Fab cottage and brilliant customer service!

  • 5 of 5

A wonderful baby friendly cottage set within walking distance of all the main attractions of Christchurch and the surrounding area. We were thrilled with the cleanliness and homely feel of the cottage and it was perfect for our little 1 year old as everything was to hand for us...not to mention all of the toys she got to play with! The owner provided excellent customer service to us following check out as we had left a very precious teddy bear behind and they kindly arranged prompt postage of him back to our home address. One very happy girl was reunited with Mr Ted! We have already recommended the cottage to friends! Great stay, thank you.

My family and I had such a wonderful stay in Palm Cottage.

  • 5 of 5

Our children absolutely loved the play area under the stairs and the beautiful play house at the bottom of the garden. And while our children were enjoying the toys, my husband and I were enjoying the luxury around us! Would definitely visit Palm Cottage again.

A real treat for a family holiday

This is an amazing little cottage in a quiet street with everything you need for a great holiday! We were particularly impressed with the facilities for small children and it meant a peaceful, safe and fun stay for all of us!

Walkable to Christchurch town with restaurants and the incredible harbour and priory, we'd love to come back in the summer to fully enjoy the garden and beaches :-)

This cottage was the perfect stay for our week away in Christchurch.

It was done out so lovely and felt very clean and homely. We have a 1 year old who loved the little play nook and the playhouse in the garden.

It was a really lovely stay and I would highly recommend.

Absolutely Stunning Cottage Tucked away in Dorset

  • 5 of 5

Hi Alexia,

Apologies for the delay in writing the review but here goes..........

This is the first time we have stayed in Dorset on a lovely week long break in the area. With that in mind we wanted to ensure that we got the correct place for us. This was the first self catering holiday we had ever been on as a couple as we normally stay in luxury hotels but we could not have been happier with our choice.

The owner Alexia could not have done more for us. Ensuring that we accessed the property with no issues and checked during our stay that all was ok, which was a lovely touch.

With regards the property the pictures still do not do it justice. From the moment you walk in it felt like a home from home which is what we were looking for. The property was immaculately clean, tidy and smelt great (and have since bought the same diffusers for our own house).

Everything required for the kitchen was there and easily accessible to allow for a perfect stay. The bedrooms were of a decent size and did not feel cramped, with really lovely mattresses. Bathroom is light and airy and of a decent size.

We do not have children yet but can easily see that there has been a lot of thought process into the design of the house to ensure that it is very child friendly. With little touches like the toys in the bathroom to amuse the children while bathing, which would not necessarily have been thought of by parents to bring on a self catering holiday.

The location was also great. Town easily accessible by a short walk to some very nice restaurants, tea shops etc. Close enough that a trip to Bournemouth, New Forest and Monkey World are all in a short drive away.

All in all a lovely stay and a shame we had to leave. We shall definitely be returning and advise others looking for a property to stay in Dorset to pick this one. You won't be disappointed and that's coming from two self confessed 'hotel snobs'. :)

Regards

Alex & Alex (Essex)

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for this glowing review Alex & Alex! We are so glad to hear you liked the cottage and everything the surrounding area has to offer. I also love the idea of having pleased two self confessed 'hotel snobs' (unknowingly the bar was set very high)! We very much tried to refurbish the cottage to high, luxurious standard, so glad we pulled it off. We'd love to host you both again soon! Safe travels & enjoy the holiday season, Alexia
