About the property

This whole cottage rental is located in the Finger Lakes wine country and is in close proximity to Wells College, Ithaca College, and Cornell University. It is on the East side of Cayuga Lake within minutes of Long Point State Park, the Village of Aurora, and Mackenzie-Childs. It's a short, and scenic commute to Seneca Falls, Ithaca, Cortland, Auburn or Skaneateles. Whether you want to hike the Gorges in Ithaca or the Trails at Long Point, take a paddle on the lake, or taste wines at several nearby wineries, there is something for everyone.

The rustic camp has three bedrooms, sleeps 6 people and has parking for up to 3 cars. We offer our guest exclusive use of a gas grill, a charcoal grill and an open fire pit. It has a eat in galley style kitchen with a microwave and range oven . There are two bathrooms. The living room has satellite tv, one couch and three chairs.

In addition to the 45 foot deck off the cottage there is an additional 25 foot patio and a dock extending 20 plus feet into the water where the sunsets can be enjoyed.

There is 100' of beachfront and two kayaks that can used as you desire. Life jackets will be provided and must worn at all times. The deck/dock has three boat hoists. One for a pontoon boat, one for a jet ski, and one for an inboard or outboard boat. However, you must provide the boat (s).

Pets are welcome, the property is fenced and gated. You are responsible for cleanup and any damage done by your pets.

Lazy Lake Relaxation and watersports fun.

Harrison's Hideaway was a great place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of life. Direct access to the lake and 2 kayaks and a bunch of floats was great. The gated off yard for the dog which was a bull mastiff was key as well. The house was rustic but there were air conditioners in every room and a separate room woth its own bathroom that had a modern flair,(this was great for the couple and newborn that stayed with us.) There was also a nice yard for a tent to be setup as well.

Around the corner a little ways is a winery and a micro- brewery to hang out and grab some sandwiches, drink some wine. Aurora is a 10 min drive away and has some good gourmet shops and a tavern with really good food.

Overall we had a great 5 days and the owners were very accommodating and answered any questions we had immediately. Definately going back next year.

Beautiful view

Stayed here for 4 nights with 6 adults. Spacious, air conditioned bed rooms, on the water. Kayaking was great. Close to park to bike ride. My only complaint is that the septic alarm went off over the weekend, so for 2 days we had to use the outside porta-john. The owner did come over to assist in fixing it, but it still went off again shortly after. Would keep this in mind if going with large group or if heavy rain expected.

Amazing views!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend while we attended a wedding. I'm so glad that we decided to forgo the traditional hotel route and stayed here. Ron couldn't have been more welcoming! (Hi Coco!) The views were absolutely amazing and we enjoyed sitting on the dock just hanging out. At night we enjoyed a bonfire near the water. This place is truly unique and I would highly recommend staying here!

Perfect family get away

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Ron's house and appreciated that we could bring our dog with us. The lake size porch converted to a bedroom was especially cozy. Ron went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable including meeting us when we arrived to show us the ropes, setting up the fire pit for us and making the house so welcoming. We enjoyed exploring Ithaca, a local winery, eating there and out, relaxing while listening to the waves . We want to come back!

Wonderful stay on Cayuga Lake!

My boyfriend and I rented the tree house along with our dog Jeter for 5 days. Ron and his dog Coco were very friendly and welcoming. The tree house was perfect for us! Accommodating, peaceful, and very cool! The balcony overlooks the lake and the dock. We enjoyed paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, riding our bikes in Long Point state park down the road, many close-by vineyards, Mackenzie-Childs pottery workshop, and geocaching all along the east side of Cayuga Lake! What a wonderful vacation. Would highly recommend this rental and plan to stay there again next year if possible!
