Lovely 3 bedroom, 2 bath home with multiple decks perched on the Conestoga River
About Emily Feenstra
My husband is from the area and we were looking for a weekend getaway spot to unwind and recharge. We've found the perfect place!
Emily Feenstra purchased this House in 2013
What makes this House unique
There aren't many homes on the river and you can feel yourself relax as soon as you turn onto the gravel lane. The deck overlooking the rapids is our favorite place to spend a lazy morning. We love being in the heart of Lancaster County and surrounded by Amish farms.

Jack is the best
Awesome stay at cool riverside property. Special touches provided by Jack made it even better. Truly could not ask for more in this wonderful part of Pennsylvania! Thank you.
Peaceful, quaint and well located house offering full ameneties including a 3-tier deck, grill, 2 living rooms, a large master bedroom and 2 smaller bedrooms. We had a fantastic time and enjoyed the soothing sound of the rapids that were flowing along the backyard.
Our family so enjoyed our stay. The house is spotless, roomy, and had everything in the kitchen we needed. The hosts could not be more thorough with a binder of all you needed to know in and about the area, and left us a tray of sticky buns as well. They make you feel at home for sure. Sheets and towels were provided which often is not the case in a house rental. The river is right in your backyard. An excellent location. The property caretakers also live next door and were extremely nice. Beautiful place!
Wonderful place and lasting memories
We wanted to stay in a home that offered us the opportunity to get a glimpse at the life of the Amish community . Let me say that this amazing place did not disappoint. We were welcomed with fresh sticky buns and tons of information on the Lancaster area and lots of fun things to do. This home was very convenient to all the wonderful sights . The high light of our trip was the opportunity to sit on our balcony and watch the parade of Amish families coming to church services in their horse an buggy. The wonderful care-takers stopped by on Saturday night to let us know that our Amish neighbor would actually be having the community church service at their home the Sunday we were there, and that we would get the chance to see quite an impressive display if we were interested. Let me say, it was just as impressive as he said it would be. Everything about our stay was great. From the decks over-looking the river to the front balcony overlooking the Amish farms. The home offered plenty of room, even a game-room/bar area that my son and husband really enjoyed. We will definitely be back again.
Tranquility and birds on the river
Eagle's Branch is a lovely house on the river with loads of outdoor living space. The house and kitchen have everything you will need for a comfortable stay. We cooked all our meals. Emily is very easy to work with and very responsive. We saw the eagle catch a fish in the river and carry it away, the great blue heron and loads of other birds! It was also interesting to be surrounded by authentic Amish farms!! Even though the property is secluded with plenty of privacy, Oregon Diary with its full grocery store and restaurant is only five minutes away.
I would highly recommend this property!!! Thank you to the Feenstra family!!!
Incredibly beautiful and relaxing location - didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back!
Come discover Pennsylvania Dutch Country and historic downtown Lancaster. It's a charming walkable town and yet you are in farmland within minutes. Our favorite places to visit include the Lancaster Central Market, the towns of Lititz and Strasburg, and all of the covered bridges near our home!
