This 2 bedroom, 1 Bath home has amazing views from every window. Enjoy the beautiful panoramic views and awesome sunrise from the large screened porch and sun deck, located just footsteps away from the Rehoboth Bay.
If you're tired of sunning yourself on the deck, unwind at our small private beach, or crabbing pier. You can refresh and wash up before dinner in our spacious outdoor shower, with included changing area built in. Ample free parking in the private gated driveway allows you to host the dinner party on the water that you've always wanted to have.
Need a little more fun? Old Landing Golf Course is less than a mile away! Forgot something? WalMart and Atlantic Liquors are only 3 miles away. Want to hit the beach? A short 6 mile drive will get you to the Atlantic Ocean and Rehoboth Beach. Is nightlife more your thing? We're located only a short 7 mile drive to Dewey Beach.
Better yet, beat the traffic and rent a boat. We're only 2.5 miles directly across the Rehoboth Bay from the docks at the Rusty Rudder!
The view is unbeatable and Julie was extremely responsive. The house was clean and exactly as advertised. One note that you may find helpful, is that there is a big table on the covered/inside deck that seats 8 people that was not pictured when we looked at the pictures of the house. This got a lot of use. We also ate crabs from the dock a few nights. Next year I will try to remember my wellies since depending on the time of day the crab retrieval can be wet and mucky. The only recommendation that I have would be to provide a baking dish or two. Luckily we had friends nearby so we borrowed theirs. Our party was all adults with a dog and the adults and dog had an equally terrific time. We hope to make it back next year!
The view was great looking out over the bay. My wife and I ate breakfast on the large private deck and even did yoga while the sun rose. We crabbed off the dock and had crabs for dinner one night and took our kayaks out on the bay. The long driveway and adjacent park was great for walking our dog (and he loved chasing all the rabbits). The house was clean with all the amenities we needed and close to the beach, restaurants, golf course and other activities.
Wonderful clean cottage. Gate entry with code you feel protected. Very close to outlets restaurants beaches. We went to ocean city maryland was only a fourty minute ride. Saw sunrise every morning. Small beach and dock tooo wet and marshy to enjoy. Lots of birds to see. Grocery stores nearby. All within fifteen minutes. Thank you for a wonderful week. My small havachon dog enjoyed it also.
I was there in the beginning of July - no flies or mosquitos, tons of blue crabs (if you like crabbing), beautiful view from the deck on the Delaware Bay. Literally everything is included, just bring your food. Look like all the rooms were renovated recently, they are clean and nice. Furniture too. It's very secluded!! All the sunsets and sunrises there are only for you. You live there like on one of those small islands in Maine, but in 15 minutes you could be on Rehoboth Beach boardwalk. I would definitely stay there again.
If you love the water, dislike crowds and want a romantic, peaceful getaway, this is the place for you. Each day we made breakfast for two in the fully equipped kitchen, spent a short time sunning on the open porch, and savored the water view for hours on the screened in porch listening to and watching the many different kinds of birds. Grocery and liquor stores are very close by. In the evenings, we enjoyed dining out at Dos Locos (twice!), Mariachi Restaurant, Fins Ale House & Raw Bar, Hooked Seafood & Martini Bar, and Big Fish Grill (all within a few miles). Dinner at restaurants near the boardwalk were followed by leisurely strolls along the ocean. In the late evenings, we watched the sunset, lit the tiki torches, made jalapeño margaritas, listened to the sounds of the choppy water and watched as hundreds of fireflies lit up the tall grasses that surround the cottage.
A couple of things to plan for (the only reasons for 4 vs 5 star rating)…. The small private beach and fishing dock are not accessible due to swampy conditions. Not a big deal to us but might be for some. The gas grill didn’t want to ignite - but we didn’t try very hard either since we mostly ventured out for dinner. And although the kitchen is nicely equipped, if you want to make cocktails bring your own shaker. Overall, a very positive experience. The place is clean, nicely maintained and easy to check in and out of. Feels much more homey than a hotel! We would definitely go back!
This secluded cottage is a hidden jem. We spent hours sitting on the sundeck & screened-in porch. It was so peaceful - listening to the sounds of the bay & enjoying beautiful scenery. My dog was entertained by all the wildlife - especially the "resident" crane & deer that appeared every night. We crabbed off the private pier & prepared a seafood night in the open kitchen - which allowed for everyone to participate in preparation. This home is well kept and the owner is extremely attentive. We will be back!!
