About the property

Royal Palm Suite is on the bottom floor of the home. It has it's own private entry with a Queen bed, a Sleeper couch that makes into a queen bed, Cable tv, wifi, full bathroom, closet, kitchenette area. Full size refrig.,microwave, toaster oven, induction cook top and coffee maker and grinder to brew the famous Kona coffee. There is coin operated washer & dryer in a common room. Outside has a gazebo, table, chairs and a bbq for those who like to grill. There is plenty of off street parking behind the home. The home is situated so that you get the ocean breezes and can hear the waves crashing on the shoreline when the surf is up. We are between Magic Sands Beach and Snorkel Beach (Kahalu'u beach) and both are within walking distance if you just want to hang out at local Beaches. We are also only one mile from Keauhou Center which has a Grocery store, Restaurants, Post office, Theater, Medical facility's, and a farmers market on Saturday mornings, even has music and dance performances on some weekends. You have the beach front town of Kona 5 minutes down Alii Dr. in the other direction which has lots of shops to browse through, restaurants and locations to sign up for activities such as a luau, tours, snorkeling trips, surf lessons, submarine rides, Charters for Big Game fishing and much more, all of this is along the ocean front.

There is two transit systems that run by on Alii dr. making them very accessible. Kona has the most beautiful sunsets, you will see the locals and tourists parked along side of the roads to watch for the green flash as the sun goes over the horizon.

We now have a place where we can accommodate others to come and enjoy what we have found to be paradise.

Very good location!

We just came back form Kona last week and we had a really good stay at David's place. The room was really clean and we had the kitchen equipped with all we needed. He offered us beach towels that were really helpful (we did not bring any with us), snorkel equipment, boogie boards. David is a very friendly host and he is willing to help with information about the area and activities that are of interest. If we will visit Big Island again we will consider staying at his place again. Thank you very much for everything!

Very happy with this rental

Very clean, cozy, equipt with basic essentials (beach towels, snorkel gear, kitchen items, parking spot, coin-op washing machine/dryer). The bed was VERY comfortable and ceiling fan kept room at a cool temp. Close to Kona nightlife and two beaches w/in walking distance. Owner was friendly and available to answer questions as he lives nearby. I will definitely stay here again. Mahalo nui loa.

GREAT!

We just got back from Kona after an 11 night stay here. This place was great! David was a perfect host. The house is 3 units on the lower floor with his daughter living upstairs. There is no A/C but you don't need it because you just open up the bi-fold doors to the screened in walls and let the nice breeze keep you just right at night. David has beach gear and towels for you to use. The house is just a 2 minute drive to one of the best snorkeling beaches on the island. You can hear the waves crash on the shore at night. There is one house between you and Alii Drive, one house on the other side of Alii Drive and then the ocean. We will be back!
