For the perfect mix of island resort living with all the comforts of home, you’ll love the Elikapeka Suite at Sands of Kahana. Located on the west coast of Maui, you’ll have sandy beach access mere feet from our home, full views of the ocean, the island of Lanai’i, breathtaking sunsets, and the gorgeous West Maui Mountains all from your expansive --nearly 2000 square feet-- 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo suite. All of your needs can be met on the resort, but for those who want to explore all that Maui has to offer, Kaanapali, Kapalua, and downtown Lahaina are all just minutes away.

The Elikapeka Suite is perfect for groups and families of all ages! Our home is a corner unit 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, one-level, open floor plan condo with a large, gracious, fully-stocked kitchen, separate dining and living rooms, featuring two large lanais with direct ocean (from master & living room) and mountain views (2nd & 3rd bedrooms). The suite is privately owned (not a timeshare) and has been renovated throughout with new stainless steel appliances, full-size LG steam washer and dryer for your private use, flatscreen Samsung and LG LED televisions, exotic wood flooring in each bedroom, high-speed koa wood fans throughout, high thread count, hypo-allergenic bedding and high-end mattresses, modern island furnishings, artwork, and plenty of bath and beach towels for all! For those rare, uncomfortably warm and humid tropical days, our unit is also one of the only of its size at Sands of Kahana to offer controlled central air-conditioning.

An ideal place for gathering family and friends, the suite comfortably sleeps up to eight guests on one king bed and three queen beds.

A few notes on frequently asked questions:

-We will not share the unit number until your reservation is paid-in-full. This is for security and guest privacy purposes.

-Length of stay and discounts: Stays of less-than-five nights will be only be considered where there is a 'gap' between other bookings and additional nightly discounts may be available for those stays. Given the quality and size of our unit, the many on-site amenities that are included in your stay, and our competitive pricing relative to other three bedroom units and hotels in the area, we do not offer additional discounts other than what may be occasionally advertised here. For monthly rentals, cleaning fee is waived.

-Depending on other bookings and time of year, we may ask if you have any flexibility in your dates. We recommend booking your accommodations before your flights if you have flexibility.

-Your payments are non-refundable unless we are able to rebook your dates; you'll have a chance to review the full cancellation policy in the rental agreement before you complete your reservation.

-Since group vacations to Maui can be very expensive, we highly recommend looking into trip insurance to protect you against any unexpected life events that may prevent you from honoring your stay. Insuremytrip is an independent site that allows you to compare coverage options.

About Brooke and Ken (Owners)

Ken & Brooke are a father-daughter duo who are truly striving to make this home all about bringing together and celebrating friends and family ('ohana'). Ken (aka Dad) lived on Oahu as a young Navy brat (a member of the “world-famous” 1955 Hawaiian Pineapple League Champion Little League team!) and has fond memories of his Hawaiian childhood. In 2014, we decided to purchase a home at Sands of Kahana as an occasional retirement retreat and family vacation home.

We have been enjoying Maui for over twenty-five years with our extended friends and family and are excited to help you do the same!

Our home is named in honor of Ken’s remarkable sister, Elizabeth, who passed away in 2012, but lived her life practicing aloha and caring for others.

Why Brooke and Ken (Owners) chose Maui

After staying at many places on Maui's westside, we chose Sands of Kahana because of its great location (accessible, but away from it all), spacious units, one-level (with elevator) living, resort-style property features. We could see the potential in what was an old, outdated unit the minute we walked in and the many joyful future vacations with extended family and friends.

What makes this condo unique

When the tradewinds are blowing we love being able to open the windows and feel the breeze. There's also nothing better than the faint crash of the waves that lull you to sleep at night.

Lovely unit that fitted all our needs. Will use it again in the future.

Brooke was excellent to deal with and the unit was true to the description given in every way. Enjoyed the location and the views of the ocean especially early morning and in the evening out on the Kansai. The sleeping accomodation suited the six of us very well. I particularly enjoyed sleeping in the master bed - the mattress cured my sore back. The facilities in the unit were excellent from the TV equipment and Internet access, to the laundry facilities. We all enjoyed the beach equipment such as the chairs, and boogie boards.

Family Vacation for 7

We stayed at Brook and Ken's property at the Sands of Kahana resort in June 2016 for 5 days as part of our 15 day Hawaiian vacation. We had 3 adults, and 4 teenagers in our group. Ken and Brook were great to work with and communicated with us every step along the way of our rental planning, and vacation stay. The condo is beautiful, with lots of space for everyone to spread out. The kitchen has EVERYTHING you could ever need and was already stocked with many spices, condiments, and a few other non-perishable items that came in handy thanks to the owners or other renters. They have a full size cooler for your use, which we found very beneficial during our "Road to Hana" drive. They've also got plenty of beach towels. The washer and dryer are top notch and were very useful. The entertainment system is fantastic offering smart TV's for all your TV/Movie watching needs. The outdoor patio is a great place to hang out and enjoy a meal or snack. The pictures provided are great. Some upgrades have been made since the photos were taken and I think the unit is even better than depicted. Having air conditioning is a great perk, but the overhead fans are fantastic as well. The views are fantastic and the Sands of Kahana property is beautiful, easy to get to, close to shopping, and overall just a great place to be. The onsite restaurant and bar offers great bar & grill style food right next to the pool. There are plenty of chairs around the property to enjoy the pool and beach areas. The rental booth next to the pool can help you with kayak's or paddleboards, snorkel gear, and anything else you might need to get out in the water. The Old Lahaina Luau is just down the road, and I highly recommend it if you plan to attend a Luau. If we ever go back to Maui, I'm very likely to be a repeat customer! Perfect in Every Way

I was a bit apprehensive about returning to Hawaii after a stay in 2007 didn't go so well. All that anxiety completely disappeared once we entered the Elikapeka suite at the Sands of Kahana. This very spacious, beautiful, clean and air conditioned unit completely exceeded my expectations. Our family of six thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day stay here. The views were fantastic, and the unit had absolutely everything we could possibly need. We were fortunate enough to meet the owners prior to checking in....extremely nice people who have gone above and beyond to make sure their guests are happy and comfortable. We will most definitely book our next stay here!

Excellent

Warm friendly welcome, coffee, candy and a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Great view - all the comforts of home. Every possible kitchen appliance you could ever want - clean and maintained. Would definitely recommend. Loved having dinner at the Sea House by Napali Shores - also tried The Gazebo which was a great breakfast treat.

This was a lovely unit to stay in. Great location with lots of space and comfortable beds.

My family and I had a great experience staying here. The unit was very large with lots of space for all of us. We were 5 adults and 3 kids plus a baby and it was very nice we each had our own space as well as a big communal space so we weren't on top of each other. The location of the resort was central to all the places we wanted to go. The resort itself was perfect for us. The beach and pool were steps away. There was also a pool side restaurant that came in handy when needing to feed children that only had to come out to eat and then go back in. The unit was fully stocked with boogie boards, pool noodles, beach chairs and cooler so we didn't need to buy any beach/pool stuff. The beds were very comfortable and the view amazing. Brooke was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. I would highly recommend staying here especially if traveling with a large group and children.

Fantastic unit

Our family had a fabulous trip! This three bedroom unit was perfect for our family. There were eight of us and we found the unit to be modern, nicely decorated, updated, the beds were comfortable, and it was very well stocked. There was even an ice chest, sand toys, frisbee, chairs, and boogie boards to take to the beach. We loved being able to play tennis and basketball. We brought our own rackets, but you can rent rackets from the front desk. The kids had a blast playing on the beach and going back and forth between the two pools. The Beach House restaurant was right by the pool and the food was great.

Brooke was very helpful. The condo was quite hot and stuffy when we first arrived, but she reassured us that once we opened up the windows it would cool down and it did. When we had trouble with one of the tvs, she was very knowledgable and had the owner's manual on hand. She also sent someone to reprogram the remote.

We can't wait to come back next year. Thank you for helping to make our vacation a great one!
