This clean and spacious, 1089 square foot, 2016 remodeled/updated two bedroom, two bath, two lanai unit is located directly across the street from Kamaole Beach III, named one of the BEST beaches on Maui and known for good snorkeling, great body surfing, and beautiful sunsets.

This unique floor plan offers two bedrooms all on one level. Our spacious Master Bedroom has a California King Size Bed with a vaulted ceiling, wall mounted smart TV with its own private lanai. Our second bedroom has two twin beds, it's own wall mounted flat screen TV along with a private full size bathroom attached. This unique floor plan offers you a desk/office nook area located in Building #8. Updated ceramic tile bathrooms and flooring, renovated fully updated kitchen and living room area.

Enjoy the tropical trade winds as you relax with your morning Kona Coffee on either lanai. The dining/living area offers you a TV/DVD/VHS and CD player. The dining/living is spacious and offers a deluxe queen-size sleeper sofa. Why Rich Purcell, owner chose Maui

The Kamaole Sands Resort is a well cared for and managed resort in southern Kihei. We are very close to the Wailea area of Maui, which has many beautiful golf courses, dining and shopping areas. The Kamaole Beaches, I, II and III are all wonderful beaches staffed with county Lifeguards which offer a safe area for families to enjoy the ocean. The beaches in the Wailea area area also beautiful beaches to enjoy.

What makes this condo unique

The Kamaole Sands offers its guests free Mai Tai parties every Wednesday from 3-5 at the resort's pool area. The Kamaole Sands also has a on-site conciere desk that guests can book and learn about the many island activities and attractions. Our condo offers Wi-Fi connection. Guests can also use internet service in the resorts Registration Building.

We had a wonderful 22 day stay and really appreciated the space afforded by this condo. It was everything we needed for our family vacation. We are already talking about next year! The complex itself is just beautiful... and my younger daughter, a landscape designer, was blown away by the grounds at the Kamaole Sands Resort and the way in which the landscaping has been done. We found the condo very good for the children, and each one could be put down to bed in a closed bedroom. We really like the quietness of building 8 and the overall quietness of the whole complex. We enjoyed the BBQ's and loved the pools. Seeing so many whales, so active and so close into the shore, this year was a special experience for all of us. We enjoyed the drive all around the Lahaina landscape of NW Maui... the Kahului loop. What spectacular sea cliffs and rock formations. Our morning walk on the hotel walkway from Ulua to Polo Beach is another favorite. There are so many more things for us to see and do... returning to Maui is a GIVEN !

Perfect for the whole family

This condo was a perfect fit for our family trip - me, my husband, his brother, my parents, and our toddler. The kitchen was nicely stocked with everything we needed to cook as well as pantry basics. The living room was spacious enough for all of us to sit together. The curtains in the master bedroom were actually blackout curtains, which is a plus for my husband who has trouble sleeping with any light. The grounds were well cared for with plenty of grassy areas to run around. The pool area was nothing special, but the kiddie pool was a really unique amenity for my 2 yo. The best part about the grounds was the grill areas - high quality grills that were immaculately cleaned and had a direct gas line (no tanks or briquettes). Location was great - nice beaches across the street, easy walking distance to restaurants & shops and easy car access to anywhere you want to go. Dealing with the owners was was professional and smooth, thought I wish they offered online credit card payments just to make things easier. Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful Condo!

We stayed here for a week and I would highly recommend it to anyone. The condo was beautiful and had everything, and more, that we needed! The location was perfect. The grounds of the property were gorgeous, and it was very quiet, considering it is a large property, with many buildings. My favorite part was sitting on the lanai in the mornings watching the sunrise with my coffee, while listening to all the birds. There were also spectacular views of the sunset from the lanai. We loved being able to walk across the street to the beach. We were so comfortable there, and it was hard to leave. We will definitely be back.

Another Great Hawaiian holiday

We were in Hawaii for a family wedding. There were 3 families sharing two units. This worked real well as we used the stairway to move from one unit to the other. Both units are well stocked with dishes, cutlery and beach supplies (umbrella chairs bogey boards). The units were very clean and nicely furnished. We like this resort and have stayed a number of times. The lanai's overlook the road leading to the resort behind and it was excessively noisy this year with motorcycles and scooters. There is little that can be done about this,unfortunately.

There is a lock box on each condo door for the key entry, but the owner chooses to not let these be used. Instead we had to carry keys with us and with 10 people in our group this was not the best, so we purchased a lock box of our own which solved our problem of having keys out of the building. Part of the reason we did this is because each key, that is provided, has a key tag on it with the unit number clearly stated. If lost and falls into the wrong hands our valuables in the unit were at risk and the contents of the units. I hope the owner reconsiders this lock box procedure.

Apart from the key situation these are great units and the maintenance staff are very accommodating.

Owner's Response: We have emergency lock boxes on both of our condos with an emergency key secured inside. The lock boxes are intended for emergency use only and not for day to day normal use. We do not provide the lock box codes up front. Should any of our guests accidently forget to bring the key with them (which we mail to all guests prior to their departure for Maui) or misplaces the key for some unfortunate reason during their vacation, they need to contact the owners, or our on-island maintenance company to gain the code for this emergency lock box. This allows us a contingency back up plan to assist our guests re-entry into the condo. Guests are provided 2 sets of keys for use during stays. An emergency back up plan is just that. It is not intended for normal everyday use. It is the responsibility and upfront assumed understanding between all guests and the owners, that all our guests will manage and keep secure the condo keys provided at all times with all their family members during vacation, just as you would with keys to your own home. All keys are then left inside the condo upon departure on the last day and our on-island maintenance company returns the keys back to the owners.

Can't wait to come back!

This was our first trip to Maui and we could not be happier with our accomadations. This condo was well equipped with everything including stuff for the beach and coolers. The grounds and pool at this complex are very well maintained and I saw people out each morning making sure everything looked great. The beach across the street was great but unfortunately the weather was very windy most of the days we were there and this did not make my four yr old too eager to return to the beach. Fairly close to walk down to shops and restaurants but younger children may find it too far. We will definitely stay at his condo again if we are coming to Kihei. I will also reccomend this unit to friends visiting the Kihei area.

The owner was excellent to deal with. This was the first time I took care of Vrbo reservations for my family and they made it very easy for me. Thanks so much for that.

Nice but needs some love.

This is a very comfortable condo but could use some work in quite a few areas. The scatter carpets along the hallway are quite dirty, and the area rug under the dining table is old, warped and curls up on the corners making it a tripping hazard for adults and children alike. The tile needs a very good cleaning, it is quite discoloured and grimy in the corners giving the kitchen and bathrooms a feeling of being dirty. The condo is filled with artificial tropical flower arrangements that take up space and are all quite dusty.

The biggest problem, though, is the fridge. The bottom shelf is cracked and the top shelf freezes your food no matter what temperature the fridge is set at.

All in all this is a very comfortable unit and more reasonably priced than many of the other two bedrooms at Kamaole a Sands, but with a little effort and investment it would be great.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your input regarding our condo. We have addressed these issues with our maintenance company. Regarding the refrigerator we have a new refrigerator ordered and anticipate its arrival the end of April 2014. Regarding the tile, the pest control people come into the condo periodically and spray along the baseboards of the floors. Being in the tropics, we need to have the pest control people come approx. every 3 months. Sometimes this leaves a dusty film along these edges. This issue we have addressed with our maintenance company as well.
