A wonderful apartment in a prime location, very well maintained. Marie was very helpful. The view from both terraces was priceless,
we enjoyed our stay very much!
Paradise in the shadow of the Pantheon
Puny words cannot adequately describe the perfection of this vacation rental. From the initial inquiry to Marie Curto to our delivery to Fiumicino by their consigned driver, our stay exceeded expectations. Customer service was outstanding, friendly and helpful, from Marie, her agent Sasi, the housekeeper Gina and the porter in the building. The location couldn't be better: at the secured front door a left turn takes you to the Corso Vittorio Emanuel just a block away. Turn right, and you're maybe 300 yards from the Santa Maria Sopra Minerva and the Pantheon. Just across the street, we were happy to find a grocery store complete with a bakery and fresh seafood. If we had wanted to cook, we could have entertained splendidly with the kitchen and dining amenities. Housewares included plenty of china, glassware, flatware and serving pieces, pots and pans - even place mats and napkins. Dishwasher and microwave, too. The comfortable indoor living areas and terraces cannot be overestimated. Although it was chilly during our stay, we had drinks every afternoon on the terrace, with the Pantheon and St. Peter's on the horizon. A sound system with a variety of CDs provided excellent background music. We didn't watch TV (so much else to do!). Bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfy, with excellent lighting for reading. The bathrooms also were well-appointed and nicely laid out. Excellent pressure and plenty of hot water. The master bath has a wall-mounted, lighted make-up mirror.
We felt safe, secure and pampered and intend to make this our home whenever we're in Rome.
What you see is what you get! The Best of Rome.
Excellent location, very secure, comfortable and perfect for our family of four adults. Sasi greeted us and oriented us to the place, unfortunately the power went out right after she left, and it took a while to connect with her to find the breaker. That was the only glitch in what I would call a wonderful place to stay while visiting Rome. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen adequate, but so many excellent restaurants close by that we hardly cooked. Outside patios were delightful for summer evenings with snacks and cocktails. Air conditioning was a big plus, especially if you are renting in summer months.
One of the best restaurants in Rome is right downstairs. Anotica Cordsi.
All in all, I loved this place!
It was a pleasure to have you and your family as guests. We are pleased that the apartment exceeded your expectations. Sorry about the power outage; a drain on the system caused by the heat wave. We will be sure to inform all incoming guests of where the circuit breakers are located, in case such an outage should ever occur again. Come back soon!
Fab location, idyllic L.R. and terraces, felt like a Roman for a week!
Overall this is a lovely place to stay. It's sweet to be a two minute walk from the Pantheon, five minutes to Piazza Navona and Campo De Fiori. There are comfortable beds, crisp sheets and and plentiful towels. The heat worked beautifully (needed it a bit in late March,) and the apt. is deliciously quiet. The Upstairs L.R./dining room/kitchen is a delight to come home to after a long day sight-seeing. The 2 upstairs terraces have gorgeous views. Sosi, Marie's agent in Rome was super helpful and attentive. If i were to criticize anything, it would be that the showers had somewhat low pressure (take showers when no-one else is...) and the kitchen had a loose faucet and the dishwasher seemed unattached to its cabinet. But everything in the kitchen worked well otherwise and there were plentiful supplies. The satellite TV had CNN in English, and tons of channels. We enjoyed the large selection of travel books and novels. There is a super-market across the cobblestone street and a late night minimart as well. The elevator is super small but great to have for me, although my kids went up and down the stairs most of the time. We had an amazing time staying in Marie's apartment for a week, and I would highly recommend it to anyone...
We're so glad that you enjoyed your stay. Sasi, our agent in Rome, said you were lovely guests.
We'll look into fixing the kitchen faucet right away, and check the water pressure in the showers.
We look forward to welcoming you back for a future visit.
Perfect home in Rome !
This apartment is truly wonderful. The living room/ dining room /kitchen area is so comfortable, full of light and views from the 2 upstairs terraces. It was hard to leave and enjoy the streets of Rome- but when we did, we were in the heart of the Centro Storica. We walked to Campo de Fiori for fresh produce and bought supplies at the up the street supermarket. The kitchen was well- stocked for preparing our own meals to eat on the terrace watching the sun set over the Pantheon. Truly a remarkable apartment !
at home in rome---a dream come true
the beautiful city of rome feels like home when you meet at this apt---a tiny street very near the pantheon and piazza navona---open the huge wooden door, step into the inner area with iron gate, view the huge urn behind, pass the marble steps and go up in the walnut paneled elevatio---then the door opens to the apt and all is bright and spacious and with the 2 terraces and 1 balcony you have fabulous views---our favorite is sunset over the pantheon and st peters---the baths and bedrooms are lovely and the kit-dr-lr area invites you to relax and enjoy rome---you can walk almost anywhere you want to visit---most days we start in a cab and then enjoy the beautiful walk back that gives you a chance to really have the chance to feel how rome looks and lives. every day we found this apartment to be a dream come true---this is our 2nd stay and we want to return next year---
In the heart of Old Rome, everything is within walking distance, Churches, the Capitoline, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona and many archeological sites
