Tired of renting small, outdated houses on the Island? Enjoy the abundant space and current design of our beautifully furnished property for a relaxing vacation retreat. Perfect for family gatherings or for multiple families seeking a balance between togetherness and individual space, this 5 bedroom, 5 bath, designer duplex can accommodate up to 15 people, and is ideally located just one block from the famous “Ruby Beach” and one block from the Balboa Island Ferry, which takes you to the Fun Zone and larger surfing and boogie board beaches. Also, just half a block away is the Balboa Island Park, with tot lot and basketball court.

The front house has a master suite with king bed, a second bedroom with queen bed, and an awesome downstairs “bunk room” that can easily fit 5 kids. The back house has a master suite with king bed, and a second bedroom with 2 double beds.

Both units feature air conditioning, walk-in closets, inside laundry, and luxurious towels and linens. Other amenities include flat-screen TVs with DVR and Blu-Ray players, Wi-Fi internet, outdoor patio spaces with gas-fired grills, a 2-car garage, and a dedicated covered parking space. The house comes fully loaded with beach chairs, board games, movies, books, and all the household necessities you’d want in your own home.

Loved the home for the week!! Perfect for celebrating my husband's birthday with all the family!

We rented this stunning home for the week in order to have our kids and grandkids join us to celebrate my husband's birthday. My husband had gone to UCI years ago and had lived on Balboa Island and we had met at college in So Cal so it was fun to get back and share the experience of the area with our kids. The location of the house was perfect. We were just a half block to the Balboa Ferry which we took each day over to Newport Beach Area.

In the morning we would walk down to main street, grab a coffee and pastry (the area has so many quaint cafe's, bakeries and shops!) and then walk around the Island. So beautiful! So relaxing! The people are so friendly and welcoming!

The home accommodated our gang perfectly and was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were cozy, plenty of towels for everyone, great space for socializing. There's a grill available for use and was perfect for grilling out one night. There was even beach toys, beach chairs and beach towels available for use on the days we headed over to Newport Beach. So helpful when traveling by plane and not able to bring all that beach stuff.

Our kids loved their time here. We will definitely be back! Thank you Stephanie for all your help in making our time at your beach home so special!

The property is very well located and could not have been better for our large group

Being on Agate allows quick access to the ferry and the Balboa Peninsula, as well as Ruby Street beach. Very happy with the condition and layout of the property. Would love to stay there again.

Wonderful home; great location to ferry and island activities

We were celebrating family birthdays and anniversaries and booked this house for 4 nights. The house was immaculate when we arrived and it had everything we needed to be comfortable plus enough sleeping space for everyone. The location couldn't have been better; just a lovely walk

to Marine St. for shopping and dining plus ferry access for access to the beach and fun zone (for the teenagers). Loved it and Stephanie couldn't have been more helpful. We will be back again!!

Perfect for Family Celebrations

We rented the Agate home & back unit for a week in June 2016 for my Father's 80th Birthday. My parents rented the home (different owner) on the corner - so it was like we had a 'family compound'. I preferred our home to the neighbors ... we enjoyed the upgraded kitchen appliances, larger living room with plenty of seating for the family to lounge around and bedroom configurations. The beds and bedding were comfy and cozy.

Baby / Toddler: We appreciated the baby items, stroller, pack n' play and highchair. The Beach toys were a hit.

Dining: The outdoor dining table in the front for the morning & lunch, the table in the back perfect for dinner and the kitchen table in the house roomy.

Parking: Having the two-car garage and the carport was essential as parking on the street can be difficult.

Location: Is great, a block from the Ferry, walking distance to Marine Ave. (the main street on the island). Away from the traffic near Marine Ave. Close to the Beach - great for walking.

Activities: We did Stand-up Paddle Board through "Island Paddleboard" on Marine Ave., they are very friendly and transported the boards to / from the beach.

The only negative which is not specific to this property but to the area in general is construction going on across the street and John Wayne airport, the airplanes begin flying at 7:00am - this is a Newport Beach issue. You actually get used to the airplane noise and construction will not go on forever. Even with these minor issues - we look forward to renting this home again in the near future.

I highly recommend this property and working with Stephanie was great, she responded in a timely manner to my inquiries, very friendly and professional.

If you can get on their calendar - rent this home - you will not be disappointed, you'll have a great time and don't forget the sunscreen!

Fun Family Vacation

Our family rented this house for a week in July. The main house and back house comfortably fit our extended family of 14 - ages 7 to 75. The main house kitchen and family room worked well as our main hub of activity. We were in walking distance from the ferry, and we were also close to the shoreline for fishing, swimming and paddle boarding. The house was clean and updated. We had everything we needed, and the owner's responded promptly when we requested more towels. Having a garage and extra parking space were extremely valuable on Balboa Island. We had a wonderful vacation and can't wait to come back here again!

Amazing Vacation Spot

My family rented this house for a week in July. It is perfectly located from the North Bay in one direction and the ferry to the pennisula in the other direction, just a few blocks from restaurants and shopping and was immaculate upon arrival! We loved the front patio! We had 8 adults and three kids and there was plenty of room for everyone. Loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The guest house was great for the teenagers in the group. We will definitely be back!
