Overview

Waikoloa Village House Rental Photos and Description

Sunset views, private yard, quiet cul-de-sac and better than a condo complex!

This resort community is located on the west side of the Big Island, about 30 miles north of Kona. The island's best white sand beaches, championship golf courses and the Dolphin Quest at Hilton Waikoloa are only a short 10 minute drive away. Best of all, this house is very inexpensive compared to the resort hotels.

From our covered lanai you can watch the sunset over the Pacific or simply enjoy the Waikoloa breezes while relaxing or dinning outside. Speaking of dinning, you can cook to your heart's content in our fully equipped kitchen.

This finely furnished home includes a great room with a 65" flat screen TV. In addition there are 2 other flat screen TV's offering cable and high speed WiFi connectivity. The air conditioned house can accommodate up to 6 people with 1 California King bed, 2 Queen Beds and an occasional extra guest we also have a roll away twin bed.

In our backyard, you can relax in the spa while viewing magnificent sunsets or use the outdoor shower after laying out in the sun. For your beach excursions, we provide 6 Tommy Bahama beach chairs, snorkel gear, beach towels and a ice chest located in the garage. Need to do laundry? No problem because we have a fully equipped laundry room with large capacity washer and dryer. In addition, we have a iron, steamer, ironing board and detergent.

If golf is your game, you will enjoy the Waikoloa Village Golf Course at a reduced rate. Simply ask, our property manager for discount cards. For that matter, there are 5 other golf courses located within 20 minutes of the house. By the way, you are only 15 minutes from the best snorkeling and swimming beaches on the Big Island. On the other hand, if whale watching is your passion, their migration route is along the Kohala coast and viewing points or charter boats are easily accessible from Waikoloa Village. FYI; Whale migration is usually December thru April.

Beautiful views, comforts of home, and space to unwind

  • 5 of 5

We stayed as a family of five (couple, 2 small children and grandma) in this home. There were a lot of great things about this home and location. The view is amazing, and it's pretty close to a grocery store. Near the Saddle Road (for visiting hilo/volcanoes). Pretty close to your choice of kohala coast beaches (you're in the hills so you do need a car). Cookware, grind and brew coffee maker, grill, baby gear and beach chairs... invaluable additions to make vacation easy.

Amazing place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

Our whole family stayed at this wonderful house when we were in Hawaii. Our family loved how the house came with so many different amenities. We didn't have to worry about a single thing during our week long stay. We loved waking up to the stunning view from the backyard each morning! A couple of our friends who were staying at other VRBO homes were jealous when they saw the home we were staying in compared to theirs. Richard & Anne are amazing people & owners! They were always quick to answer all of our questions and gave us ideas on what to do. I highly recommend this house to anyone that is going to stay in the Waikoloa Village / Kona area.

Great house and location for a family on vacation

  • 5 of 5

We spent 2 weeks in this place over in December and enjoyed our stay immensely. The house was great for 3 grownups and two kids to spread out and all have our own spaces during our stay. It also is nicely set up for entertaining with a huge covered back patio space, a well equipped kitchen and a fantastic view down on the the Kohala coast. The hot tub was great in the morning and evenings and the outdoor shower prefect for rinsing the sand off after spending time and one of the many beaches within 15-30 minutes drive. With Hilo about an hour and 15 minutes away and Kona just under an hour, Waikloa village is nicely situated to take in much of the Big Island.

Perfectly peaceful vacation

  • 5 of 5

This house was in excellent condition and fully equipped for our stay. The owners of this vacation rental have obviously spent time thinking of all the small details needed for a trouble free vacation. We found everything we needed from towels and beach chairs, coolers and snorkel gear to cork screws and laundry soap. We really could have arrived with only our clothes and personal items and had a great vacation with all the conveniences of being at home. The neighborhood where this home is located was surprisingly peaceful and quiet. There was no noisy traffic, just birds chirping each morning. We spent each morning with a cup of coffee sitting in lounge chairs on the lanai with a fantastic panoramic view of the ocean and coastline. This home is just far enough up the side of the mountain to enjoy cool breezes each night and morning and have great ocean views. We also found Waikoloa Village to be a convenient location for all the places we wanted to drive to on our vacation. We are looking forward to our next stay at this house.

Exceptional Stay!

  • 5 of 5

This place is exceptional! My family and I vacation often on the Big Island as we're building our own place there. We have stayed at many rentals and this place is unquestionably the best. All amenities are provided and it's an easy short drive to grocery stores, gas stations, fine beaches, fine restaurants, etc. Even the obligatory "Costco run" in Kona is an easy drive. Going to all the typical "island adventure" activities, such as helicopter rides, snorkeling, horseback riding, observatory/stargazing, etc. are very convenient. The property is actually better in person than in the pictures.

Now the property itself: The sunsets are spectacular. From the lanai, enjoying the evening sea breezes and watching gorgeous sunsets are like heaven on earth! The house is fully air-conditioned but even during the hot days, you only need it briefly in the late afternoons. After the sun sets, the breezes and fans are fine.

There is a hot tub out back and the well-maintained gardens were a treat for our 6-year-old.

The property manager lives in Waimea and was very helpful and easily available.

Overall, I would give this place a solid 5-star rating.

Perfect vacation home

  • 5 of 5

The home is clean and well stocked with toiletries and laundry essentials. The views from the backyard were stunning. The grass was unbelievably soft and sponge-like making it safe for little ones to explore outside. The furniture was comfortable and in excellent condition. We enjoyed the hot tub and used the outdoor shower every time we came home from the beach. The beds were also incredibly comfortable and this vacation home is the most "true-to-picture" that we've ever stayed at. The neighborhood is quiet and it felt very secure and safe.

The on-site manager was helpful and responded to our concerns/questions in a timely manner. He even approved a later check out time because we were catching a red-eye flight and we had two sick toddlers in our party.

We highly recommend this property and we hope to return again soon!
