Marianne Felsenburg purchased this apartment in 2015
We like to provide that "little extra" that makes your stay perfect and makes this rental different from others.
Little extras as candles, flowers, bathrobes, slippers, extra pillows and different basic products in the kitchen.
paper towels, facial tissue and toilet paper, soap etc. is of course also provided.
We bought this apartment because this part of Montmartre is phenomenal if you ask us ;-)
Location, location, location ;-)
My husband, daughter, and I stayed in this wonderful apartment for four nights, and absolutely hit the jackpot. Marianne was a fantastic host, and so accommodating - even picking us from the airport!
These are the things we look for in a vacation rental:
1. Ease of booking. Marianne always responded to my emails quickly and efficiently, so I felt very confident throughout the booking process.
2. Location. I cannot express how perfect this neighborhood is. I know there are many cool and hip areas in Paris, but this one has is all; the greatest restaurants, shopping, and bistros, but not all the swarms of tourists. And on that note, this apartment is right above the most wonderful Italian restaurant. We ended up dining there four times, became friendly with the staff, and yes - feeling just like a local...
3. Decor. Absolutely perfectly decorated, spotless, and chic. There is a washing machine and dishwasher, beautiful dishes and utensils, wine glasses, fine linens, etc.
While there is no car traffic on the road, it is a lively street. The modern double paned windows shut out any noise, so you'll be in a calm oasis.
I highly recommend this apartment to anyone who wants an authentic Parisian experience. We can't wait to come back next year!
This apartment is just as cute as it seems from the pictures. Very well equipped. Clean. Nice design. Relatively quiet for Parisian standards. Great location. Very accommodating and responsive owner. Highly recommended.
I stayed in this lovely apt for a week. Springtime in Paris is lovely, but the hordes of tourists near the Left Bank were overwhelming. It was great to have a clean, quiet, comfortable space to retreat to. The neighborhood is quiet and charming, with so many restaurants and food choices. I ate a Le Chinon, on the corner, 5 times during my 8 days there. The apt has a very comfortable bed, full kitchen that I enjoyed, nice bathroom, and enough storage space to avoid feeling cramped. The hallway always smelled of shrimp scampi (from the restaurant below), but once you walk into the apt, the noise and smells and crowds of Paris disappear. A friend spent the weekend with me, and said that the sofabed was surprisingly comfy.
We had a little plumbing issue on the first night, and Marianne was there within 45 minutes, tool box in hand, to crawl around under the sink and fix it. She is a very nice lady who was very helpful, both before and during the trip. The staircase to the 1st floor walk-up is a bit small and windy, so might not be ideal for everyone- but I loved how typically "French" it felt. I hope to stay in this apt again whenever I return to Paris.
I spent several days in this apartment during my visit to Paris in October 2015.
A perfect combination of old Paris charm and all modern conveniences in a beautifully remodeled and fully equipped super clean studio, located on a narrow street with little car traffic in Paris’ most desirable Montmartre neighborhood. Nicely furnished with most comfortable bed and the crisp clean 100% cotton bed linens were much appreciated.
Though the place has a fully functional kitchen (including dishwasher) and a nice eating area, we rarely ate in the apartment, as many excellent restaurants are as close as a few yards away. Had most delicious dinner at the Italian restaurant directly across the street.
The owners, Marianne and Philippe were the most friendly and helpful hosts from pickup at CDG and throughout my stay. They were always available via phone/text/email and responded promptly to all my enquiries. Both speak English very well, we had no problem communicating.
Would recommend for friends and hopefully will be back for another stay soon.
An absolutely lovely apartment! Beautifully decorated with a mix of new furniture/appliances and antiques. Marianne has thought of everything one might need, right down to cloth napkins and plastics cups for a picnic. Her kitchen is very well stocked and organized. Communication was very easy and she was ready to help with anything I needed.
The only problem, as with so many other apartments, is the noise. While the Windows block out much of the street noise from the neighboring restaurants, you hear the sound of the other tenants' doors slamming shut, along with the restaurant dumping their glass into the recycling bin (which shares the courtyard with the apt.). If you are a light sleeper, you may want earplugs (and an eye as the shutters don't completely block the light).
There are two metro stations just a couple of minutes away (there is an elevator at the abbesses station to avoid all the stairs).
A couple of tips--make sure you try unlocking the door while Marianne is still there as it's a little sticky. Also, the light for the upstairs hallway is to the right of the neighbor's door ( looks like a doorbell). From downstairs, there is one light upon entering the building and another one before you go upstairs.
We had a very nice meal at "le restaurant" just down the street ( try the French onion soup). There is also a Vietnamese restaurant on rue veron that does take out. Le grenier a pain on rue abbesses is a nice bakery. There is a medium sized grocery store (GR 20) on rue lepic. Just walk around and you will find food everywhere.
If you want to walk up towards sacre coeur without all the people, try
Also, discover walks do free (tip based) walking tours of Montmartre along with other areas. All the guides are Parisian.
I hope you enjoy your time in Paris
The apartment is right in the heart of Montmartre, just around the corner from the famous rue des Abbesses. It is located on a very quiet small one-way street.
Montmartre is like a village in Paris. This is where the locals work and live.

Montmartre is where picture musicians, artists and painters as Edith Piaf, Picasso, Thoulouse Lautrec lived.
Here you can really live as a local, you have the all the food shops you can dream of right on rue des Abesses liksom cafes, brasseries and restaurants of all kinds.
Within less than 2 min. walk you having access two two Metro lines.
Metro "Blanche" Line 2 and Metro "Abesses" line 12, so it is very easy and fast to get to Any area in Paris.
