Owner's Response: Merci beaucoup pour votre appréciation, cela permet d'améliorer l'accueil Je vais bien entendu faire le nécessaire pour la qualité du lit d'appoint (un nouveau matelas et d'ores et déjà disponible). Pour la machine à laver, le problème d'écoulement a été résolu. Une nouvelle installation est à l'étude

Location conforme à sa description. Repos et calme. Accueil impécable. Manque une terrasse en dur sinon le hamac très apprécié. (1 parasol). Maison très fraiche. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Owner's Response: Nous allons aménager le sol sur un petit coin en extérieur. Ce ne sera pas du dur, car le charme de cette maison vient de son intégration dans son environnement naturel, mais cela apportera encore plus de confort pour votre séjour

Gorges of Ardeche. The group formed by the Pont d'Arc and the Gorges de l'Ardèche is one of the most remarkable natural sites in France. It offers visitors a grand and wild landscape: gorges and limestone plateaus covered with holm oaks, meanders, remote dry valleys, caves and avens, rich in an exceptional geological and archaeological heritage.

Since 1980, the Gorges de l'Ardèche (1575 ha) are classified as a National Nature Reserve protecting more than a thousand animal and plant species: the Bonelli's Eagle, the Egyptian Vulture, the Peregrine Falcon, the Otter, the Phenicia juniper, etc.

More than 7000 ha are included in a Natura 2000 site recognized at European level.

The Pont-d'Arc cave, replica of the Chauvet cave, a few kilometers from the original. Visit by reservation: www. cavernedupontdarc. fr.

The Ornate Cave of Pont-d'Arc, known as the Chauvet-Pont-d'Arc Cave, has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2014.

Located in a limestone plateau crossed by the meanders of the Ardèche River, the cave contains the oldest paintings known to date (Aurignacian period: between 30 000 and 32 000 BC. J.-C.). This exceptional cave, which bears witness to prehistoric art, was closed by a landslide about 20 000 BP years ago and remained sealed until it was rediscovered in 1994, which made it exceptionally well preserved. More than 1,000 paintings with anthropomorphic or animal motifs have been inventoried on its walls. . It includes representations of dangerous species, difficult to observe for men of the time (mammoths, bears, cave lions, rhinos, bison, aurochs), more than 4,000 remains of Paleolithic fauna and various footprints of human steps.
