Why Robin Eisenhour chose Anahola
The Anahola Bay Cottage is a very special home, in the old plantation style and very reminiscent of Old Hawaii. New to vacation rentals, our family acquired the cottage in May 2014 to share the beauty of the Bay with other families, visitors, malahini and kamaaina alike!
What makes this House unique
Anahola Beach Cottage is set in a quiet village beach neighborhood on the northeast shores of Kauai. It is a beautiful plantation style home with serenity and local feel. We fell in love with the cottage for its authenticity and the incredible beauty and privacy of Anahola Bay.

Convenient and genuinely Hawaiian
Great location very close to the beach. Well organized for guests. Authentic Hawaiian atmosphere. Large space to enjoy
2nd Time at Anahola
We stayed at this home in 2017 and enjoyed so much we booked again. Love being on the east side with easy driving distance to Hanalei, Poipu, etc. The proximity to the beach can't be beat-our kids preferred this beach to any other! Great outdoor space and sleeping spaces for our party of 8. We did notice an increase in traffic at all hours of the night back and forth to the Kumu Beach Camp. Use common sense and lock things up - we had some things taken from the back yard. Check in process is very easy - Darren & Robin clearly communicate what to expect. We did miss the paddleboard, kayak and use of bungalow on this trip, but talk with Gaven at the surf shack by the beach.
Anahola home away from home
Perfect location for our holiday. The house was the perfect size for our family of 7. Very well stocked with anything you might need for making meals. Loved the back yard and spent a lot of time at the beach. Roosters were a bit noisy in the early morning but enjoyed seeing all of the chickens and local cats that came around. Loved our Island home.
Great house for a family vacation. Nice quiet neighborhood within a short walk to the beach. We really enjoyed the seclusion and privacy of the property. Just far enough away from the beach to be sheltered from the coastal winds with plenty of outdoor shelter from the occasional rain. Kitchen is fully equipped. The beach is great for swimming and soaking in the sun.
Overall very nice experience.
Great time. Great walk to ocean. Easy access to all of Kauai. All as stated in ad. Even found tahitian dance competition in nearby town. Could have used additional air conditioners throughout house and bedrooms. But would stay there again if i get the chance.
Rustic but perfect for a beach vacation
We very much enjoyed our stay in Anahola; the house was just what we needed. If you want top of the line furnishings and appliances, then this isn’t for you. If you want a very functional, comfortable home that is well supplied with beach equipment, with a huge backyard, in a quiet neighborhood, spacious enough for a large group, and a short walk to a gorgeous beach, then this is the place for you. The only flaw was that there isn’t AC in all rooms. For the most part it wasn’t an issue, because there are a lot of fans. We would definitely rent this property again. My family loved it!
Anahola is a mostly Native Hawaiian village, and in ancient times was a hub for fishing and small farms.
