Stylish, quality, ground floor apartment, built in 2006 to a unique design. Quality fixtures and fittings throughout.

Traffic-free development is quiet, relaxing for you, safe for your kids.

Fully furnished apartment with air conditioning in the lounge and main double bedroom. There is a computer enabled 40' Flat Screen TV (which has most of the Freeview UK Channels via an internet TV box), Wi-Fi, DVD player and radio/CD player and iPod dock. Extensively equipped kitchen including a dishwasher to save you washing up!

The en-suite bathroom has a shower, & bath, whilst the main shower room has, shower, bidet, toilet & washbasin.

The main bedroom is a double and the second bedroom has twin single beds.

The patio/terrace overlooks the gated communal pool. A 5 minute stroll takes you to the main shopping, restaurants and bars and recently opened Punta Marina commercial centre.The beach is a 10 minute stroll away straight down the road. You will find numerous bars and restaurants within easy walking distance, Torrevieja and the famous beaches of La Zenia and Cabo Roig are just 5 minutes drive.

Becoming more famous is La Zenia Boulevard shopping centre. Look it up, great shopping and great restuarants. This is a ten minute cycle ride away (it takes about the same in a car!).

Further afield Benidorm is an hour and a half drive.

Golf Courses in the Area: 'Villamartin is one of the best courses in Spain, probably the best in this region and also hosted the Spanish Open' Fore! magazine January 2000.

Las Ramblas, the incredible water hazards-the ramblas-which make this golf course different from all the others in the area. Take plenty of balls. You'll need them'. Fore! magazine January 2000.

La Finca, a new course opened in 2002.

Campoamour, built in two valleys, lush fairways and fast greens with palm, pine and orange trees. Very smart clubhouse restaurant and bars.

All these courses are about 10-15 miles away. Personally I prefer the sun, sea and sandy beaches to the greens but there are plenty of greens to go at!

Go-karting & Water Parks: There is a good Go-Karting circuit a mile down the N332 which is absolutely great fun for kids of all ages.

For a great day out there is the water park in Torrevieja. Keep costs down by taking your own picnic and enjoy the water flumes and slides. There are videos of what to expect on you tube if you do a search on Torrevieja water park Aquapolis. If you look hard enough you can usually find some discount vouchers on the entry fees.

Terra Mitica In Benidorm is 75 minutes away and well worth a visit especially is you want to keep the kids amused.

Eating out: You don't go on holiday to do the cooking. The kitchen is fully equipped with all that you need to cook if you want to, but there are plenty of restaurants offering menus from all parts of the globe in Torrevieja. WithIn easy walking distance are enough restaurants to last a week without eating in the same place twice. There is an impressive looking Japanese/Chinese restaurant housed in a traditional Chinese pagoda type building about 500m down the road if you want a special celebration meal. Patio Andaluz is a Spanish restaurant that enjoys an excellent reputation amongst the locals, you need to book early. If it is your birthday, Puccini's will feed you for free! (Groups of 4 or more). If you drive up to Villamartin Plaza (10 minutes tops) there are umpteen restaurants, and I'd recommend going at least once. Eduardo's is quite a nice place but they are all of a good standard and the plaza itself does have a bit of a buzz about it. .

About Gareth Griffith

Janet and I have been married for quite a few years and now that the mortgage on our home in England came to an end bought this apartment to benefit from cheap flights and the Spanish sun shine. Janet and I both love walking in the Derbyshire Peak District and the Yorkshire Dales with our black Labrador Belle. We love the English pubs and would never leave England for good but the British Winter isn't as good as it could be and as Janet is a sun lover and I like the beaches, Spain was a good choice.

Why Gareth Griffith chose Torrevieja Area

These apartments are of a higher quality than most and they benefit from having well maintained gardens and pools. The location is brilliant. On the urbanisation it is right in front of the pool and enjoys full sunshine in the morning and the benefit of shade when it is too hot in the afternoon.

If you want sun in the afternoon it is easy to nip over into the pool area.

There local amenities are all close by but not so close that they create any noise nuisance.

It is our holiday home too. We have done our best to ensure that it has all the things that we need to have a comfortable holiday and that the fixtures and fittings are of a decent standard.

Flights to and from Alicante or Murcia airport are readily available throughout the year at reasonable cost from almost all UK airports.

We also visit off peak and visit Murcia, Valencia, Benidorm and even Granada when the weather is not at sunbathing standard!

What makes this apartment unique

There is nothing unique about this property. There are lots of similar apartments but very few have all the fixtures and fittings that come as standard in our apartment.

The community is very multicultural and everyone has a smattering of English

Holidays in May 2009

The apartment was perfect, spotless and very well equipped. The location was great, directions from Alicante airport were spot on, we got there with no detours! The complex was very secure and child friendly as cars were parked outside the locked gates.The pool being directly in front of the apartment was perfect as the kids were able to be seen from the patio.This meant we could relax and not have to be in at all times, we would have been like prunes! There were supermarkets and a variety of places to eat within a few minutes walk. The beach was about 10 minutes walk although we had hired a car and ventured to other beaches further afield. We would recommend a car to take advantage of the coastal resorts close by.There is an information folder within the apartment which was full of great information about what to do, where and when to go. This was a great source of very useful information, thanks Garreth.We would highly recommend this apartment to friends and family. We all had a fantastic holiday and look forward to returning sometime in the future.

You're right to recommend hiring a car, it isn't expensive and it gives you access to the best beaches/tourist attractions. I'm pleased you found the information folder useful. A fantastic apartment with a brilliant location. We (myself and my partner) had a lovely week in glorious weather in this clean, spacious apartment. Everything you could ask for and only a few steps to the pool. Gareth and the key holder (Rich) were very helpful as well as the local community living in the other apartments. Thank you!

Booked our short 10 days April/May 2015 break to this well appointed, quality, ground floor apartment, with two main bedrooms and bathrooms. The owners were extremely helpful and information with the booking, the follow-up confirmation and all the necessary arrangement and information of the holiday rental

We flew into Murcia airport

Where our transfers arranged by the holiday owner to and/from the airport by Richard who met us at the airport and during the drive to the apartment provided us with a wealth of information about the local shopping centre, restaurants and other interesting hot spots in the area

The apartment is well laid out. In the lounge there is a smart big sized TV, the big sofas was extremely comfortable and there was a stack of books and DVD’s with easy Wi-Fi connections, plus a radio/CD player and iPod dock. In the book shelves were numerous files of collated information of outings, day trips, restaurants, activities which made very useful reading for a first timer visitor.

The kitchen was extensively very well equipped with all the more than essential kitchen gadgets including a new barista coffee machine.

The en-suite bathroom has a shower, & bath, whilst the main shower room has, shower, bidet, toilet & washbasin.

The April/May weather was ideal with temps rising into the 22c and 25c. Our very favourite eating out place was the NAUTILUS, on the edge of the beach, which had a very extensive menu at a very good rate and the quality of the cuisine is worth going back for.

We liked the place so much we have booked a 4 weeks during

Christmas and the New year 2016.

Wonderful in any way.

The apartment was wonderful in any way. Clean and very cosy. It was warm in the cold evenings. Good beds. We enjoyed every minutt and will surely come back. Highly recommended.

Although the days can be warm in March the evenings can be cool, for that reason we invested in air-conditioning that cools in summer and heats in winter. Last year we invested in an expensive new double bed as we like a good nights sleep too! We look forward to hosting you again.

Car: recommended

Los Altos is 10 min drive south of Torrevieja on the Costa Blanca . The apartment is on a development of Andalucian style, classy low rise buildings about 500 metres from the N332 coast road. Our apartment overlooks the communal pool and has its own small garden. Local amenities at Punta Prima are all within very easy walking distance. A car isn't essential but would certainly add to your holiday as there are loads of great beaches within 10 minutes drive, Cabo Roig and La Zenia are two favourites.Further afield the historic cities of Cartagena, Elche Orihuela & Murcia are all worth a visit. If you prefer to use public transport there's an hourly bus service to Torrevieja. Further afield (about 40 min drive) there are the unspoilt, very scenic beaches at Calblanque with water so clear you can see fishes swimming round your feet. The Mar Menor and La Manga also merit exploring on a day trip. There are good motorway connections to both Alicante and Murcia Airport.

Other Activities: tennis courts 500m down the road, Go-Kart 1500m

Golf: You might want to book in advance from home to make sure you get to play where you want to, when you want to. Villamartin, Las Ramblas, Campoamor and La Finca are the names to look out for. If you have the inclination to travel further La Manga is about 30-40 minutes to the south.

The views over Campoamor are very nice and the terrace is a great place to have a beer and watch the sun go down.

If you aren't a golf fan just lie on the beaches and get some Costa Blanca sunshine whilst your partner enjoys some superb courses.

There is a hire shop locally if you can't bring your own clubs.

Ski: You can hire Jet Skis and speed boats at Cabo Roig Marina which is about 10 minutes to the south.

There are some bars and restaurants that the rest of the family can sit at and watch you having fun in the sun. Beware of having a drink before you try to hire your boat as they won't hire you any equipment if they feel that you've had an alcoholic beverage or two! Terry Wogan had a place in Cabo Roig but don't let that put you off as he's sold up and moved on.

You can get to Cabo Roig by following the Coastal Path but it is a long walk!

  • 1st Bedroom has very quiet air conditioning for a good night sleep during the hot summer months and an en-suite bathroom. The bed benefits from a luxury foam mattress which is exceedingly comfortable.The bedroom furniture is all dark wood to coordinate with the rest of the apartment. Furnishing consists of built-in wardrobe, two bedside cabinets and a large chest of drawers which gives you plenty of room for your clothes. There is a safe fitted for additional security of your holiday cash, passport and other valuables. In addition there are 2 Philips 1900 watt hair dryers so there's no need to bring your own. A travel cot is available on request for those of you with young children. There is a floor standing fan in the second bedroom. You will need continental adaptors for any English appliances you bring with you. The second bedroom has two single beds, wardrobe, bedside table and matching mirror. This lovely apartment is furnished with the best quality furniture package from the highly thought of Masquemeubles emporium which also furnished the show house on this prestigious development. The patio doors lead on to the large patio which is equipped with table and chairs overlooking the garden, and communal pool area. The patio area has built-in down lighters to provide ambient lighting for your evening drinks when the sun has gone down. Cool-box with four ice packs for your jolly picnics on the beach but please bring your own beach towels. The apartment is strictly non smoking inside. The apartment is on the ground floor but there are four steps to the front door and nine from the patio to the lawn which may prove difficult for wheelchair users. 2011 We had to introduce a meter for the use of the air-conditioning units due to some guests taking advantage of unlimited use to run them constantly. The meter takes 1€ and 2€ coins and is very economical to run.
