Why Todd Blackburn chose Spencer
Our best friends discovered this community through their good friends. They loved the area so much, they purchased a home. They soon invited us to come visit them, we were immediately in love with the resort and the people that live there. All we talked about was it would be a dream come true if one day we could purchase a cabin of our own in this community. Then, we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to purchase the Star Gazer, we named it that because on a clear night, the stars are truly an amazing sight to see! We cannot visit as much as we like, so we are now offering our second home as a vacation rental. We hope you will choose our property as your rental choice and will enjoy Stargazer as much as we do. Thanks, Laura and Todd

Our Family Christmas was excellant there!
Mom's 81st birthday get away.
Breath taking view, peaceful. The property manager was very nice and great at communicating. The beds are comfortable which was a huge plus. We really enjoyed are stay.
We had a very relaxing visit & leave feeling refreshed. The home is beautiful, comfy & stocked better than any other rental that I’ve ever seen including our own rental that we had in Gatlinburg several years ago!
Siblings Get-together at Stargazer
We six meet annually; this year we chose Stargazer, based on its location, its having three bedrooms - each with bath and television - and golf on site.
There is no golf on site; it disappeared some number of years ago. The owner has now removed it from the Amenities, but the resort itself still advertises it on their signs upon entry. The golfers did play at the state park course (which is considerably farther than two miles away, but still an easy drive).
The dishwasher was unusable, repeating some reviews from March and August. The owner plans to replace it one of these days.
The guests before us left burned food in a pan in the oven, old now-mildewed coffee grounds in the coffee pot, and a full trash can. Housekeeping apparently missed these things but the owner, who responds very quickly to any communication, is sure they will not miss such messes again.
The beds are very comfortable, bathrooms very clean. For reading, extra lamps by beds and chairs would be a nice plus.
This is a lovely home, quiet, with a pretty view of gently rolling hills and grazing horses (who are boarders, not for horseback riding). We did not use the pool, but it looked very inviting.
We all enjoyed our stay.
This house was beautiful! We loved the gated community and met many of the neighbors who were so nice! My kids loved going over to the field and letting the horses. Very close to Fall creek Falls. Great place!
Overall great experience. House was spacious and had everything we needed. It was easy to get to and close to Fall Creek Falls State Park. There were quite a few lightbulbs that needed replacing and possibly a couple more pillows. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!
This cabin is situated on the scenic Cumberland Plateau, 2 miles from the entrance to Fall Creek Falls National Park. The park not only has the falls , it now has Zip line and hiking adventures which are new this year. This area is also surrounded by water, like Caney Creek river with a boat ramp approximately 10 miles from the cabin. Fall Creek falls also has a beautiful 18 hole golf course. Pikeville is the nearest town, which has several restaurants including a McDonalds, BarBque, and diners.
