About Rebecca Schleifer
I was raised in the South so hospitality comes pretty natural to me. I have 2 other listings on VRBO and I love meeting new people! I am a licensed realtor and owner of a staging/design company so naturally I have enjoyed furnishing my rental properties. I am a huge Auburn fan and I love to kayak and paddleboard in my free time.
Rebecca Schleifer purchased this Bungalow in 2014
Why Rebecca Schleifer chose Tampa
This property screamed 'charming' to me. It has original beadboard and 10 foot ceilings! It is cozy and the neighborhood was created by other houses that were actually 'saved' from demolition from the city back in 2000.

Loving Centro Ybor area
We love to stay in vacation rentals because you get a real neighborhood feel for a city as opposed to staying in a hotel. This adorable cottage didn't disappoint! This place is an easy walk or drive to Ybor City, right on the other side of the I-4 overpass. The cobblestone roads and refurbished cigar factories give a real historic Caribbean feel to the area. While the house is situated in an older area, it is very peaceful and quiet, and unlike other reviews, we never felt the least bit concerned walking around after dark. We were treated to early morning crowing of roosters which gave us a most welcome old world feel. We totally recommend the Ybor City street trolley, eateries, and theaters. The trolley will take you into downtown Tampa, so you don't need to worry about parking your vehicle. This neighborhood has a lot of one-way streets but after figuring it out, you'll zip around in no time. An easy 10-15 minute drive to the airport. The owner was very helpful with recommending places to eat and visit. Thank you Rebecca!

We enjoyed ourselves emencily! The property had great access to all major highways and was convient to the shopping malls. We were able to find our way around easily.
The bedrooms were nice; the kitchen was well maintained. The pots and pans could use updating, I was hoping for a better mattress experience, but over alll, Iwould definitely consider the property again for future visits. I was very interested in the historical data especially when I noticed a name on the bricks only to discover it was an obsoleted road that still exists.
Thanks for the hospitality!!

This is a clean, cozy cottage with most of the comforts from home. The place is in walking distance to Ybor City and the trolley to downtown Tampa. The house was part of a neighborhood rehabilitation and preservation program so some of the homes in the area have not yet benefitted from this. This home however has been updated and maintained very nicely.
Had a lovely time in Tampa. The home was amazing.
The home was really great. Home very clean. Neighborhood very quiet at night. Would definitely stay there again.
Stay was enjoyable
I was in town for a conference and this place was perfect for what I needed. Plenty of room to relax. Convenient to down town and short drive to the airport. Any questions I had were met with a prompt replay.
Charming little house
Upon arriving at the house the first thing I noticed was the clean smell. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Pots, pans, dishes and towels were all included. There was one small issue the first day and it was easy and quick to get in touch with the owner, she was able to resolve the issue over the phone (it was such a minor issue, really only a question and I'm only including this detail because she was very helpful and was quick to get in touch with me, a plus if there was anything actually wrong).
As another reviewer stated DO NOT walk in this neighborhood at night, I did and am still alive but I caught a cab home because i didn't feel safe. Walking in the daytime I think is totally okay.
The only thing I didn't like is that there is a train close to the house. I am a light sleeper and it woke me up every night with its horns blowing multiple times. By my last night here I was used to it and slept through it but it was very annoying the first night especially. If you're not a light sleeper I don't think it would bother you as my husband slept right through it.
Overall I would stay here again, the price is good and it is right near the highway exit so no trouble getting around the area.
