On the tranquil undiscovered north shore of Pine Island lies a tropical paradise. Overlooking magnificent Charlotte Harbor, amid palm trees, sea oats, and mangroves are two adjoining vacation homes built in the "Old Florida" style architecture.
Bocilla Point is the perfect setting for those who treasure peace, beauty, and the magnificence of nature. Mornings bring the sounds of sea birds and the enjoyment of watching dolphins frolic in the calm shallow waters just beyond your own private beach. Soft offshore breezes refresh the balmy afternoons. At days end, enjoy the soothing sound of waves and painted skies as the sun sets in the west.
Bocilla Point is a stilt duplex home with both units containing three bedrooms (master:1 king; guestrooms: 1 queen and 2 twins) and two baths. The large kitchen, living area, and master bedroom provide spectacular water views. Perfect for family reunions and corporate retreats. If you are in search of an undiscovered tropical paradise in Florida - Bocilla Point is for you!
My family, including a 2 yr old and a 9 yr old had a great time! Such a lovely, clean house with incredible views. You needn't bring a thing besides a bathing suit and sunglasses! All the amenities you could need from bikes and yaks to beach toys and life jackets! We kayak fished all week (we brought two of our own but found that next time there will be no need). We had great fishing around the docks and on Jug Creek. Lots of snapper, sea trout, snook (was out of season though) and redfish. Had a shark, some dolphins and manatees right next to me in the kayak. We took day trips to Cayo Costa, Captiva and Sanibel (Ding Darling - great fishing there as well with all the above species and a sheeps head!) We will be back for sure!! Just such a great place to kickback and chill!
I have stayed at the finest tropical resorts around the world. Nothing can beat the view and the peace and quiet of this location. There's no hotels near this area so there's no traffic. Great Marina good restaurants fabulous fishing. I have sent my clients hear and they love it and continue to come back every year. Well worth a try.
I can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review. This home is like our second home. We stay here every Christmas, so don't get any ideas of renting it at Christmas : ) Our family has been coming here for about 7 years and it's like your own tropical hideaway. The house is wonderful and there is a view from every window. If it's a rainy day, you can sit inside and look out the window and feel as happy as can be. The pool, private beach and shallow water in front are perfect for any age and so relaxing. We almost never leave the house except to go to the Lazy Flamingo which is our favorite restuarant on the planet or down the street to Cap'n Cons to pick up a peice of their amazing pie for dessert. You can't beat this place for beauty, wildlife and privacy. If you want to feel like you are on a tropical island but don't want to leave the US, this is the place for you.
