and convenience to everything else you need. We actually never leave the Mauna Lani complex on some visits. We love to take morning walks along the beach and stop for coffee at the Mauna Lani coffee shop 'turtle café'.

We couldn't have enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home more! All the wonderful details added up to a perfect vacation celebrating a family member's 80th birthday. Vera was responsive and we appreciated her welcome basket on arrival. Highly recommend this rental!
Our family has been visiting the Big Island annually for over 15 years and we always stay on the Mauna Lani Resort because of its beautiful "private" beach, restaurants, spas, golf, and 5 star hotels on the property. There's even a supermarket with reasonable prices so you don't have to drive too far to pick up groceries. We usually stay at the Islands or the Point, but the KaMilo Property ID 606829 has been the best place we've ever experienced with its spaciousness, decor, amenities, and its own pool. The house was pristine and beautifully decorated/maintained without being stuffy. Everything is provided for cooking or for the pool/beach (e.g. beach towels, floaters, snorkeling gear, etc.). The added bonus was the superb community pools, both a large lap pool and free form pool, as well as a top of the line workout room with weights and cardio machines. This was within a quick walking distance to the house. The problem is that you never want to leave the house, it's that comfortable and gorgeous!
The other comment I wanted to make is that Vera Bruington, the owner, was extremely responsive and answered all of my questions with patience. Our overall experience was excellent and we wouldn't hesitate to book the house again in the future.
Great rental property! The home is well furnished and well equipped. The community pool was great for our kids, not to mention their private pool in the backyard. Access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club was fantastic....great place to catch a sunset! The workout facility fantastic. The nearby grocery was well stocked and the prices were surprisingly less than you'd expect.
I could continue to go on, but, all-in-all we were impressed and satisfied with our rental selection!!!
We had 3 adults and a 2.5 year old and this was a perfect house for a vacation. In a vacation house we look for a few things: enough bathrooms so everyone has privacy, a well equipped kitchen, a grill, multiple living spaces, a proper dining area, and adequate wifi for streaming video. This house had them all with the added bonus of a private pool and hot tub. The owners of this property have been very thoughtful in the "extras" they have provided such as beach and pool equipment (snorkel fins, goggles, pool floats, etc.), beach/pool towels, and a lovely book full of recommendations for things to do. In addition, the complex they are in has a fitness center and lap pool. Really, something for everyone when you aren't off exploring the island. The property manager and owner were super responsive. I highly recommend this property.
I did a lot of research ahead, and when I got there I looked around to confirm, and this house is tops. KaMilo is the nicest, and while the other nearby communities (as well as part of KaMilo), have common walls with other units, this is a free-standing house. Open expansive view looking over the fairway to the ocean. unbeatable. House is beautifully decorated. I brought my parents and my two kids. Parents had the upstairs room, as my mom has trouble with stairs (do note that there are stairs to the front door), and I and my two kids had downstairs to ourselves. Worked out so nicely.
We have been coming to the same conference on the island for the past decade or more and have stayed at various different condos all on the Mauna Lani property. This has been BY FAR the best of all of them. The place is open and airy when you want it to be with views of the ocean and overlooking the golf course. Coffee on the lanai in the morning is so peaceful. Adding the pool for cooling off and the fact that it is fully stocked with just about everything you could ever need, including a network printer so you can print your boarding passes for your return trip home, it's tough to beat! Wonderful and we hope to return over and and over and over again!
