We are finishing our renovations and have added a new pool to our beach side and added an extended terrace along side it. Photos to come. We have also made improvements all over the interior of the house and updated its look and feel.
Our beach house sits right on the beach. Breathtaking ocean and beach views can be enjoyed from the downstairs living areas and bedroom. Upstairs we have two large bedrooms with en-suites and two double beds each. The upstairs bedrooms have an attached balcony for excellent viewing of the beach and water. Even the en-suites have a view! All bedrooms have air conditioning.
Whether you've come here to swim, snorkel, dive, fish, play golf, go for long walks on the beach or just to curl up on the lounge chairs and read a book, our beach house offers an excellent location that's near to everything.
The living area is very spacious and bright. We have a fully equipped kitchen with a bar counter, dining for 8, comfortable furniture to lounge in including sofas and chairs, TV and DVD player, outdoor furniture for the patio, and lounge chairs for the beach. We also provide a kayak, life jackets and oars to keep you safe while having a blast on the water.
We have arrangements with local vendors to provide you with excellent service and rates for massage, diving, fishing and many more activities.
We can accommodate up to 8 people. Our staff of three includes a maid, gardener, and manager. Our staff is available for 6 days a week. Our maid will wash your dishes from the previous day, wash and clean the house and beds, and provide laundry service if needed. This is a family owned house and is used by our family on a yearly basis. It's designed for comfort, leisure, and quick access to the beach. We look forward to having you as our guests!
This property is amongst the few remaining beachfront properties in the area. Beachfront property is limited and we are lucky to have this and offer it to our clients.
Its proximity to the water, ruins, cenotes, and tropical environment make this an ideal get away. Your troubles and worries will melt away while visiting here. We're far enough away from the highway not to get any noise and so close to the beach that the sound of waves crashing on the beach make for a unique experience. Turtles nest right on the beach in front of our home from April to October each year. You can even book a night tour to learn more about them.
Very nice beach front house with some shady area in front.
Good for small kids to play in sand.
Great house cleaning.
You could find some spot for snorkeling on the left from the house (look for white floating ball).
Close to Akumal beach (about 10 minutes drive) where you can snorkel with sea turtles
My husband and I spent a week with our 4 children and my parents (8 total) at Casa Charalito. It was a perfect house for a great vacation. The bedrooms are spacious, air conditioned and overlook the ocean, the bathrooms are nice, and the kitchen was handy for breakfasts and lunches (we ate out for dinner). The house is situated on a quiet beach between Akumal and Tulum; we were close (5-10 minutes by car) to the tourist spots in Akumal and Tulum, but had a quiet beach at home.
The house manager, Bijan is friendly and a great resource for local sightseeing; Dora and Pedro, the housekeeper and gardener, were great.
The house included everything we needed for the week--a kayak, sand toys, life jackets, beach towels and (most importantly for my ever-working husband), a good internet connection.
My kids loved staying right on the beach where the turtles nest. We watched a 400 pound turtle bury her eggs and return to the sea.
All in all, we recommend the house highly. It was a perfect spot for us; we will be back.
We spent a week during Easter in this property and had a really good time. It was really spacious for us (we were 5 adults and 5 children) and the interiors are quite ok - the bathrooms seems newly renovated which was very nice. Since we like cooking, we made a lot of food at the house and the kitchen was ok though the dishwasher does not work - on the other hand, this is Mexico and you have people who will do the dishes and cleaning for you.... The beach is really nice though the shoreline is not really kept clean (neither from seaweed, but ok, it's nature). You need a car obviously to get here, to shop groceries and get around. But Tulum and Playacar are only 25 minutes away, so this is a "central" spot - also for going inland. The beach is shared with Tulum Oasis and Grand Principe but outside the house you are more or less alone. It is very quiet which is nice if you like that. All in all, it is fantastic to be right at the beach, the house was comfortable, the host responded quickly to any issues - so we would rent again. If our budget was bigger, surely I would add a pool and wish the kitchen was better equipped but is is all about the money ;-)
Our adult family of 6 enjoyed an amazing 2 week holiday on the shores of the Caribbean. The home sits directly on the beach with wall to wall glass sliding doors on the ground level and on the upper level - including glass window showers that overlook the turquoise waters. If you've never enjoyed the luxury of walking onto the sand and into tropical water from your doorstep, this is a great place to try it! The home is located in Akumal Adventuras which is a few km's south of the main Akumal beach and town area. We prefer to be in this quieter area which also happens to have great snorkelling and the famous turtles (in season). We didn't have a car and still enjoyed all the local sites and adventures by making the 5 minute walk up to the highway and catching collectivos for $2-3 per person to Tulum, Akumal Playa, Dos Ojos cenote etc. We also did this to enjoy the great restaurants and scene in these towns. Having a car would be nice though and make it easy to see more of the surrounding area. There is a decent restaurant right beside the house for those lazy nights in, otherwise we did a big grocery shop on the way in from the airport, and ate out in Akumal and Tulum often. The house manager Bijan, was fantastic and went out of his way to make sure everything in the house was working smoothly and that we didn't miss out on any of the local secret spots. Dora, the house cleaner, is wonderful and will ensure you don't need to worry about cleaning dishes, making your bed or all the other house chores you wish to escape! Similarly, Pedro will keep your sandy front yard and patio tidy and clean. All in all, if you are someone who enjoys tropical paradise, this is a place to check out. We'll be back!
With some of the most gorgeous beaches in the world to choose from, Riviera Maya is known for its magnetic draw to travelers from all around the world. Just about anything to do with water activities abound. Choose from swimming, snorkeling, diving, fishing, boating, paragliding, jet skiing and you can see why this area is made for fun.
There are tons of things to see, do and shop in Playa Del Carmen (only 25 minutes north) and Tulum (20 minutes south). Puerto Aventuras is even closer and there are numerous adventure parks like Xcaret, Xel-Ha (very close), Xplor and others.
This area is home to the migrating turtles from April to October. Swimmers can see them and experience their habits right here in the water. The turtles come to nest and always come back to the same beach they were born in.
Tulum Ruins is a must see. Chichenitza, Ek Balam, Coba, Muyil are also sites that need to be visited and are easy to get to.
Want to see cenotes? Cenotes are what this area is well known about. Divers and explorers come to the one place on Earth that has such a vast network of underground and above ground water holes. You can dive and swim in some like Dos Ojos. Dos Ojos has the largest network of cenotes in the area.
Many people have noticed the peace and tranquility they experience when down here and that is the number one reason we have so much re-visiting travelers.
With a car or bus, you can travel to neighbouring towns and cities like Valladolid, Merida, Chetumal, and countless little towns. You can find unique hand crafted items everywhere. Tulum is very arts oriented. There are many artists, and musicians, some very well known that come to Tulum repeatedly and some have even stayed and called Tulum their home.
If you like photography, this area is full of photo opportunities. From beautiful sunrises and sunsets, to orchids, flowers, animals and birds. Grab an underwater camera and now you're taking pictures of fish and sealife on the reef. The reef is considered the second largest in the world.
The night life is very mellow in smaller areas but if you're wanting some night time fun and excitement, head up to Playa Del Carmen to 5th Avenue. This is tourist central and there's lots to see, do, eat, drink and have fun.
