This apartment in La Rochelle offers a breathtaking view of the sea. On a surface of 40 m2 and with its unique room can accommodate 4 people.

Located on the 1st floor with elevator, the apartment has:

- A bedroom with a double bed

The apartment is very bright thanks to large windows in the living room. It opens onto a balcony on which there is a table and chairs, overlooking the sea. It includes 2 parking spaces in a private parking space behind a barrier and a cellar on the ground floor with 3 bikes available.

This apartment is ideal for couples wishing to holiday by the sea. 50 m from the building, there is the opportunity to walk along the bike path or walking trail along the coast. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance.

Two of us had a great week staying in this apartment.

It is bright, comfortable and spacious enough - certainly for two and with the obvious minor drawbacks if the living room is used as a bedroom.

Although the accommodation is on the side of the building, there is a view of the sea from the living room/balcony and during the hottest part of the day they are both in shade and keep cool.

The kitchenette is minimal and for breakfast/a light meal - it's fine and has all you would need. Just don't expect to be able to cook a 3 course meal for four in it!

The location, we thought was ideal - out of the busy Old Port area but close enough to walk in (20-25 mins) or cycle along the front as we did (7-8 mins) - a good way to either work up an appetite or work off a good meal.

The inclusion of bicycles in the rental was really appreciated and getting around the town on these was quick and easy. (the bikes have quick release saddles so adjustment was without a spanner)

The Old Port offers lots of things to see/do and countless restaurants & bars to suit all tastes. There are also lots of park spaces with shaded areas if it gets too hot. The Ile de Rey is a matter of 10minutes away by car - but be prepared for a 16euro toll! (or catch a bus!)

Mde Quiard was welcoming and took us through the necessaries on the apartment and local shopping. (Boulangerie 4 mins walk up the road, supermarket, grocer - another minute or two - ideal).

We would definitely recommend this accommodation for any age group.

A wonderful Stay in LaRochelle

We stayed for two months, all of August and September. The owner met us at our hotel and we followed her to the apartment. She was very kind, so much so that she drove us around the area showing us supermarkets, laundromats, appliance stores, everywhere we would need to know about. The apartment itself was just what we needed. The side-view from the terrace let us see the ocean, the boats sailing and the coastline. It was perfect as the sun was incredibly bright and strong and by about two in the afternoon the terrace was in the shade and we were protected from the sun's rays. Perfect. And the apartment stayed cool too.

The location of the apartment was also excellent. You leave the apartment, walk two blocks and you can catch the bus into the center of the Old Town which takes only nine minutes. And right across the street from the bus stop there is a small shopping area which holds an excellent market every Thursday morning. A bit up the road is another shopping area as well, so in a pinch, you can get all your supplies there.

Although the apartment only had a two-burner stove, it had a microwave with grilling, microwaving and baking functions. Very easy to use and grilled a lot of fish in it. The futon couch/bed in the living room was very comfortable and if you shut the door to the living room, it became a very private second bedroom at night. The building and the area are very calm and quiet, with easy access to all the activities in town.

The bedroom was fine, lots of storage space for clothes and all travel things, windows that open wide, as do all the apartment windows, so we had a great breeze all the time coming off the ocean. The bathroom was spacious, had a lot of storage space as well, a good washing machine and the shower was wonderfully strong.

You can walk into town right by the ocean, the time will vary with your age, but it was pleasant and pretty. Less than a five minute walk from the apartment, by the water on the walk to town, is a neat little restaurant named La Boussole, which we went to many times each week for a lovely sit by the ocean with a Coke Light and a delicious meal. Available for breakfast and lunch, with drinks and desserts only after three p.m. We loved the place.

The apartment for us was just what we needed. Everything she listed in the ad was there. We had a terrific two month stay and would definitely return to this apartment in the future if we ever make it back to La Rochelle.

Beautiful apartment

Loved this apartment. Situated in a lovely part of Port Neuf - close to a good selection of food shops and also 5 minutes on foot from a little bar overlooking the sea - Café de la Corniche. It was great to walk along to the bar and have a coffee or a drink before dinner. The bus for La Rochelle stops opposite the apartment - go to the Vieux Port without the worry of parking. As for the apartment the owners have given every care to include many extras in order to make this a comfortable holiday. Compared to other places we have rented it was superb. All equipment worked - and there was a copious supply of dishes and cutlery and glasses. Many thanks to M et Mme Quiard for their welcome.

MERVEILLEUSE SEMAINE

Nous avons passé une semaine merveilleuse à La Rochelle. L’appartement est idéalement situé avec vue sur la mer, d’une propreté irréprochable, équipé de tout le confort tant au niveau du mobilier, de la literie, que de la vaisselle et accessoires (lave-linge, lave-vaisselle, etc…) tout, en EXCELLENT état.

Nous avons apprécié la luminosité de l’appartement, prendre le p’tit déj en regardant la mer et les voiliers. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié la mise à disposition de vélos qui nous ont permis de découvrir les sentiers agréablement aménagés qui longent le bord de mer. Bref, nous gardons plein de souvenirs de cette magnifique semaine.

C’est également très agréable de garer la voiture dans une résidence calme et sécurisée.

Un grand merci aux propriétaires qui méritent largement les 3*. Cet appartement a pleinement contribué à la réussite de nos vacances qui furent courtes mais pourvues de découvertes de cette belle ville dotée d’une riche histoire et d’une superbe architecture, ainsi que des environs.

Nous souhaitons à tous les vacanciers un super séjour !

Très Bonne location sur La Rochelle

Appartement très bien situé, au calme. A 10 mn en vélo de la plage La Concurrence et 15 mn du Vieux Port. A 10 mn à pied des commerces où l'on trouve tout ce que l'on souhaite : pharmacie, boulanger, petit supermarché, poissonnier.

Parfait pour 1 couple et éventuellement 1 bébé, mais peu fonctionnel pour 3 ou 4 personnes.

Propriétaires très gentils et serviables.

Un merveilleux séjour à La Rochelle

Nous sommes restés deux mois, tous Août et Septembre. Le propriétaire nous a accueilli à notre hôtel et nous l'avons suivi à l'appartement. Elle était très gentil, tellement qu'elle nous a conduits autour de la zone nous montrant les supermarchés, les laveries automatiques, les magasins d'appareils, partout où nous aurions besoin de connaître. L'appartement lui-même était juste ce qu'il nous fallait. Le côté-vue depuis la terrasse voyons l'océan, les bateaux à voile et le littoral. Il était parfait car le soleil était incroyablement lumineux et fort et d'environ deux dans l'après-midi la terrasse était à l'ombre et on nous a protégé contre les rayons du soleil. Parfait. Et l'appartement est resté trop cool.

L'emplacement de l'appartement était également excellent. Vous quittez l'appartement, marchez deux pâtés de maisons et vous pouvez prendre le bus dans le centre de la vieille ville qui prend seulement neuf minutes. Et juste en face de l'arrêt de bus il ya un petit centre commercial qui tient un excellent marché chaque jeudi matin. Un peu sur la route est un autre domaine commercial ainsi, donc dans un pincement, vous pouvez obtenir toutes vos fournitures là.

Bien que l'appartement avait seulement un poêle à deux brûleurs, il y avait un micro-ondes avec fonctions gril, micro-ondes et la cuisson. Très facile à utiliser et grillé beaucoup de poissons en elle. Le canapé futon / lit dans le salon était très confortable et si vous fermez la porte de la salle de séjour, il est devenu une deuxième chambre très privé dans la nuit. Le bâtiment et la région sont très calme et tranquille, avec un accès facile à toutes les activités de la ville.

La chambre était très bien, beaucoup d'espace de rangement pour les vêtements et toutes les choses de voyage, des fenêtres ouvrantes large, comme le font toutes les fenêtres de l'appartement, nous avions donc un grand brise tout le temps à venir de l'océan. La salle de bain était spacieuse, a eu beaucoup d'espace de stockage ainsi, une bonne machine à laver et la douche était merveilleusement forte.

Vous pouvez vous promener dans la ville juste à côté de l'océan, le temps varie avec l'âge, mais il était agréable et jolie. Moins de cinq minutes à pied de l'appartement, par l'eau sur la promenade de la ville, est un petit restaurant soigné nommée La Boussole, que nous sommes allés plusieurs fois par semaine pour une belle sit par l'océan avec un Coca light et un délicieux repas.
