It is widely agreed that the Jordaan is one of, if not THE best neighborhood in Amsterdam. It has lovely canals, great shopping, galleries and restaurants, weekly street markets and easy access to all the tourist sights in Amsterdam. Enjoy a unique experience on one of the funkiest boats in town located in the best neighborhood on one of the prettiest canals. Our quaint 'bohemian inspired' houseboat is full of artistic flair with all the comforts of home. Guests can enjoy a 'walking holiday' as attractions are easily reached on foot, or rent a bike just around the corner. Views across the canals and bridges are sprinkled with beautiful churches and amazing Dutch architecture. If location, location, location is your wish in Amsterdam, this is the rental for you. The space is perfect for 2 people or a couple with 1 small child. It is a small boat with low ceilings, but once you get cuddled inside it is extremely comfortable with all the modern amenities plus spectacular views on the canal out every window. We have a large outside decks on the canal and street sides (rare on houseboats) adorned with beautiful flowers and plants. The interior of the boat has 'funky' bright colors, cool lighting and lots of visual candy. There are 2 rooms and several outdoor sitting areas. The main room has a comfortable sitting area, dining table, kitchen and a queen sized bed. The 2nd room has a bathtub / shower, bathroom, office area and a single bed. Guests will have access to the entire home including high-speed wireless internet, cable TV, stove top, microwave and small toaster oven, Nespresso Coffee machine, Phillips Juicing machine and mixer, hot water pot for tea and kitchen and bathroom supplies.

About Jody Toll
My name is Jody and I grew up in Tucson Arizona, went to Lewis and Clark College in Portland Oregon, lived in Japan, Los Angeles, Amsterdam and Bali... I love to travel and Amsterdam is absolutely the best city in the world ! Come enjoy with us !
Jody Toll purchased this House Boat in 2005
Why Jody Toll chose Grachtengordel-West
When I first came to Amsterdam I knew I had to live on a houseboat. After years of searching, I found our boat which is located in the best spot in town and has tons of character! To wake up every morning to the glistening water, watch the ducks and other birds cruise by, listen to the live music and laughter in the streets and on the canal... it is a vibrant, artistic and beautiful place. I'm so happy to share it with you !
What makes this House Boat unique
This boat is special because it sits on top of the water with large windows all along the canal and a wonderful outdoor patio. The views are amazing, you feel as if you could touch the water. And the Jordaan neighborhood is simply the best area of town!

The best way to experience Amsterdam❤️
My husband and I visited Amsterdam several years ago and of course took a Canal Tour Boat ride. While on that cruise we noticed all these darling houseboats all along the canals. I told my husband When we go back We Must Rent a Houseboat to live on. When I found this rental on VRBO I just knew I had found the Best. From the minute Marguerite showed us our Home away from Home We Fell in Love. Every detail of this houseboat is Perfect. The Decor is definitely Bohemian Chic but even the orange and purple were perfect together. The kitchen had everything we needed or could possibly want to make all our meals in for the whole week we were there. There is a great market just down the canal one block away that had Fabulous food just like Whole Foods at home. Great bakery right across from market that makes Fabulous Chocolate Donuts to die for. We Loved our stay even in the middle of a bad week of rain and winds that our local Host Marguerite came over to warn us about. She was a great Host to show you how everything works and all the closets and cupboards so unpacking was a breeze. Marguerite even had fresh flowers and a nice cheese tray and wine all waiting for us to introduce us to our new home and certainly made us feel very Welcome. We had a Very Romantic week completely by ourselves all Cozy in our Bohemian Love Boat. Thank you Jody for having such an incredible houseboat and Thank you for allowing Steven and I to Share it.
I"m so happy you had a wonderful, romantic stay ! Come back and visit us soon ! Jody
Amazing location and great houseboat. ! So much charm and character — loved everything about it!
Funky theme, colors and style and wouldn’t want it any other way! Small but you have the whole boat to yourself. Slept 3 comfortably. Great location in a very central part of town very close to the Anne Frank house but quiet. So nice sitting on the back terrace watching boats go by and hearing the bells from the nearby church. Highly recommend!!
We loved it! Great location and everything was perfect for our mother-daughter long weekend!
My daughter wanted to stay on a houseboat for this visit (her 2nd) to Amsterdam, and I don't think we could've found a better one than Jody's. Her 6 year-old heart fell in love with the Bohemian decor of the houseboat (her favorite was the bathroom!) and being able to wave to all the canal boats going by. I loved that the little houseboat had all the things we needed for our 5 day stay. It's perfect for a couple or a few people who don't mind spending their time around each other :-) Jody and Margriet, the person who greeted us, were very accommodating and easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a similar experience.

Once in a lifetime!
Staying in this beautiful houseboat was the highlight of our visit to Amsterdam. We loved the eclectic and quirky interior, with something interesting and beautiful to surprise you wherever you look. Being right on the canal was a treat; we spent a lot of time on the outdoor deck, waving at the tour boats and enjoying the reflections on the water. Evenings were surprisingly quiet and peaceful.Location was perfect, we visited the outdoor market and found several local cafes we loved.(Recommend DeReiger especially.) Our host Margriet was delightful and responsive, easy to reach via email. We would return to Amsterdam just to stay on the boat again!
We loved our stay! The houseboat is cozy clean and comfortable.
