About the property

Old mill in a quiet wood

Among large rural expanses, 3h a forest houses a mill dating back to 1830. To enter, take the wooden bridge or the aisle strewn with wildflowers. The lounge provides a total immersion in nature while enjoying the comforts inside sitting on the couch, watch through the large windows of the oak trees and dark, look up at the starry sky visible through the large skylight ceiling. For entertainment many books are made available in the office area of the library, which also has a powerful Mac for future research. The dining room is a very pleasant place to live, which owns pictorial works: the contemplating, let you embark on a couple tango dancer with blue tones, traveling on the Lake Lull Burma with two fishermen , you gather near glimmers of Bouques church or let your imagination vagabondée on more abstract paintings.

Juxtaposed to this atypical room, the kitchen floral faience is equipped with a wood stove, gauze and vitro ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave. Once again, the large windows allow you to see many birds in your culinary work.

To rejuvenate, each room has its own uniqueness. A wooden staircase takes you suspended in the first, located in the main tower. This piece, all curvy; a view of the structure, has a shower and a bathroom.

The second bedroom, decorated in warm colors, will satisfy nature lovers with its large picture window on the Normandy countryside.

The last contains several beds and a bath with a view of the woods.

It offers many opportunities for walking you sometimes leading to a lake where a boat awaits, sometimes with horses. On your way stop at the vegetable garden, make a jump in the heated pool, then relax in the sauna, which will give you a clean serenity instead of the same mill.

Peace and tranquility

  • 5 of 5

A really quiet and relaxing location. No noise and the complete way to unwind from the hustle and bustle of every day life.

We are a family of 5 the pool and the sauna were great. The house has everything needed so you don't need to travel far.

Jacqueline is lovely and was available for any queries you may have.

Not a lot to do if you want to explore but the chocolate factory tour in in Danville is worth a trip.

Away from it all

  • 3 of 5

Charming rustic mill conversion tucked away in a shaded area between the fields. A very country house feel with lots of wildlife. We were unlucky with the weather so couldn't enjoy the pool area much, but be prepared to start a wood fire for the sauna, we needed a lesson from Jacqueline as it is not so easy for beginners! Instead we travelled to Versailles, Paris, Conches, etc Local La Neuve-Lyre boulangerie is lovely, the butcher's ham was fresh and tasty and the local mini market was useful for milk! Please beware that as this is not Paris the local shops, restaurants and tourist attractions have their own opening hours - so make sure you check those in advance.

Very lovely place!

  • 5 of 5

With my wife and three children I stayed here for one week. We enjoyed it very much and loved everything. The children were pleased with the heated pool and found the place to be 'huge' on the outside and the inside was very comfortable for them. The owls were a topic they mentioned many times during our stay and on the second day we were even pleased to see a little deer in front of the window.

My wife and I shared their opinion.

We also liked the total privacy it provided and the freedom to wander/linger around. Maybe one time we could have a please like this for ourself.

With good fortune on our side maybe next year another week at this place....who knows....

Un havre de paix en pleine nature

  • 5 of 5

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful setting, wonderful holiday!

  • 5 of 5

We had the most wonderful week at the Moulin. The house is full of charm and perfectly equipped for a family. The outdoor space is absolutely amazing and we all very much enjoyed the heated swimming pool- no nasty chemicals to treat the water, Jacqueline and Jean Christophe use only natural products and processes throughout the place.

The area is very nice as well, with plenty of interesting places to visit and lovely markets of fresh fruit and vegetables.

The owners were lovely and welcoming and only a phone call away if we ever needed anything.

I would definitely recommend this house to anyone.

We are hoping to go back next summer!
