Cabin in the woods - Serene

  • 5 of 5

Want to get away? - this is a great place. 3 bed room cabin on the Little Manistee river is a quiet and beautiful place to get away and spend time with family and friends. You can drop some kayaks up stream and take out right at your cabin. We also watched a bald eagle soaring around overhead. No internet and limited cell service forces you to unplug. This location is near the great Dublin store to pick up some groceries and their famous jerky. We had a great time.

Well managed transaction, accurate description, we recommend and would stay again.

A secluded place to let loose

  • 5 of 5

I spent two days at this lodge with some high school and college buddies. We didn't do much fishing but we had a great time wading in the river and cooking various meats on the campfire.

Plenty of space and great access to the River (which actually was just the right temperature to cool off on a hot June Day).

The Lodge beds were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked with plates, cups, and appliances. Plenty of counter space. We used the oven when the rain kept us from having a campfire.

Having the multiple sliding doors really helped cool things off. Good water pressure.

There was no TV and very limited cell phone service, but we preferred that. It was the first time in years I haven't felt tethered to my phone all day.

The owner was helpful and responsive. I would highly recommend this lodge to others and will hopefully be back.

Relaxing & peaceful getaway

  • 5 of 5

This is our 2nd year coming to this cabin but it most definitely won't be our last! It is 1 of the most peaceful places I have found and has everything you need for a great time. We sat on the porch a lot overlooking the river and saw a lot of wildlife (eagle, muskrat, deer, wood pecker, birds and a few fish). The cabin has every amenity needed to make you feel at home yet on vacation. Opening all of the screened doors brings nature into the cabin and there's grills and a fire pit for the outdoor part. Truly a gem of a place & I'm so glad that we found it. The owner Victoria is always nice & responsive & I thank them for sharing this wonderful place with others!

Our Best Sister Trip EVER!

  • 5 of 5

Every year my sisters and I take a weekend away. I was in charge of selecting the location/rental this year. I knew if it wasn't just right I would hear about for years! I was apprehensive as the time drew nearer - would it smell cabiny, would the kitchen be okay, would the beds be right, would the location work?? When we pulled up, I was the first to walk in and check things out. PERFECT!! Everything was wonderful!! The kitchen is stocked with every implement we would need! The beds were comfy! The smell was fresh! And the location? Beautiful!! Close to the Douglas Valley Winery and you must get jerky from the Dublin General Store!! :-) Victoria answered any question I had quickly. We loved this place and we will definitely be coming back. Thank you!!

So nice we've been there twice

  • 5 of 5

We love this cabin - a house really - on the Little Manistee! So private and on a gorgeous stretch of the river! We've been there twice now - both times in winter - and have completely enjoyed ourselves. The house is well equipped and super comfortable. The great room is surrounded with sliding doors so you have a view out to the river in every direction. Plenty of quiet back roads for x-country skiing and snowshoeing. We're hoping to come in the summer this year to be able to get out on the river and enjoy this little haven in warm weather.

Secluded, Beautiful Cabin in the Woods

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I had a wonderful time here at the cabin. It was in a beautiful location by the river and we got to see a few ducks and a bald eagle. The cabin itself is very cozy and well stocked, and quite secluded. We had a bit of trouble getting back up on the trail to the highways since the cabin is at the bottom of a hill, but it was easy to leave the vehicle at the top of the hill the next time. There is a great general store nearby that offers delicious jerky.

All in all it was a great experience which I would definitely recommend.
