This very nicely furnished cottage sits high with majestic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the front porch as well as the back deck. The cottage has easy access to the New River Bike Trail. The trail is 57-miles long with spectacular scenery along the way. The trail follows the New River. A boat dock to the New River is a short distance from the cottage, leading directly into Claytor Lake. A very short walk from the cottage is a picturesque gazebo overlooking the village of Allisonia and the New River.
The cottage has two bedrooms each with a queen-size bed. The queen-size sleeper sofa and loveseat will easily accommodate three more guests. The kitchen is fully equipped.
Come and have a relaxing and wonderful vacation in this beautiful section of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia!
The owners are very organized and helpful. The views were gorgeous and we will definitely be back!
My husband and I visited the cottage for a much needed get away. It was a perfect secluded little place. Everything you could possible need was there. We enjoyed the gorgeous views and the cottage itself. Will definitely stay again. Much nicer than any hotel!!
We were a little reluctant about the location when we first arrived because we wanted to be closer to direct river access. It ended up being great! We found many places to visit, fish, ride bikes, and walk trails. The cabin is very welcoming and very clean. It was stocked with most anything you would need. We got to meet some of the neighbors, and they were very welcoming and informative. We felt very safe, and the week passed way too quickly.
We will definitely return. Paige is the best!
A perfect place to stay to get away from it all! Very nice house and extremely responsive reservations. We will definitely be back.
Clean, clean, clean! The cottage was perfect for 4 to 6 people. It was very well supplied for a weekend getaway. Loved the huge porch and the back deck. Nice quiet rural area! Short bike ride down to the New River Trail, quite a challenging ride back up..but we did it! 5 minute drive to put our kayaks and paddle board in!
Perfect for cyclists! Sort of mid trail. We went to Pulaski and back first day, about 32 miles. To Galax 2nd day, shuttled bikes back to cottage..about 43 miles. Loved it all, the area, the trail and the cottage! We wanted for nothing:)
I was looking for a peaceful retreat after Radford's graduation. I found it here. I've stayed in many places over the years, but I've never seen one so spotless and clean, with everything you could possibly need. You can't go wrong staying here, and it's close to so many wonderful outdoor attractions, especially the New River Bike Trail (open to hikers and horseback riders too).
