Overview

Arkansas Cabin Rental Photos and Description

This property is a private cabin, not a resort. Great location, great view.

Your cabin is designed to be affordable for just a single couple ($165) , or two couple ($235), or even three couple ($305) , and possibly 8 guests, if two guests don't mind sleeping on a comfortable roll out double bed. The base amount is $165 for two guests, and extra guests are $35 per guest per night. The main floor consists of a large living room/bedroom and bath, and a full kitchen with conversation area (with the roll out bed). The new 14' x 34' deck overlooks a view of Beaver Lake (one of the most pristine lakes in America) that will leave you speechless. Downstairs there are two additional bedrooms and bath. A washer and drier are available, but guests must provide their own detergent, softener, etc. Just outside is a beautiful downstairs deck also with a great view. The hot tub is the perfect relaxer, you will sleep like a baby. There is a one time hot tub fee of $50 that covers our heating and chemical costs. So when you book, be sure to declare if you wish to use the Hot Tub, and it will be up and running for you when you arrive. Nestled in the trees is a new fire ring, and includes a supply of logs for your fire. The wooded four acres the cabin sits on is filled with wildlife. From red fox to white tail deer, opossum and bobcat. Up above you will see woodpeckers, hawks, eagles, and turkey vultures, not to mention a variety of song birds.

There's a boat launch ramp just down the hill, a marina around the corner, and a dam site park minutes away. There's even trout fishing or canoeing on the white river adjacent to the dam. In town, you will find all sorts of entertainment, from a new zip line ride, to a wild animal shelter with lions, tigers, and bears ....... 'Oh My!' You can even take a dinner car ride on the old steam engine train from yesteryear. Our shops and restaurants are over the top with quality and uniqueness. And if you really want a treat, get Jack to take you on his special tour of Eureka Springs, you will love it.

About Jack Cross

Jack first came to Eureka in the early 70's as a hippie and fell in love with this magical town. It's not about money in Eureka Springs, it's about lifestyle, Jack will tell you, and what a lifestyle it is. His love of the outdoors, fishing, hiking, and all sorts of water sports, make Jack a happy camper. He has great stories, and if you are lucky enough to spend time with him, he will be sure an tell you a few. Most of all, Jack loves people as you will see. He will do whatever it takes to make sure you enjoy this place he calls paradise.

Jack Cross purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Jack Cross chose Arkansas

I've wanted this cabin ever since Evelyn and I first saw it 40 years ago. So when the opportunity presented its self, we couldn't help ourselves. The cabin needed work, and we gave it what it needed. It was a dream 40 years ago, but a reality today. A magic little cabin.

What makes this cabin unique

We adjusted its design so it not only can accommodate three couples, but can be minimalized to be affordable for just a single couple. The deck is fantastic, as is the spectacular view of Beaver Lake, and I promise if you use the hot tub, you will sleep like a baby.

Don't pass up this view!

  • 5 of 5

I was a little weary of renting this cabin due to the price, but you absolutely get what you pay for with this one. The view of Beaver Lake from the back deck is absolutely beautiful! We spent several hours our first night just staring off into the distance. If you're looking to disconnect from your life back home, this is the place for you.

Our stay at this cabin was fantastic and exactly what we wanted in a vacation home. Jack had some really great suggestions for places to visit in Eureka Springs and a general wealth of knowledge about the surrounding area. He was even kind of enough to invite us out on his pontoon!

To sum it up: the price is fair, the owner is incredibly nice and helpful, and the view will make your stress melt away!

nice property

  • 3 of 5

While being a nice place for adults there to visit the area, the house is perfect. Great views! However, it is NOT accommodating for small children nor pets. The severe drop off in the yard and the closeness of the street is hazardous.

Cabin was misrepresented, not peaceful and renters were reprimanded

  • 1 of 5

We arrived on time and the cabin was not ready. Trash was being taken out and towels were still being folded. Owner watched us unload our car. Listing shows 3 bedroom and 2 bath with washer/dryer. Both the washer/dryer and one bedroom were locked. Sheets on upstairs bedroom were dirty. Hot tub was offered as an incentive for booking early. Payment was demanded for hot tub upon arrival. Jack demeaningly gave us instruction for the cabin. Afraid to touch anything especially the grill and hot tub. Persistently called everyday to claim payment for an extended night. Drove by every day. Jack came by two nights before we were supposed to leave and told us to be out by morning. Threatened to call county sheriff. Reason for this is unknown. Not a relaxing family vacation. Will not be renting from Jack ever again.

Owner's Response: Every once in a while you get a zinger. Most of my guests are wonderful and make my life a delight. I love to suggest places to go and see, tout our local restaurants, etc. etc. Richard and his crew broke every house rule, and had a toilet overflowing before I even finished my initial walk through. I resist negative energy, so I won't drag the reader of this response through a list of the horrible deeds these people committed, but I will suggest you read all the 28 reviews, and then come enjoy this little piece of paradise. Very nice property. Stay was nice and Jack was very helpful with household and Eureka items.

The cabin is in a good location for getting around. We went fishing and it was an easy drive to the lake for shore fishing although with a little time it could be walked. It's also an easy drive to the fishery and wildlife office by the dam to get licenses. Be aware that distances are close but speeds on some of the twisty roads are slow and deer may be present.

We had 4 guests and had plenty of room. Kitchen was was good and had all the cookware, plates, glasses and utensils we needed.

The deck had the great view as shown in the pictures, very pleasant.

Jack was available if needed and clued us in on some things to do around the area. There is also a bunch of area brochures for local attractions which we used to plan the week.

Overall very nice and no complaints.

Breathtaking Views

  • 5 of 5

We recently spent 3 nights at Jack's lovely Beaver Lake cabin. The reason I booked this cabin was solely for the views from the back deck. And once I arrived there was no disappointment! You felt like you were in a totally different world. So peaceful and serene. The first place I went was to the back deck to take in all of the scenery. The cabin was very nice. It had all the amenities that anyone could ask for. Very clean and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Easy access to Eureka Springs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly recommend this cabin to anyone going to Beaver Lake to escape!
