Drive into the village and park your car in one of the two parking spaces at the house which is steps away from Doubleday Field, Main Street with its restaurants and shops and the Baseball Hall of Fame. This house has been newly renovated and restored. A Cooperstown Village farmhouse with 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, living room, dining room, den, laundry room, family room and kitchen. Comfortably sleeps 8-10.
We were in Cooperstown for the Baseball Hall of Fame Induction and this was quite possibly the best location in the entire town. You are literally across the street from Double Day Field and a block from main street. We had our young twin girls with us and it made for a much easier stay knowing that they didn't need to be loaded into the car each day. Everything is walkable. Truly...everything is walkable!
The front porch is adorable and given the excitement of the Hall of Fame weekend we spent a lot of time on the porch meeting and greeting people as they passed by. It was so much fun!
The owner was great to work with - very responsive. Her property manager was also incredibly helpful and responded immediately to my requests...and it seemed that I had quite a few.
The house is beautiful. The kitchen is very modern and well stocked. It was super helpful to have a washer and dryer on-site. The bedrooms were nice - great linens and very comfortable. It's very nicely decorated and made for a very comfortable visit. The house is old - probably more than 100 years by my guess, so it's important to keep in mind there are features like steep stairs and creaky floors, but personally...the character is unbelievable. You definitely feel like you've stepped back in time and that was worth it for us!
We highly recommend this property and will definitely stay again the next time we visit Cooperstown! Thank you!
My family stayed in this beautiful home for a long weekend and fell in love with this house! The location to downtown is perfect. We were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go, including the Hall of Fame. The home is beautifully decorated and has so many personal touches. If you have children, this home is a great option for you. There are plenty of toys and books. Cooperstown is such a friendly town. Everyone we encountered was so kind and helpful. We would absolutely stay here again!
This House was perfect for our weekend trip to Cooperstown. The location was perfect, one block from Doubleday field and two blocks from the Hall of Fame.
While in town we walked to everything. The house itself was perfect for what we needed, there were enough beds to sleep 6 adults comfortably, and plenty of room to share a meal and/or relax and socialize with the entire group. I would definitely stay there again. Bill
We stayed here in early August for 4 nights and had a fabulous time! The location is perfect--just park your car in the driveway and walk or take the trolley to all attractions. Doubleday Field so close you see it from the house, and Main Street is one block away. Cooperstown is full of lovely homes, gardens and parks, and we took long walks each night through the beautiful neighborhood. It was perfect for the 3 teens in our group, who loved the freedom of walking around town without having to wait for us. The house itself is lovely--historic, full of character, comfortable and very welcoming. There is an impressive and diverse collection of books and games, which we were encouraged to use, and I hope to return just to raid those bookshelves again! For the first time in years, we laughed and played board games as a family every night. (Did I mention we were traveling with 3 TEENS?). The house was well-stocked, amazingly spacious and thoughtfully laid out. There were several distinct areas for personal space, and each room had it's own charm. We would love to return here, and hopefully meet Sue next time, as we clearly felt like this is a well-loved family home. Steve who welcomed us was also very nice and helpful. Thanks for a wonderful stay....we hope to return next year!
Recently spent a delightful W/E at this well equipped home.(Drawback no microwave. Our family loves MW popcorn while we play cards) Kitchen supplies including baggies soap, etc., liquid soap dispensers in bathrooms, towels (bring your own washcloths),great front porch where you meet friendly people as they go into town and the walking distance is just that--a short walking distance. T.V.-unable to view shows or news but husband survived (bring your computer/Pad). Meeting Sue--a warm and friendly person. As if you have known her forever!
Great lunch on the Lake & Pizza from NYC - the delivery guy was sooo friendly
Short visit and great memories!
We stayed here with 5 adults and 4 kids for a baseball tournament at Doubleday Field. It is the perfect location and a great house. Lots of room, very close to the field and downtown( a short walk) well-stocked with utensils, pots and pans and dishes. The owner was great to work with and they have a "caretaker" who is available for questions and problems ( he was very nice) It is a cute older home that reminded me of my grandmother's house. Would definitely stay there again. Also there is a washer and dryer which was great.
