A mere 3 minutes walk from the famous Puerto Banus, and the golden beaches of Marbella, lies the La Alcazaba development with it's lush well renowned tropical gardens. Nestled in the far corner away from the hustle and bustle of the pool is a very spacious well appointed 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom (sleeps 5) top floor, corner apartment with a large terrace overlooking the treetops. The apartment has air conditioning and heating throughout along with an open plan living area, television with Sky, DVD and surround sound Hi-Fi system. fully equipped kitchen and laundry room. There are 4 large interconnecting pools, including one for children and babies. 2 on-site restaurants, an indoor health club, 24 hour security and reception. Private parking. Excellent shops and restaurants very close by, tennis club next door and more than 20 world renowned golf courses in the vicinity.
We have just installed a super duper 40 Meg high speed internet connection to the apartment, which so fast that all the TV is now run through it... Say goodbye to the typical dreadful internet connection in Spain which started to become almost unusable, particularly if you wanted to do some work while on holiday. There is also now free wifi around the pool, so you will never be out of touch..

Fabulous decor and well equipped
Would gladly have stayed longer than the 4 weeks. It was a home away from home. We will be back.

Beautifully presented property in a great location
We have just returned from a lovely week in the sun at this fantastically presented and comfortable apartment which is right in the heart of things. The accommodation is beautiful and spacious with a great terrace which gets a lovely through breeze which is much appreciated! The apartment is all set up with great technology - we didn't use the TV at all during the week (we don't tend to when on holiday) but the wifi is very good and received much use particularly from the younger folk we had with us. Beach is within easy walk and lots of space to choose from. We used the pool a fair bit too which is clean and well maintained. Slight frustration that we needed to pay for beds as an extra but it didn't overall put us off going to the pool and the lifeguard was flexible and didn't charge us on our last day as we were only there until just after lunch. Overall we had a great time helped by the beauty of the apartment and its setting and also the owner's helpful advice in the documentation provided and in response to our queries ahead of our trip.

Yes they do make a small charge for beds, this is really to ensure that the pool, sun beds etc are always in tip top condition, replacing them every few years, which other development just don't do, all part and parcel of making sure everything, gardens etc are always looking their best.
A beautifully appointed and exceptionally well provisioned apartment
The owner Suze was very helpful in accommodating our travel plans and accommodation queries which is always a hurdle, particularly when travel includes three children/young adults and their diverse requirements. The apartment is in a beautiful location, conviently located to Puerto Banus. The central reception staff for the small complex were exceptionally helpful during our stay. For the children/young adults, everything was tick boxed immediately on arrival. WiFi worked, the TV had all the channels, the pool remained open (despite being November) and the staff and other residents liked small people! For Angie and I, the apartment was very well laid out, beautifully clean and furnished and had everything we needed to ease straight into a long overdue break. The guide that Suze had left for us on line was very useful and we took advantage of many of the suggestions offered. The apartment complex was safe, quiet and by no means a taxing distance from the beach or town. We would have no hesitation in rebooking with Suze again and we would highly recommend the apartment to other travellers. A wonderful place and a fantastic holiday.

This penthouse apartment has it all for a perfect holiday. It has everything - and more - for a very nice relaxing stay. Its location is very well situated in great surroundings. Once you have been there, you just want to go back!
Excellent, home from home.
Having arrived on a light flight we were pleasantly surprised at how spacious and welcoming the apartment was, the gentlemen on reception was cheerful and very helpful.
After settling in after 1 night the boys were very relaxed in their surroundings and proceeded to have a wonderful week. Suze and Rob were very helpful and checked in with us to make sure everything was ok, all the information provided was exceptional and made it very easy to relax into our holiday. The facilities restaurant and Aurora and family were very warm and welcoming and made our boys feel very happy and at ease with the surroundings. This is a stunning location that families and couples could equally enjoy with ease.
Great place in Puerto Banus
We spent 10 days in La Alcazaba and can only highly recommend it. The apartment was very clean and very well maintained. Restaurants are plenty and good in the area, but cooking at home was also a breeze with a well equipped kitchen and a fantastic supermarket within walking distance.
Nice pool area, a friendly tennis club across the street, so also lots to do for kids.
Service from the owners were top notch. Very clear information about how everything worked, deposit paid back immediately upon return - no complaints.

The apartment truly must be in the most perfect location, set in a tropical paradise of award winning gardens and yet only 5 minutes walk from the world famous Puerto Banus, with its vast selection of shops, restaurants, clubs and boats! A place to be seen and also to people watch! Just 3 minutes to the golden beaches that stretch for miles in each direction, walk the promenade all the way to Marbella town, stop at a tapas bar along the way, enjoy the water sports on offer at numerous locations. The tennis club is just out side Alcazaba, it has flood lit courts during the summer months. The golf courses in the area are legendary, but you can also drive into the mountain to ski or visit ancient sites, Take a trip to Gibraltar or a ferry to Tangier. - La Alcazaba What sets The Alcazaba Development apart from all others on the coast, apart from it having the oldest and most established gardens, is its proximity to everything. In the last 20 years of going to Alcazaba, we have never had to hire a car. This is probably because I am one of those lazy types who spends most of his time either lolling by the pool, walking on the beach, or in the Port, all of which are a few minutes walk from the apartment. - Puerto Banus 5 minutes walk away.. Puerto Banus a shoppers paradise, from top of the range designers to the more humdrum, or if you can't find what you are looking for in the port, there is always Corte Ingles (the equivalent to Selfridges in London), again only a few minutes walk away. With everything under the sun, including a supermarket the size of two football pitches, with its wet fish, meat, fresh vegetable section, delicatessen, bakery.... the list goes on and on, and if you don't feel like hauling your shopping back to the flat, don't worry there are plenty of taxis available for about £5-6, or you can use their free delivery service is you spend more than £100. Remember to take your id with you if you are paying by credit card. - Restaurants Whether you are looking for a cheap meal out at Jacks American Brasserie serving pizza's and hamburgers, or are in the mood to really push the boat out, Puerto Banus has every conceivable restaurant type for you, from the Finest French / Swedish Cuisine at Los Bandidos, Wonderful traditional Greek / Lebanese food at The Red pepper, Superb Indian at Khans, Sushi at Sushi Banus, you really will be spoilt for choice, there are literally 100's of restuarants to choose from. Those mentioned are our favourites and have been around for the last 20 years which really says something about the quality of their food, and what a pleasant experience it is going there.. We have recently discovered a wonderful Thai restaurant called Naga, right next door to Cortez Ingles on the other side of The Cristamar Shopping Centre which you walk past going to the port. - Night Clubs Puerto Banus certainly is the place to party with many clubs staying open almost the whole night. Probably one of the most famous bars in the port is Sinatra's which is at the top of the port right on the water front overlooking the large gin palace boats. Once you are well oiled, there are a whole host of clubs and piano bars in the next street behind... too numerous to mention. Hope you have a great time...and don't indulge too much.
