Hi there! I'm a house/all-things-design lover with an occasional bout of electronics/amazon addictive behavior. Love making sure I've played with the lasted home audio, automation, lighting, A/V ... basically anything that can be controlled via my iPhone, iPad or Mac.
I'm a serial-entrepreneur and heavy traveler, so love having others enjoy the place while I'm gone.
Hope to get to meet soon. By the way, I have an awesome 'team' of folks here in Louisville who are the really smart ones ... so, regardless of my travels or general disorientation, they always make sure the house is clean and guest-ready, yard is looking great; towels are fluffed, coffee's ready for the morning, and guests are always happy.
Bob purchased this apartment in 1995
Ahhhh, where to begin ... the Carriage House is, for me, an 'escape in the trees.' This spot really has it all. Including beautiful, mature tree-lined streets and alleys, the city's best park and trail system and a couple blocks' walk to the best restaurants, shops, nightclubs and culture the city has to offer.
You're also only minutes from downtown, the Ohio River, Churchill Downs and the world's most famous horse race! Plus, be sure to plan to schedule a Distillery Tour ... you can sample bourbon at restaurants within blocks and plan day-trip visits to some of the most famous distilleries such as Maker's Mark, Woodford Reserve and more. The list is too long to mention here, but don't forget to add the Louisville Slugger bat factory, Muhammad Ali Center, Museum Row, Belle of Louisville Steamboat cruise ... just ask us for suggestions or help planning the perfect visit.
I've had an amazing response to the venture into sharing my home - and have met some amazing folks in the process. Even those I don't get to meet personally - but who share their great experiences of my place and 'hood are super-rewarding. Our calendar has been pretty busy, so if you're looking at available dates - let me know how I can help you get confirmed.
Look forward to talking to you soon - and helping you plan an awesome visit to 'the 'ville.' Bob
Bob was fantastic and really committed to ensure that we enjoy our stay. As foreigners to the US we were a bit lost but Bob overcome the international communications challenge and made sure we get to the right place. Thanks Bob!! The place itself was what we expected and completely fulfilled our expectations. Nice, clean and well placed. Good work Bob!
Worked perfect for our group and very nice location. +++++
Property was in great shape. Everything we needed was right there! Even down to an extra toothbrush that one of us forgot. Thank you!
We visit Louisville frequently and the Carriage House is in a fantastic location. It's the perfect size for us, too. Everything was ready for us when we arrived and working with Bob was very easy. We had a lovely visit to one of our favorite cities and we'd definitely stay at the Carriage House again.
We had a great time in Louisville and couldn't have found a better location for our visit! The Cherokee Triangle is beautiful with the older homes and lush gardens and very close to excellent food and bars. It is also close a short drive to the riverfront and Churchill Downs.
We have stayed in several HomeAway properties all over the world and have seldom had such a well-equipped property. The gift basket was a very nice touch! I have family in Louisville and when I visit again, I will be sure and stay in this property if it is available.
Perfect location with friendly neighbors and beautiful park nearby. The breakfast basket was a nice surprise, will definitely be coming back!
And actually not that little, although it was just the two of us and our chihuahua. Neighborhood is quiet, but an easy walk to the action on Bardstown.
Don't miss Lilly's Bistro for dinner & a fine bourbon list.
