Bring your boat or rent one for the ultimate in Florida lifestyle. Our community dock will accommodate a boat up to 22 feet. Like to fish? Fish right off the dock or try your luck surf fishing or book a charter with one of the local guides for a thrilling day of sport fishing or backwater challenges. Trout, Redfish, Snook, Tarpon and Grouper are just a few of the many species that call our waters home.

Don Pedro Island (aka Palm Island) is a barrier island and a stones throw from the mainland. You’ll arrive via a short car ferry ride that takes about three minutes. Our island has a terrific resort that offers a casual restaurant, ice cream/deli shop, sundries store and a pirate show for the kids. The island is almost all single family homes so you’ll quickly find it has a pristine 'non-commercial' family feel. There are no large high-rise resorts, beach bars or traffic and noise. If you’re looking for that place in the sun that you can actually hear the wind whistle through the palms - you’ve found your place.

Off island you’ll be close to restaurants, shops, golf courses and world famous Boca Grande as well as other attractions. As we like to say... civilization is close but not too close. Boca Grande offers exclusive shopping, dining and sightseeing. By boat you can reach Cayo Costa Island State Park and Cabbage Key where Jimmy Buffet was inspired to write 'Cheeseburger In Paradise.' Do it all, or do nothing at all, that’s the “island” lifestyle. It’s laid back, always casual (leave your tie at home) and Florida at its best.

We live in New Jersey and have been traveling to the Gulf Coast beaches for our recreation and vacations for over 15 years. The boating is fantastic and our time with our family has created a bunch of fond memories for us. Most Florida beaches are overbuilt and congested – it's hard to find a beach with so few people and so underdeveloped. Quite refreshing to say the least. We chose Don Pedro Island (Palm Island) for the natural beauty and 'Old Florida' feel. This chain of islands just may be the last true Florida beach you can walk down (7 miles long) and hardly see another person. We also liked that there are no beach bars and no high-rise buildings. It is the best of Old Florida, natural, unspoiled and a genuine paradise.

Why Diane, owner chose Florida South Central Gulf Coast

We decided to purchase a home here for the unspoiled beauty of the island and the area in general. Englewood is a low-key Old Florida 'beach town' that reminds you of how Florida looked many years ago, without the huge high-rise condominiums and massive hotels clogging the beach. There are plenty of local 'home-grown' shops and restaurants and the fishing is some of the best in world. The beaches are fantastic and the boating is world-class. If you are looking for a great family area that is close to everything, but far away from the congestion, traffic and noise, you'd be hard pressed to find a better place. The only way to get on and off the island is by a 3 minute car ferry ride. Having no bridge to the island allows for a semi-private atmosphere and keeps beach going traffic to an absolute minimum. The island is all residential other than the resort area at the north end of Palm Island which offers a quality restaurant, deli and ice cream shoppe and small convenience store. Most all of the island traffic is by golf cart.

What makes this townhome unique

Staying on the island is not for everyone. If you like lots of places to shop, tourist attractions, beach bars and chain restaurants, this isn't the place for you. On the other hand, if you are looking for uncrowded and unspoiled beaches, great kayaking, fishing and dipping your toes in the Gulf of Mexico, this may be just the place. It's for a couple or family that wants some serious down-time ... a place to unplug and recharge your batteries and enjoy some great family time. Our house is pet-friendly with laminate floors and carpet upstairs, with two Gulf Front porches along with a smaller deck downstairs. You'll also enjoy the community pool and tennis courts if you're so inclined. We are also the end unit with some great views of the pool area and added privacy. The beach is right out your door and literally steps to the Gulf of Mexico! It's a truly amazing place.

Beach front paradise

Beautiful gulf front townhouse on a very private island

Patio, nice kitchen, pool, good size bedrooms

You are directly on the beach enjoying the sea, amasing sunset, turtle...

We rented the golf cart and bought too many ferry ride for the car

Owner's Response: Yes the ferry takes a bit of planning I can recommend ways to save $ based on your vacation plans. I also refund guest for any unused ferry passes.

Amazing Beach Experience!

Our family of three which included my wife and 17 year old daughter (and yellow lab!) enjoyed a fantastic Fall Break on Don Pedro Island ! It included ALL the essentials needed for our week-long beach retreat-- kayaks, bicycles, beach chairs, and TRANQUILITY!!! Usually we saw no more than 8 people on the beach at anytime during the day with a FANTASTIC VIEW of the Gulf of Mexico!! We enjoyed several sunrises from the bayside dock, and priceless sunsets each evening while sitting on our beachfront porch!!! Dolphin were a commonplace sighting , and the ocean water was the PERFECT temperature with no undertow or rip rides. The house was well stocked with everything a family would require to maximize the coastal living experience with a recently renovated kitchen and beautiful furnishings throughout the entire home. The beachside pool was SO RELAXING and a mere few steps away from our screened in porch. Diane is very well-organized providing any and all details needed to plan for a fun-filled vacation. We would love to return to this amazing beach when we have another chance to enjoy this area of the Gulf coast.

Great Vacation!

Was our first trip to Don Pedro Island and was a wonderful experience. The condo was roomy, very clean and well decorated. Enjoyed the beautiful sunsets from the screened porch. Have never seen such abundant wildlife. We enjoyed having the dock to ourselves-plenty of room for our boat, and had fun on our daily boat trips. Manatees swam right in front of the condo, close to shore, and a friendly dolphin visited with us when we were fishing from our boat near Boca Grande. Would definitely love to come back--next time in fall, when it is cooler! Thanks, Diane, for all your help-was a great vacation!

JUST GETS BETTER!

This is our second year here. Same time, same place. We are always making plans for the next year when we're here. This place is AWESOME. Everything you need at your fingertips in this condo. The beach and sunsets are amazing. Never crowded and that's the BEST part of it all. I thought the dolphins and manatees were even more plentiful this year than last year. We were within hands reach of manatees. Don't forget the gofer tortoise. We saw them everyday down below from the porch. Pretty amazing to watch them and see how really quick they are. This is a place EVERYONE should visit!!!!

Piece of paradise!

I can't say enough about how amazing our trip was to this condo and Palm Island. Check in was a breeze because the helpful property manger met my husband at the door! My husband pulled our boat down from Atlanta. He launched the boat at the marina next door to the ferry and boated to the condo owned dock. He left his truck and boat trailor at the marina all week so he never even boarded the ferry. Using the golf cart, we unloaded all our luggage from the boat. The dock has a water hook up and power. Our only complaint was that the power was not working at the dock during the week we were there. The path to the dock is just across the sand road from the condo. The condo storage room is fully stocked with plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, pool noodles, sand toys & boogie boards. The outdoor shower was immaculately clean and a life saver for all the sandy bottoms! There is also a small outdoor sink and counter top with power on the bottom deck. The lower deck also has a foot wash, a hose and a dining table and chairs. The inside pictures are great but the actual space is even more amazing! The decor and paint colors are beautiful. All of the bathrooms are newly updated and spacious. The kitchen has everything you can imagine; including a crock pot, Electric grill, plenty of pots and pans, glassware and tons of extra silverware! Bring your own paper plates and cups, because who wants to do dishes on vacation?! You should also bring your own plastic food storage bags, tin foil, extra garbage bags and extra paper towels. There are 5-6 nice beach towels in the condo. Under the stairs is a very comfortable sleeper couch. Our 10 year old son slept there all week. The wall of slider window/doors look out over the beach and water. We couldn't get enough of the beautiful view! The screen porch has a dining table and 4 chairs that we dined at several nights while watching the sun go down over the ocean.There is also a towel drying rack on the porch and we found a foldable drying rack in the hall closet for drying bathing suits. Upstairs are two queen bedrooms & 2 full baths. The master deck is a great place to watch the "turtle people" mark the nests at night. We golf carted to the ice cream shop & dinner 1 nightThe tarpon were rolling in Boca pass but weren't eating. We caught several snook in Stump Pass and right off our beach. Manatees greeted us while we were kayaking just off the beach. We hope that we can make it back to this piece of paradise! It was amazing!

A little slice of heaven!!!

Absolutely beautiful....from the moment we stepped foot on Palm island!! It is all pristine, from the beaches to the unit, the island and all the people we met. The unit was well appointed with Everything you need. Property was clean and well maintained, and owner was very responsive to each and every request. Would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a quiet getaway...we never left the island.
