After a 1-year top-to-bottom renovation completed in July 2014, the Seward Square Rowhouse offers everything on your list of must-haves: historic charm, modern comfort & amenities, and most of all an extremely convenient location. Only 3 blocks from the US Capitol and the east side of the National Mall, Seward Square provides the ideal launching pad to see Washington DC!

One of four units in the Seward Square Rowhouse, Unit 4 is located on the garden level and comfortably sleeps 6 adults with 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. Professionally furnished by interior designers, the unit features a fully equipped kitchen with custom cabinets, carrera marble countertops and top of the line KitchenAid stainless steel appliances, and spa-like bathrooms that showcase glass showers and custom tile work. A washer & dryer and 60' LED HDTV with cable and high-speed wireless internet complete the interior living space, while a covered flagstone patio off the master bedroom provides a much coveted outdoor living space and more room for entertaining.

Located in the center of historic Capitol Hill, the Seward Square Rowhouse is within walking distance of everything you need and want to see. Nestled within a cozy neighborhood and yet only 3 blocks from the Capitol, 2 blocks from Eastern Market and metro, and 1 block from a multitude of restaurants, bars, coffee-houses and shopping along Pennsylvania Avenue, everything DC has to offer will be at your doorstep!

PARKING: On-street parking requires a zoned parking permit, which is provided free of charge for guests to park one vehicle during their stay. Parking for additional vehicles is available less than 2 blocks away at a 24-hour access surface lot for $15 per day.

Historic Capitol Hill is truly a downtown suburb that offers all the excitement of the city yet retains a safe and small neighborhood feel. The residents here are a tight-knit group comprised mostly of families who possess a strong sense of community. Nestled within the long rows of neighborhood homes you will find pockets of excitement ranging from a multitude of eating establishments to DC's only remaining original public produce market, known as Eastern Market. And of course it's extremely close proximity to the Capitol and various Smithsonian museums puts you literally at the doorstep of our nation's history. It is an absolutely wonderful location for both residents and visitors alike!

What makes this townhome unique

No expense was spared in the complete refurbishment of this house. You will be staying in a historic home complete with modern amenities--1880's on the outside and 2010's on the inside! Location-wise everything you need (restaurants, groceries, shopping, Metro) and everything you want to see (Capitol, Library of Congress, National Mall, Eastern Market, Barracks Row, Smithsonian museums) are just a few blocks away and within easy walking distance. Live amongst the locals and truly feel at home during your visit!

Place was just as shown in the pictures. Clean & roomy. Excellent location to see all the DC sites. Great for bus routes also. Would recommend to anyone & would stay there again.

Great Location!

We loved our stay in your apartment on our trip to visit DC. The check-in/out process was very simple and worked smoothly and we had no issues. It was within walking distance to all the sites and several restaurants, convenience stores, ATM, liquor store and Metro station. Very well maintained and had everything we needed. You can easily hear the upstairs tenants, but that is expected in an older building, and was not ever an issue for us. Thanks again for sharing your home with us.

Great Location near Capitol Hill, Great apartment looks exactly like the pictures!

Everything about the apartment was as I expected from looking at the pictures and reading the property description - with one exception. The outdoor patio area. This should not be a consideration when renting this apartment as it is essentially not useable. It is very dark and dingy and filled with spider webs. The weather during our stay was beautiful and we would have liked to have had an area to be able to sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine. There is a park with benches across the street but it clearly states no alcohol is permitted. Since this apartment is partially underground, it is dark and even during bright daylight you need to have lights on inside, thus the desire to sit outside. With all that being said, it is nicely appointed and looks pretty much exactly as the pictures show it. We didn't prepare any food while we were there, we just had snacks and beverages, but the kitchen is decently appointed if you wanted to prepare food. We relied on the restaurants within a 1-2 block radius of the apartment and those did not let us down. The Tune In is a Guy Fietti Diners Drive Inn and Dive place which had decent sandwiches. We The Pizza is fantastic as was the Good Stuff Eatery for Burgers. There is a Mexican place one block up towards the capital, I can't remember the name, but their food was very good also. The Hawke & Dove is on the higher priced side but food was delicious as well. All in all, this apartment served us well. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a place to stay in the Capitol Hill area.

Perfect location and a beautiful property!!!

The accommodations' were exceptional, beautifully remodeled, great space, comfortable beds and bathrooms! Better than the property was the absolutely perfect location from the DC tourist locations! One cannot get much closer to everything in Washington. Everything was better than expected from the photographs. The added convenience of having a parking pass made our trip so much better, it would have been nearly impossible to find alternative parking during our stay. Walking distance to tons of restaurants and grocery shopping (longer walk, but far less than any DC monuments). I look forward to booking this place again on my next trip!

Excellent accommodations

The apartment was all we could hope for: clean, comfortable, wonderful location. In addition, the owner, David, was very responsive to our requests for information and assistance. Should we find ourselves in the D.C. area, my wife and I would stay there again.

Enjoyed our Stay

The description of the property was accurate. Very nice, up-to-date and comfortable. It was a rainy weekend when we visited, consequently, it was even MORE important to have great digs! However, when we did go out, we enjoyed how conveniently located the property was to the Capitol, Library of Congress and other sites. We even walked to the White House from Seward Square. I liked the neighborhood. The restaurants and shops were not touristy. A plus. Thanks for a nice stay.
