Villa Romantique is a stunning and very spacious stone-built villa with a magnificent Roman arena-style colonnaded circular swimming pool, superbly located on a hilltop, giving you the most wonderful panoramic views. It basks in the sunshine and the very special light of this Provence/Languedoc region. As perfect for 2 as it is for 12 with substantial discounts for lower occupancy.

You are centrally located in the circle created by beautiful Avignon, St Remy de Provence, Arles, Nimes and the Pont du Gard, and conveniently no more than 12 miles (20 kms) from each, yet only about 45 minutes drive to the Mediterranean.

Villa Romantique was built around an old circular stone tower with windows certainly dating from 1820.

It has been renovated with immense style to provide very appealing, elegant and spacious accommodation combining old style charm and original Provencal features.

Villa Romantique is just 1 mile (1.5 km) out of the historic medieval town of Beaucaire, with its imposing 12th century ruined castle perched high on a rock overlooking the majestic river Rhône and its equally lovely neighbour Tarascon on the opposite bank . There is a delightful river marina crammed with colourful boats of all shapes and sizes which is bordered with restaurants and bars full of character. Alongside the marina the square is shaded by the typical spreading plane trees (platanes) so loved in village and town squares throughout this region.

Beaucaire was such an important market place in France throughout the Middle Ages that prices struck here for commodities such as wine, cheese, fruit, meat, metals, timber, leather,silk, pots and pans became the norm throughout France. Its Medieval Fairs attracted buyers and sellers from all over Europe and Asia and there are countless ancient buildings which bear witness to Beaucaire's great past.

The weekly price is REDUCED by £100 for EACH person LESS than the maximum number of 12
For instance, the weekly price for 8 people occupying the villa (i.e. 4 people less than 12) is £400 per week less than if 12 people are occupying. For (say) 5 people occupying it ( i.e 7people less than the normal 12) it is £700 per week less than the normal price

Booking is simple. Please go to my own website www.villaromantique.co.uk click on the oblong blue 'Booking Form' button, print off 4 pages. A 30% deposit is due when booking. The balance is due 2 months before arrival. The security deposit only becomes due once the villa keys have been sent to you Payments can be made by cheque in £sterling, by bank transfer, or by credit or debit card.
