About Debbie

We use Sunny South as our home when we are in England visiting our family. We have lived in the area always and our family went to school in Wareham so we know it he area very well . We are enjoying our retirement in Portugal , but have a very good friend looking after Sunny South . We do come to the house often so like to keep it in first class condition,It is in a great place to enjoy the area, so convenient if if you do not drive or have a car.

Debbie purchased this house in 1999

Why Debbie chose Wareham

Wareham is a lovely old market town on the river.

You can walk the tow path, hire a motor boat or a row boat. Also many fisher men can be found on the banks and ducks are always ready for feeding. The house is so easy for touring and enjoys all the attractions Dorset has to offer. mOnkey world ,Bovington Tank Museum ,Corfe Castle. Swanage Steam Train, so many things to enjoy as a couple or with children.

What makes this house unique

It is ver level to walk anywhere. Great for all public transport and wonderful for walking to pubs and restaurants .Modern fresh and homely

A lovely modern clean house

  • 4 of 5

We liked the house, it was very clean and included everything that was needed. One of the best we have stayed in for holidays. The double beds were comfortable, single ones were ok. I would have liked a wardrobe in the single bedroom or at least a hook on the back of the door. There is a paved garden with table and chairs and umbrella for sunny days and solar lights at night. It would have been even nicer with a few plants around, as it did look a little odd with none. Nice view of horses and golf course from the front bedroom. Despite a lot of houses around us it was very quiet all the time. The Wi-fi worked well no problems with it. I would recommend the house for a comfortable stay, there was plenty of room for all 4 of us. The forest is nearby and great for mountain biking and walking. The walk into Wareham town is about 15 minutes where there is a Sainsburys and Co-op and a few Pubs, all serve food. There is a very nice area down by the River where you can hire a boat if you wish. Monkey World is about 10 Minutes away and also The Tank Museum, both recommended for adults and kids. Corfe Castle is quite near as well. Corfe Castle is quite expensive to go in, so we made use of the Model Village instead! A very nice stay in a comfortable house, only problem the weather!

Awesome home and location.

  • 5 of 5

Debbie was a great host. Her home is very well appointed and very conveniently located in Wareham and not far from Poole and Bournemouth. We had a great time in the area and the fact that the home was so comfortable certainly contributed to our wonderful holiday.

Lovely house in a good location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this Wareham property for a week over the Easter holidays, a family of 4, with our two university aged children.

We found the house to be very modern, clean and tidy with everything we needed for a comfortable holiday. The bedrooms are all very spacious with linen and towels provided, the kitchen is well equipped and has a dishwasher and there are even two sofas with reclining seats!

The Wareham area is great for exploring with our favourites being Durdle Door, Studland Bay and Arne. We took our bicycles and as the Wareham district is fairly flat, cycled from the house on a few days. The forest entrance is opposite the house and is good for dog walking and mountain biking. We even hired kayaks on the river at Wareham Quay, great fun!

Debbie was very efficient with the booking and she answered any queries very promptly. We met the housekeeper, Maria, who was lovely and made sure we had no problems during our stay.

We had a great time and would love to stay here again.
