About Geri McBride
I have lived in Nashville, TN for over 30 years and have always visited the Smokey Mountain Region from when I was a little girl in Kentucky. I loved going there, I can remember my Daddy taking the whole family there every year. I loved it so much, loved the special time with my Mama, Daddy and sisters and the picnics that we would experience at the picnic tables in the areas. Back then, the trash cans were open tops and we would frequently see lots of cars pulled off the road to check out the bears that were feeding out of the garbage cans. What fun and excitement! We would start out again and soon see more cars pulled off the road and we knew there were more bears, so we stopped again & again. Some of the best memories of my childhood was when Daddy would take the whole family to the Smoky Mountains every year for vacation. I would see the beautiful cabins and chalets and dream how wonderful it would be to actually live in one. I feel so very lucky to be able to own cabins in that area now and feel like there is no place in the world quite like the Great Smoky Mountains! I am living my dream!!!
Geri McBride purchased this Cabin in 2014
Why Geri McBride chose Pigeon Forge
I purchased this property in June of 2014. It was my second property in the area. I have another cabin called the Chocolate Moose, VRBO# 258012, that I have owned since 2007 & now another chalet named after my sweet little Shih Tzu, Dusty. It is called Dusty's TreeHouse VRBO #754962& is located close to Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort. I enjoy decorating all of them and making them comfortable home-away-from-home places for my guests. I also very much enjoy going there when I can. What makes this Cabin unique
I fell in love with the spectacular YEAR-AROUND panoramic mountain views that can be seen from the covered deck and inside from the floor-to-ceiling windows on 3 walls of the HUGE living/kitchen/dining open floor plan. It is an spacious open plan that makes visiting with family & friends a wonderful experience, as there are no obstructing walls when someone is preparing meals in the kitchen. The kitchen has very unique real stone counter-tops in the huge kitchen & both baths. The kitchen appliances are stainless steel. There are 3 flat screen tvs, NEW 32' in each bedroom & 42' in living area, 2 DVDs & pool table. The location of the 'Mystic View' is great, only a 5 minute drive to stop light #6 in Pigeon Forge on main paved roads. The driveway/parking area is also paved and can accommodate several vehicles of flat parking right at the door. The one-level-custom-designed-open-spacious-floor plan-log cabin is such a comfortable, relaxing place to rest & relax & watch the amazing sunsets. I think you are certain to love it as much as me & Dusty & Bruiser & Buddy love it!!

Overall a great property
We stayed for two nights. Geri was great and quick to respond with any questions. Our only complaint was that some of the cutlery was dirty in the drawers and that the cabin is right off one of the roads so there were loud cars theohhout the evening going up and down.
Overall the cabin was great. Comfortable beds and great views. We loved that there was a gate on the deck so we could let our kids play outside safely
You found some dirty cutlery in the drawers? Really? That has never happened before, not even at my house. Dang ole dishwashers, just can't depend on them for anything. Can you believe the housekeepers' incompetence of overlooking that! I will have to have a chat with them. On second thought, maybe not, as I realize they are not perfect, like all the rest of us & they have been incredibly busy busting their chops daily disinfecting per CDC guidelines to make my cabins safe from the virus for my guests.
WOW, loud noises? Let me think what that could be? Oh, now I remember, you checked in on the same day that the mountains re-opened from being closed for almost 2 months from COVID-19. Yes, there was bumper-to-bumper traffic in Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg the entire weekend, day & night. I seemed that everybody was hooping and hollowing with excitement over the re-opening of the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains. But, I am still confused just to how loud cars would have bothered you since my Mystic View sets way high above the ONLY road, NOT "right off one of the roads " as you said. It is located up a long driveway, setting high upon a ridge overlooking the mountains & high above the road & is actually right on a hair-pin-curve that would force cars to slow down or opps, right over the mountain they would go. Since owning the cabin in 2014, this would be my FIRST & ONLY complaint about loud cars.
I am so sorry that my beautiful cabin with its amazing spectacular mountain views wasn't perfect for you & I sure hope that you & your family find the perfect one for your next trip to the fabulous Smoky Mountains. But, I can say with all certainty that it will not be any of mine! My Mystic View is not perfect, It is ONLY JUST SIMPLY AWESOME!
The cabin and view were great! Geri was very helpful with any issues that came up.
Beautiful views and dog friendly
We enjoyed our time here and it was great to get away and have a new view during this crazy time!
What a great view!
This is a great place to get away from everyone and just look at the mountains. We stayed when all of the restaurants and hotels were closed. I wish I could tell you everything about the inside of the house, but we just could not leave the deck and the mountain views. Everything is very neat and clean. When I texted Geri some concerns, she immediately responded and corrected any and all issues. Very dog friendly house and deck. There is a nice grassy area to let your pups go without having to walk down the steep hill. We did see a few loose dogs walking around the outside of the house, but they were super friendly.
We had a wonderful time at the cabin. The views were magnificent!
