It is a traditional Portuguese House from the year 1911. Authentic details are everywhere. One vila has an old-fashioned well and the other vila a traditional oven. It is a unique location to relax, be away from it all and, if necessary, yet very close to the city, shopping centre, café, restaurants and the beach. The views of Casa da Aldeia are amazing. All buildings are painted in the original colors, blue and white, all together a beautiful, colorful picture.

After a long (much delayed and tiring 24 hour flight) from JFK through Dublin,, we rented a car and found our way up to Casa Aldeia! It was like entering paradise! Bright and luminous in the late afternoon sun, with the white stucco walls and the bright flowers everywhere! We tried out everything... the pool, sunning on the rooftop terrace with a view of Faro and the sea in the distance, a beautiful morning breakfast served on the outdoor garden table... The hosts were so friendly and helpful about tips for places to go in the Algarve. This is a place to truly savor... not "just a place to stay" So much detail... a little work of art that the owners put their heart into. My husband and I have owned a B&B in Austin Texas for 22 years, so we take our time on the internet choosing a place. It was a glorious surprise! Cata & Doug
