This resort community is located on the west side of the Big Island, about 30 miles north of Kona. The island's best white sand beaches, championship golf courses and the Dolphin Quest at Hilton Waikoloa are only a short 10 minute drive away. Best of all, this house is very inexpensive compared to the resort hotels.
From our covered lanai you can watch the sunset over the Pacific or simply enjoy the Waikoloa breezes while relaxing or dinning outside. Speaking of dinning, you can cook to your heart's content in our fully equipped kitchen.
This finely furnished home includes a great room with a 65" flat screen TV. In addition there are 2 other flat screen TV's offering cable and high speed WiFi connectivity. The air conditioned house can accommodate up to 6 people with 1 California King bed, 2 Queen Beds.
In our backyard, you can relax in the spa while viewing magnificent sunsets or use the outdoor shower after laying out in the sun. For your beach excursions, we provide 6 Tommy Bahama beach chairs, snorkel gear, beach towels and a ice chest located in the garage. Need to do laundry? No problem because we have a fully equipped laundry room with large capacity washer and dryer. In addition, we have a iron, steamer, ironing board and detergent.
If golf is your game, you will enjoy the Waikoloa Village Golf Course at a reduced rate. Simply ask, our property manager for discount cards. For that matter, there are 5 other golf courses located within 20 minutes of the house. By the way, you are only 15 minutes from the best snorkeling and swimming beaches on the Big Island. On the other hand, if whale watching is your passion, their migration route is along the Kohala coast and viewing points or charter boats are easily accessible from Waikoloa Village. FYI; Whale migration is usually December thru April.
Aloha !! Thanks for checking our listing and we know you won't be disappointed. Why? Because the Big Island has been our family's favorite vacation spot since 2000. If you haven't found out already, Waikoloa Village is a wonderful place that will leave you rested and relaxed. Mahalo for becoming our 'Vacation Family' or as they say in the Islands... our Ohana.
Richard & Anne Dunn purchased this house in 2006
We choose Waikoloa Village because it's away from crowds yet conveniently located to many of the island's attractions. The Waikoloa breezes and sunset views from our lanai provide the perfect place to relax as you end your day.
Located on the Kohala coast and close to many of the Hawaii's favorite attractions. Quiet and convenient while less expensive then resorts. Why settle for less when you can have more?
We really enjoyed our stay in this spacious, comfortable home overlooking the ocean.
Richard and Anne have done a fantastic job creating a home away from home! The views are impeccable and the neighborhood was quiet and quaint. My husband and I spent our days partaking in the extreme adventure Big Island has to offer. Returning "home" exhausted and sore every night, the Jacuzzi was just what we needed to help recover day after day. The extra amenities provided such as beach gear and a fully equipped kitchen saved us space packing and put them above any hotel rental. Mahalo for the hospitality!
Very good home. Lots of space. Everything is in order. Everything in home is easily accessible. Safe place. Lots of things to do nearby.
We stayed as a family of five (couple, 2 small children and grandma) in this home. There were a lot of great things about this home and location. The view is amazing, and it's pretty close to a grocery store. Near the Saddle Road (for visiting hilo/volcanoes). Pretty close to your choice of kohala coast beaches (you're in the hills so you do need a car). Cookware, grind and brew coffee maker, grill, baby gear and beach chairs... invaluable additions to make vacation easy.
Our whole family stayed at this wonderful house when we were in Hawaii. Our family loved how the house came with so many different amenities. We didn't have to worry about a single thing during our week long stay. We loved waking up to the stunning view from the backyard each morning! A couple of our friends who were staying at other VRBO homes were jealous when they saw the home we were staying in compared to theirs. Richard & Anne are amazing people & owners! They were always quick to answer all of our questions and gave us ideas on what to do. I highly recommend this house to anyone that is going to stay in the Waikoloa Village / Kona area.
We spent 2 weeks in this place over in December and enjoyed our stay immensely. The house was great for 3 grownups and two kids to spread out and all have our own spaces during our stay. It also is nicely set up for entertaining with a huge covered back patio space, a well equipped kitchen and a fantastic view down on the the Kohala coast. The hot tub was great in the morning and evenings and the outdoor shower prefect for rinsing the sand off after spending time and one of the many beaches within 15-30 minutes drive. With Hilo about an hour and 15 minutes away and Kona just under an hour, Waikloa village is nicely situated to take in much of the Big Island.
