Private Lake - Large House (8 adults) & 2 Bunk Houses (6 kids & 2 adults)

This is our second visit with extended family and we hope to keep coming back. The lake is gorgeous and we had a great time swimming, boating and fishing. The house is well supplied with cooking stuff and dishes and is very comfortable. The new “honeymoon suite” is lovely. Bunk house is great for kids.

This was our second time back at Deer Lake again with a group of 16 of us ranging in age from 5 to 85. Bunk house is perfect for the teenagers- for late nights and sleeping in! The renovated middle cottage is modern and artistic- perfect for the couple who want to be part of all the activities, but need to escape. Main house is rustic, but much more spacious than it appears in the photos. Fun was had with the board games and the hammocks for chilling out. The private lake was once again the big hit with all in boats, swimming, and fishing. The weather was super hot (we brought fans) so we didn't use the sauna this visit. The owners were on site in separate house and so very helpful and friendly. We have stayed in many big cottages over the years- none compared to this for our needs. Thank you.

Every member of our large group, from 18 month old babies to grandparents loved this property. Many activities were possible because of amenities provided. Setting was perfect with lake beach and decks, all well maintained. Everyone noted that only natural sounds could be heard. Facilities inside were as described providing everything we needed to maintain a crowd of 14, including more silverware than I have ever seen! The large living room with huge view of lake allowed us all to gather during a rainy day without feeling shut in.

Owner most helpful providing, for example, extra firewood through the weekend and ensuring we had all we needed. Highly recommend this property which is within easy distance of Ottawa and Montreal.

Our family of 13, aged 5 to 78, LOVED this house. The dock and the deck, both overlooking the water offered lots of relaxed chat time en famille in the plentiful red Adirondack chairs - breakfast, lunch and cocktails! The views, the water, the lake itself, the privacy, the peace, exactly what we had hoped to find. The house has been designed to maximize water views from every angle infusing the living space with light and airiness. The large living room with a huge selection of games (perfect on our one rainy day), the terrific huge dining room table allowing all of us to eat together in comfort (and sturdy enough not to be damaged by our after dinner blackjack games - even the 8 year old participated!). The kitchen was ideal - the challenge of cooking and cleaning up for 13 was minimized by the large walk in pantry, 2 sinks and 2 dishwashers. The generous supply of pots, pans, cutlery, dishes, glasses, (all matching and in good condition) even cleaning products was much appreciated - everything we could possibly need was there. Plenty of beach and bath towels. The sauna was very popular on the cooler days after fishing and swimming. The availability of canoes and rowboats (with electric motors) really made the trip a huge success for the kids who were thrilled to catch fish every time they went out. The lake itself is really safe for kids, very private and quiet. We brought a blow up paddle board and a kayak, which added to the fun. All you need to bring are your clothes and your food - everything else is provided. Would love a month in this peaceful paradise.

My extended family loved our time in this comfortable, well-equipped house on a beautiful, quiet lake. It was the perfect spot for our group, which ranged in age from 17-84, to get away from it all. We enjoyed paddling, rowing, swimming, and fishing in the clear water and the less physical folks in the group enjoyed the gorgeous views. The home is not fancy, though it's well cared for, and it is quite remote, but it suited our purposes perfectly. We hope to return!
