Time evaporates as you gaze over the water at the unobstructed sweeping view, magnificent sunsets, full moon over the water, and snow capped Olympic Mountains.
When the tide is in you feel like you're on a boat, when the tide is out you can walk for miles. There’s great clamming, fishing, crabbing, or strolling on the sandy beach just outside your living room door. Relax on the comfy deck chaises; watch nature’s show of bald eagles, great blue herons, and egrets. You'll become mesmerized by the tide working its way in or out. There’s absolutely nothing like beach front!
We furnished our house with comfort in mind. The upstairs has Pottery Barn furniture . The living room has a large sectional sofa and large reclining leather chair.
The master bedroom/bath which is upstairs, by itself, has a king-size bed.
Three bedrooms are in the day light basement. The second bedroom has a queen bed, the third bedroom and fourth bedrooms have two twin beds in each.
The house is about 3200 square feet, with 5 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, two family rooms, and an open floor plan all in a sunny, southern exposure.
Our house is 90 minutes from Seattle including the spectacular (car) ferry ride. We are 12 minutes from the ferry and 12 minutes from Langley. Whidbey Island is a bucolic paradise that has many interesting shops, local theater, movie theatres, art galleries, antique stores, gardens, and great restaurants including the world class restaurant at the Inn at Langley. There’s hiking, golfing, horse back riding as well as bike, kayak and boat rentals; an abundance of activities for everyone. Don’t overlook the numerous State Parks and especially the old growth walk at South Whidbey State Park. There are many seasonal festivals and two Farmer’s Markets.
Check in is at 4 pm and check out is at 11 am.
You are a family of 4 people and 2 crazy dogs who love the outdoors.
Judy Mansour purchased this house in 2012
We chose this spectacular location because of its proximity to Seattle and the breathtaking views. The wonderful walks up and down our very flat street, gives guests the opportunity to mingle with the locals.
It is on the beach.
Your home just does something to me. I can relax like no where else there. We had 6 kids and us at one time but it didn't even phase me. ( really rare for me). I can't tell you how much I appreciate being able to bring our Riley. It was just beautiful every single day I was on the deck from sunrise to sunset reading, knitting or just staring.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Excellent experience! We went for a long weekend in May and could not have chosen a better property. The local is unparalled. The bay is gorgeous and calm, wonderful for kayaking at high tide) very shallow for a long ways, so super easy for kids to be self-sufficient), and amazing for beach strolling and exploring at low tide. The kids built huge forts with driftwood, and collected sand dollars at low tide. The dog must have run 10 miles on the big sand flats at low tide. The house is so accommodating for a family or large group. Updated (and very well appointed) kitchen with open sitting area (views!) and large dining room table. There's another living room area with a huge L shaped couch and big TV for evenings. Many beds and plenty of room to sleep the whole gang. Owner was so easy to communicate with and was immediately responsive when I had a question upon arrival. This is one of those places I'll bookmark and return to.
Third year for our three families enjoying this well laid out/clean/roomy house - on the beach - kids from 7 years to 1 year, so family friendly.
Clean, airy, spacious beach house perfect for families to cook together, play games and spread out when they need a break from each other. We loved the easy access from the ferry and the good stretch of beach to walk on. We "discovered" the cool children's playroom and sleeping quarters only as we were leaving.
This was a perfect getaway for a women's gathering to celebrate a big birthday. Close to Langley and local restaurants. Plenty of room for gathering for meals, visiting and enough room for private spaces. Picturesque view of local beach, this waterfront property provided birdwatching, beach combing, and photo ops all day long with the changing tides. There was a burn ban so we could not have a fire as we had hoped. Pretty much everything we needed was provided to make it a wonderful time.
My five year old grandson, on our way home, "We have to do that more often!! What does more often mean?" Exactly, but it means, we will definitely do this again!!
When you enter the residence, you're taken aback by the lovely, open, spaciousness of the main room as it opens to wall-to-wall windows that provide breathtaking views of the cliffs and water. The home is cozy, and has all of the ammenities that one could imagine. If you're looking for a home to share with other families for entertaining, it's perfect. If you just want some quiet time and to relax and unwind for a couple of days, it's ideal as well. We created a small campfire outside and roasted some s'mores and enjoyed lovely walks around the town and local restaurants, views, and of course, Whidbey Ice Cream! The location of the home is optimal as it's near the town area while you also have all that you would need at the home itself, as the walks and views outside of the home are breathtaking!
