13 Palms is located in Cathedral City's popular upper Cove, it is private and relaxing and offers you the perfect vacation home in the desert.

This lovely, modern home is an oasis in the desert and is conveniently situated for central access to the airport, and only minutes from several golf courses, Mesquite Country Club, Palm Springs International, Tahquitz River Golf Course, and Indian Canyons. We have easy access to nearby Trader Joe’s, Starbucks, and Target and at the bottom of the hill, an IMAX theatre.

Three bedrooms, two with Queen beds and one with a California King Bed and 2 full baths easily accommodate our guests. One full bath serves two bedrooms, a Queen and a King, both are spacious and have 39 inch flat screen high definition Vizio televisions served with Direct TV. The King Bedroom also has a spacious sitting room and access to our beautiful private salt water heated pool. The second bathroom is a 5 piece bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and separate spacious shower and double vanity. It serves our large and well-appointed double queen bedroom. The room has a lovely gas fireplace for those cool evenings and mounted above it is a 50 inch Vizio flat screen Hi Definition TV served with Direct TV. This beautiful bedroom also has direct access to our covered patio and lovely salt water pool and has its’ own heating and cooling system. Cook in our beautiful and modern kitchen and enjoy dinner in the open dining area with views out to the masterfully landscaped yard filled with mature cactus and flowering greenery and our fabulous tall palms or step outside and cook on our infrared natural gas grill and enjoy dinner in the private courtyard just off our dining room.

In this newly renovated home, you can enjoy the privacy of your own suite and share our beautiful, open and well-appointed living room. Light the gas fireplace on those chilly evenings and sit back and watch the crystal clear 50 inch Visio Hi Definition flat screen TV over the fireplace. In the mornings take a swim in the pool, work out in our pool house we have converted to a practical and well equipped gym, then enjoy breakfast in the bistro area of our bright and inviting modern kitchen. In the evening, take your appetizers poolside and hang out in the comfortable shaded patio area while the day winds down.

Glimpsing the mountains across the pool courtyard and palm trees, you can plan your next day's adventures. That could be hiking on the nearby hiking trails, a bike ride along the desert trails, or a drive to one of the many nearby attractions. There is great bird-watching, for those so inclined, the hummingbirds are always around the yard and outside your windows and while hiking you can see Krestrels, Asian ring-necked doves, American and Lesser Goldfinches, and once in a while a roadrunner.

Relax after your day of desert adventures in our quiet and private courtyard. The completely fenced courtyard is beautifully landscaped, has plenty of comfortable lounging furniture, and the salt water pool is perfect for exercising or just a cool dip.

The Cove has no street lights in order not to obstruct the view of the clear night sky, and sometimes the silence is deafening, but we are not cut off from the world, the house includes wireless internet and Direct TV to all of our 4 large flat screen high definition TV’s.

Cathedral City Cove is uniquely complete in its own right and has a lot of nearby dining and entertainment. It is minutes away from the Palm Springs airport with easy access to the bars, and restaurants of Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage and Palm Desert, and the Palm Springs Aerial Tram is just minutes away.

Start your vacation day with coffee in the kitchen or on either patio, and then close it down with cool drinks poolside. With the entire Choachella Valley calling you, and a lovely home to relax in, we invite you to escape to the desert and enjoy what the beautiful Valley has to offer.

About Ronald Lutz

Ron and Jeremy have been investing together since 2008. They have another long term rental in Cathedral City and a beautiful B and B in Pierre, SD. Buying and fixing properties is not only a terrific hobby but almost an obsession. Ron is a Registered professional Engineer that preforms bridge inspections all over the United States and Jeremy has his MBA and is the business manager of the Engineering firm where Ron is employed.

We love this area, it is a small town feeling with big city amenities. We love the desert and in particular the Cat City Cove. We have been searching for that perfect property for some time now and this one fits the bill. Spacious nice house with a secluded and private courtyard.

What makes this house unique

The views are fantastic here. There are no street lights and the night skies glisten with the stars. The neighborhood is quite and friendly, and it is so cool to be able to see the light at the top of the tram from our kitchen window and back courtyard.

Perfect!

Ron's house is perfect! Home is beautiful, backyard is wonderful with plenty of hummingbirds, birds and butterflies in and out of the flowers. Pool was sparkling and patio had plenty of seating. My family and I had a week of rest, relaxation and swimming. Couldn't have been better. Thank you Ron.

Relaxing and private

We stayed at Ron's lovely home for 2 months this winter and it was well worth it. The beds were wonderful, the kitchen well equipped and the artwork beautiful. The backyard was well fenced, completely private and the pool nicely heated. We had one issue with the toilet and Manuel was there right away and fixed us right up. The furniture was quite low which made it a little difficult for some of the family to get up and down and the network was quite slow at times, but overall we were very happy with our stay. The location was great, within a short drive to shopping, dining and a movie theatre in a quiet neighborhood of nice homes. We'd happily visit again!

Wonderful Desert Home

My family and I just returned home from a month long stay at Rons vacation rental.The house was clean with lots of space for everyone. One bedroom and bathroom are away from the rest which gives privacy if you have a group.Everything was as described in the listing. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had nearly everything, even spices and condiments. It could use some tea towels and dish cloths though.The house is in a quiet area, but yet close to everything. Easy access to main roads, the airport, shopping, restaurants, etc.We really injoyed the backyard pool and spa.It was very private and cozy! The landscaping is beautiful. Mario (the property manager) is very friendly and does and exellent job of keeping things looking great!He even helped us by covering a couple cacti while our grandchildren were visiting.(they're not used to thorny plants) ha,ha!

Comfortable and pleasant stay.

We were very pleased that the description was just as expected and it seemed that pictures did not do it justice. As we have always found, it was clean and comfortable. We loved that it was just in the perfect location, far enough away from the hustle to be peaceful yet close enough to everything. Neighborhood was peaceful and in August with some of the hottest weather we were always comfortable inside or in the wonderful pool area. Wish we would have been able to stay longer. Next time we will.

Great area, nice house!

Just spent a couple of weeks in Palm Springs and this house accommodated 4 adults nicely. The house is in a nice area and has easy access to airport and all major roads. Home was maintained but of course had a few things that could have upgraded such as pool furniture and landscaping completed. Pool area is very private. Ron the owner is incredible and Mario, the contractor that looks after the property is pretty incredible too. they both made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible.
