Overview

Montana House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Enter this gorgeous home by crossing a footbridge over a gurgling creek cascading down from the snow capped mountains. With beautiful Red Oak floors throughout, it was designed by a prominent Harvard architect and built just fifteen years ago.

With approximately 2,400 square feet of living space, our home has three bedrooms and two and a half baths. The master bedroom (with private deck)and bathroom (shower)are downstairs and two family bedrooms, (Queen + Two Twins) and a marble bath (tub) are upstairs.

The large great room has wall to wall windows and two decks overlooking the mountain creek and is highlighted by a pass through fireplace surrounded in marble and a large screen TV (satellite). The dining room, on the other side of the fireplace, has an oversize pine table that expands to seat eight comfortably.

The kitchen has a Jenn Aire range, double oven, dishwasher, microwave and double sink (with disposal) set in front of a large picture window. A laundry room and half bath are also on the first level.

The entryway is spectacular - a two story cathedral type ceiling with lots of windows.

The house is located on five+ acres on a private lane at the foot of the Mission Mountain Range approximately ten miles south of Polson, Montana and Flathead Lake. It is surrounded by woods and mountains and completely private yet close to everything.

Completely furnished, it is a perfect place for someone looking to get away from it all and get back to nature. In addition, there are many local places of interest nearby. There is a beautiful lake set up in the mountains which is a perfect place for a hike and/or picnic. There is a wildlife preserve for nature lovers. Flathead Lake and all that it has to offer is just 20 minutes away. Kalispell and Big Fork are a wonderfully scenic hour drive away and Glacier National Park is about one and a half hours away.

In the winter time, there is downhill skiing in the area and what better than to curl up in front of the fireplace with a good book?

Free high speed internet and WIFI on site and free satellite TV.

Stunning, secluded and peaceful

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful home and surroundings! Woke up each morning with deer observing us in the kitchen, while we were enjoying watching them. The description of this home is extremely accurate, rented houses before and each time we've been fortunate to find homes that are perfect fits for our family. This home didn't let us down, and it's a home with the warm touches not just a house. The people in Rodan are wonderful and very friendly and proud of there community. We were given several suggestions of what we had to see while we were there, which is fantastic. The owner of the property was easy to work with and answered any and all my questions quickly. I would strongly recommend this home to anyone heading west. This was our first trip to Montana, won't be our last!

June, 2016 stay in MT

  • 5 of 5

Could not ask for a better home to spend time in while in Montana! Home is secluded enough to give you a sense of being in the middle of nowhere but yet close to everything needed. So grateful for having the opportunity to stay at this home and interact with the wonderful owners who were always kind and responsive during the whole process of scheduling, booking, etc. You will definitely love your stay at this home!

Couldn't ask for more

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I recently spent a couple of weeks at this home. In fact it was our third stay here, and our "excellent" recommendation still stands. As always the owner was extremely easy to work with, the home was very comfortable with every convenience you can imagine. The area is great for hiking, jogging, and exploring. We even saw a herd of big horn sheep and buffalo on our drive in. There's a good selection of family restaurants nearby, and a Walmart. Looking forward to our fourth stay.

Great Family Thanksgiving

  • 5 of 5

Our family celebrated Thanksgiving in the Ronan area. The home was spacious, very comfortable for 2 couples and 2 children. Sleeping spaces are private and can be shut off from the kitchen, living area noise if some of the group are early risers. The well equipped kitchen allowed us to prepare a full Thanksgiving dinner. The wooded, mountainside home is peaceful. Fresh snow and beautiful frosted trees added to the beauty of the area. A special treat was the fireplace ready wood pile just out the back door. Very easy to get to surrounding areas. Convenient to the many outdoor attractions during the summer and fall seasons. So much more relaxing than a hotel space. Our son's family lives in Ronan so we have explored the area before. Check out the Ronan Cafe for breakfast and the Dobson Creek Coffee shop. We would stay here again. A beautiful home away from the crowds, located in some of the gorgeous Montana scenery.

Excellent Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Had a wonderful ten days at this most beautiful home. My husband and I hosted our daughter, her fiancé and our 91 year-old mother. The house is centrally located for Flathead Lake, Glacier National Park, Whitefish Mountain, and one of our favorites, the National Bison Range. We enjoyed long hikes into the Mission Mountains for waterfalls and short walks with our elderly mother in the Ninepipe National Wildlife Refuge for bird and amazing mountain views. We enjoyed some of the restaurants in the area but decided to eat most of our meals at the house because the kitchen was such a delight to work in. I spent many happy hours preparing meals (I do not cook at home as my husband is the chef), just to enjoy the view and the well-stocked kitchen. The fireplace was so enjoyable during the cool evenings. The beds were very comfortable and the master bath has a lovely window seat. We would definitely stay here again and we highly recommend it! Thanks to Linda and her family for sharing their amazing home with us.

Luxury stay

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here alone during the first week of September. It is a very nice and convenient place to stay - like home. The master bedroom suite is very nice and private and quiet with its own balcony, which we enjoyed in the late afternoon. The house has a convenient kitchen with a large dining room next to it. The area was convenient to Flathead Lake, somewhat to Glacier, to the Bison Wildlife Refuge and to the Nine Pipes Refuge plus many other Native American lakes and refuges. We particularly loved the Bison Refuge where we saw more wildlife than any other place including lots of Bison (ask about their lineage), elk, pronghorn, bear, whitetail deer, mule deer, and big horn sheep. The scenery was also wonderful from there. Then we would return back to the quiet and privacy of our rental place. I would recommend this place to get away from the crowds, think, read, sleep, and then go out and see the local sites.
