Great Camp/Cottage on Seneca Lake 200 ft Private Beach/Private Dock/Campfires
About Theresa Woodland
Our Vintage Camp/Cottage was our summer home for many a year. Since moving to Watkins Glen and purchasing a large estate home overlooking the lake (VRBO #589749) we thought we would let some others enjoy our hideaway on the lake. I love to cook so we put in a new kitchen and took down a wall so I could enjoy the party as much as my guests. Lots of local farm grown produce to put together that unforgettable meal. The porch is where we spend lots of time overlooking the lake. Check out the 'WELCOME TO THE PORCH' sign on your arrival. This magical camp is in a forrest like setting over looking our private beach. We have done our best to keep our Camp/Cottage a place to relax and kick back and put your feet up. The place is clean and comfortable but with unique charm that only a camp/cottage can offer.
Why Theresa Woodland chose Rock Stream
This magical cottage has been in the family for the last 90 years. In 1988 we purchase this unique camp from the family estate and have been totally over joyed to call it home for many summers when we lived in Florida. In 2011 we bought a lovely five acre estate (VRBO #589749)in the Village of Watkins Glen and to add something else on our plate a local marina (Frog Hollow Marina) Since we seemed to be very busy with our projects we decided to rent our cottage and let others enjoy this special spot. Our Camp/Cottage is situated in a private forest like setting. We have two acres with 200 ft of private beach with fire pit, kayakas and hugh dock for entertaining. True relaxation in a private setting. Check out the sign at the cottage 'At The Lake We Forget To Count The Days'!

Great Location and Great Vistas!
We had a lovely time at this cottage. It had a great beach area and a wonderful deck as well as everything you could need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this super cute cottage on Seneca Lake. We had our own dock for fishing and lots of privacy. The place was super clean and included many necessities like home. Very close to all local wineries and Watkins Glen. We loved our stay!
Super Cute Lake Coutage!
We stayed here for a long summer weekend and had a fabulous time. The cottage is perfect for two couples looking to get away for the weekend. We loved looking at the lake and hearing the waves overnight as well as kayaking. The cottage is about 7 miles from Watkins Glen where there is a grocery store, restaurants and gas stations. We absolutely loved our stay and would book with Theresa again in a beartbeat!
A great spot on a beautiful lake.
The cottage is exactly as pictured—comfy and cozy—and the view is spectacular in all directions. The neighbors are great too! The porch is wonderful and there are double doors that open from the living room to the porch. The beds are very comfortable. The washer and dryer are outside in the back of the house, and work just fine. We used the two kayaks several times each day. At night, we had a terrific view of the Perseid meteor shower from the dock!
What a treat to have a private dock and beach; loved the screened-in porch overlooking Seneca Lake. Two couples and a dog had a lovely stay and would recommend for anyone needing a relaxing vacation.
Incredibly relaxing vacation!
My husband, 7-year-old son, mother-in-law, and I stayed at the cottage for a week over the 4th of July. It was relaxing and beautiful. The kitchen and bedrooms were just the right size. The window air conditioner unit and fans saved the day (and night), because we were there during a VERY hot week. My son and husband loved using the kayaks, and we swam almost every day. We had the opportunity to meet the owners one day -
they are very sweet people, and responsive to questions. A few caveats: the bottom of the lake is covered in the sharp quagga mussels, so be sure to wear water shoes or sandals in the water, even when swimming in deep water. Also, the washer and dryer are outside, and I had to clean up the dryer a bit before using it for nicer clothes. I would highly recommend this cottage; we are already talking about going back next year!
