About the property

Private Architect Designed Cottage

We invite you to relax and enjoy our beautiful, peaceful retreat nestled in five private acres on South Pender Island. The property is sunny and warm with ocean glimpses from the cottage, deck and bathtub. The open concept cottage includes a spacious full height sleeping loft, fully outfitted kitchen with granite counter tops, bathroom with walk-in shower, and outdoor bathtub. The eclectic furniture consists of an antique industrial table and stools, modern Danish sofa and ottomans, and a comfortable (and new) queen bed. The cottage, completed in 2013, is close to hiking trails, beaches, Poet's Cove Resort and Port Browning Marina. We try to reduce our environmental footprint through the use of environmentally friendly cleaning and bath products. We also have two bikes and a yoga mat for your use.

Another wonderful escape

  • 5 of 5

We spent another wonderful Christmas holiday at this great tiny house cottage, we were here last year as well, and it was just as great the second time. The house is cozy and quiet with a great layout and wood burning stove that kept us nice and warm during the chilly few days we spent exploring South Pender. We hope to come again and maybe stay in the summer next year. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for some relaxing quiet time to disconnect and read and listen to music. The house also has a nice kitchen for cooking meals. Absolutely loved our time there again and Sandy is a great host, very responsive and flexible!

Worth the trip to Pender Island

  • 5 of 5

During our stay in/around Vancouver, this was our favorite rental. The location is remote but within a 15 min drive to the more "bustling" side of the island which includes grocery, liquor store, gas station, marina and pub etc. We never felt cut off but had a sense of privacy with the long driveway and plenty of land surrounding the cabin. The cabin itself was super efficient. We had three people total and never felt claustrophobic. Sandra was kind enough to provide information about different opportunities for wildlife watching around the island. I would definitely recommend staying here for several days if you can.

Cozy and serene

  • 5 of 5

My fiance and I (plus our pup) came for a long weekend and enjoyed the cabin immensely. It's well-appointed, private, clean, and tucked up and away from the road, which means you get a nice water view and a lot of quiet. Equally beautiful surroundings on a rainy or a sunny day (the rain actually made it all seem so much cozier!). Perfect for a romantic getaway or just if you want some time away from city life. Good access to beaches and hikes (up Mount Norman and then down to the water and back was our favorite!) and everything in the cabin is modern, stylish, and comfortable. Loved the outdoor bath - a really fun experience!

Perfect retreat of solitude and serenity

  • 5 of 5

Our daughter, who had stayed here in March, reserved this property for us for a relaxing getaway weekend to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary on June 11, 2016. Foxglove was just as described, with everything needed for our stay. The information and brochures provided about Pender Island were very helpful, and we took advantage of them to explore and visit a variety of places on both islands. We can recommend Sea Star Winery, the Driftwood Shopping Centre, the Kitchen at Woods, the pub and spa at Poet's Cove, and the Saturday Farmer's Market, as well as all the natural beauty of the land- and seascapes. Thank you!

What a wonderful place

  • 5 of 5

I had a wonderful week in this quiet, beautiful place. The cabin has a nice set of amenities, including a great kitchen (including some great exotic spices and cookbooks), bluetooth-connected soundsystem, barbecue, a very comfortable bed, and of course, the outdoor tub on the deck. I recommend this place very highly.
