Larger of the 2 units, The Crescent, is 1200 sq ft of classic New Orleans architecture that offers safety, style and the perfect location- 'So much to do...So little distance.' Located in the heart of Mid-City in the Bayou Saint John area, rated by Men's Journal Magazine as one of the top ten neighborhoods in America, The Crescent has cement floors, original art throughout, huge gourmet kitchen with quartz counters and SS appliances. The private courtyard has fountains, flowers, music in/out, large LR/DR combo perfect for entertaining! The Crescent is full luxury, comfort and style. Here's a bit more detail...

This two-bedroom apartment is 1200 sq.ft. of pure New Orleans charm and can sleep 6-8 guests, although limit of 6 or less is preferred. The Crescent's 2 BRs offer one queen bed, one full bed (highest quality bedding) two of the sofas, pulls out to full sized beds (with gel-foam toppers for added comfort), an extra large all white subway-tiled bath, cement floors, beautiful art, high-end kitchen with full furnishings, large DR with settings for 6, washer and dryer, and a private fenced courtyard landscaped with fountains, fragrant flowers, art and tons of privacy! This is a beautiful and unique place- it would be my pleasure to host your stay in NOLA. I’m Wendy and this is Graham. We are not only your hosts at The Crescent @ OGH but we live here, too! I am honored and excited that you’re considering or have chosen my home and Guest House for your trip to NOLA. I was born and raised in New Orleans and genuinely love everything about this city… from it’s eclectic culture, cuisine, and history to my amazing neighborhood, neighbors, and small piece of the most unique city in America! Orleans Guest House is a beautiful home in a great location that is furnished with very nice details. The SAFETY, the LOCATION, and the STYLE make this a great place to enjoy your stay in NEW Orleans, its that simple!

The larger of the two units at OGH, The Crescent is 1200 sq ft of New Orleans charm, beautiful art, and comfort — two bedrooms, large spa-like tiled bath, cement floors, huge kitchen with quartz counters, private courtyard, fountains, grill, separate entry/exit — total privacy!

PRIVACY and GUEST ACCESS is another plus...

All guests have an independent entry and exit with complete and total privacy. My philosophy regarding interaction with guests is…. I live on site and am available for suggestions on what to see/do and how to get there! Or… I will interact with you only when necessary giving you as much privacy as possible! Either way, this is a wonderful and unique city — “SO MUCH TO DO…SUCH LITTLE DISTANCE!” I know you will enjoy your stay!

Wonderful property and host!!

We have stayed at many homes across the country and this was definitely a favorite! Wendy was so helpful and her property had absolutely everything we could have wanted. We came in on July 4th weekend and she had a bottle of prosecco on ice waiting for us!. It was an extremely clean property, decorated with original New Orleans art, a great location, and a wonderful private courtyard. We will be visiting with Wendy again for sure!

Perfect vacation

Exceeds Expectations on All Levels

As a former hospitality industry professional I tend to have high standards that often leave me disappointed. My stay at the Crescent exceed all expectations that I had, and some I didn't know that I had. The property is beautifully appointed with all creature comforts and the extra thoughts and amenities offered were well thought out and provided. Beginning with a chew toy for my dog and refrigerator stocked with enough to get by without having to run straight to the grocery store. I normally stay close to the Quarter when I come to NOLA but having discovered Midtown and Bayou St John in particular, I plan on staying there when I return. The neighborhood is great, dog friendly, great restaurants with enough variety to keep you busy over a week. Easy walk to the street cars and the park, and the park is huge! Writing this review makes me want to go back right now. Wendy is a great host who loves her city and takes great pride in what she does and how she takes care of her guests. Go there now!

Beautiful, Outstanding space; Fabulous, Knowledgable Host

I was taking my elderly parents to a wedding in New Orleans and selected to stay at The Crescent based on location, reviews and off street parking. I totally agree with the other reviews. The décor is absolutely stunning, yet comfortable and practical. No matter what the weather or anything else you may have going on, you can not help but smile and be happy in such beautiful surroundings. Property was impeccably clean and well maintained; from the bed sheets to the bath towels to the dishes, every detail or need is accommodated with high-end, quality materials and appliances. Wendy is fun, informative, easy to talk to and accommodating. We had a "flavor of New Orleans" welcome basket waiting for us when we arrived and she answered all my questions and concerns promptly so I knew exactly what to expect and could better manage with my parents. We will definitely be going back and also recommending it to family and friends. Can't say enough good things about our family's experience staying there. She also has a 1BD/1BA that is upstairs and is in the process of renovating additional downstairs space.

Wonderful Experience!

I had an exceptional stay at The Crescent during my NOLA visit, and I will return here the next time I am in town, without question. From the minute I walked in, it became apparent that extreme thought and detail had gone into every piece of art, furniture, and decor. It was also impeccably clean with new appliances and great furniture. The bed I slept in was so comfortable that I considered replacing my Stern and Foster at home. On top of everything, I have to say the best part of staying at The Crescent is having Wendy as your host. She is hospitable, kind, and very knowledgable about the area. Wendy goes out of her way to make sure that you have a wonderful experience. This review is coming from someone who has the highest standards for cleanliness and attention to detail. I am certain you will have a wonderful experience staying at this property.

It Doesnt Get Any Better Than This!

The listing description and pictures do not do it justice. The Crescent is filled with beautiful artwork and all the right touches. The property is very clean and maintained. The décor is beautifully contemporary. The owner is incredible. She inquires what your interests are and then provides recommendations for the perfect stay. We had been to NOLA before and had done the touristy stuff. We went for an extended weekend filled with fabulous food, music and art. Wendy made great suggestions. She even provides a professional quality map of the various neighborhoods and her recommendations in each. She puts a lot of effort into making sure her guests are comfortable. Even my OCD husband said, she doesn't miss a detail. Whether it is welcoming you with a beverage, having coffee/tea at your disposal, high quality furnishings, wonderful sheets, bath towels, and amenities... she has it right there for you. She advised us on fabulous restaurants that had great jazz entertainment, excellent brunches, and an art festival. You can even access the trolley from the unit. The outside space is just as decorated as the inside. You will be elated if you stay here. We are already planning our next trip back!

This two-bedroom apartment is 1400 square feet of pure New Orleans charm and can sleep 6-7 guests. The Crescent offers one queen BR, one full BR, high quality pillow-top bedding, leather furnishings, extra large spa-tiled bath, cement floors, beautiful original art, high-end kitchen with full furnishings, large dining room and living room combination, office space with desk & chair, copier/scanner/printer/fax, and supplies, HE washer and dryer, and a private fenced courtyard landscaped with fountains, fragrant flowers, art and tons of privacy! Its a beautiful space- lots of New Orleans style, comfort, safety, privacy, gorgeous detail, and the best location in town!

BAYOU VIEW (Elevated Studio)

Charm, a beautiful view, private covered balcony and sound-system, spa-type tiled bath and beautiful furnishings and art. It’s the smaller of the two units at OGH but big on style and view! (Don't forget to look for Bayou View under a separate listing!)

THE CRESCENT (Larger Ground-Level Apt)

Spread out over 1200 sq.ft. of comfort in The Crescent. This larger space has 2 bedrooms, a large tiled bath, beautiful artwork throughout, huge kitchen with quartz countertops, a beautiful combined dining and living space, cement floors throughout, and a peaceful PRIVATE courtyard with fountains flowers and outdoor dining.

(Both offer offstreet parking if you have a car, but you surely don't need one!)


Walking Distance from OGH:

Walk it. Bike it. Scoot it. Row it. Transportation around OGH is easy and fun! OGH is a special place in the perfect location. Within minutes you can walk to Jazz Fest or a Mardi Gras parade like Endymion, or, even the New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA). You can catch the streetcar for an adventure anywhere around New Orleans, dine at some of the best NOLA restaurants, grab fresh produce at farmers’ markets, and more. In City Park alone there’s the New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA), a sculpture garden, a golf course and driving range, tennis courts, a dog park, and even 24-hour coffee and beignets.

A short cab ride — business or pleasure!

If the French Quarter is your destination, Downtown, Uptown, Garden District, Warehouse District, Business District, Morial Convention Center Shopping the Riverwalk or leaving dockside on a cruise, its all about a mile-and-a-half cab ride away.

Our historic nearby neighborhoods are fun to bike or rent a scooter. Faubourg Marigny and the Bywater offer daytime activities and festivals, as well as an active nightlife with famous (and “not-so-famous”) restaurants, bars, and music clubs!
